Andrew Stewart just watch your beloved team and don’t bother with the rest. Your obviously aren’t a true fan of rugby in all it’s variety.
You are one of many kiwis who just want two AB teams to fawn over. Good luck. Reality’s a beast.
The dark arts can be beautiful of you Open your mind a bit.
Quirke was impressive. His long pass to Slade from the lineout to set up the third try (which he scored) was sublime.
Wasn’t it! I saw it on the replay and thought wow! It caught the whole team off guard and out of good position
So glad he's proved himself. In Quirke and Randall England finally have special 9s. Ben Youngs has had wonderful moments, but these 2 look special.
Well done England from SA 🇿🇦
Good game mate…we just scraped the win I was worried 😬

Two of the best teams in the world.
Gave us a hell of a game the boys from South Africa, huge respect for your fantastic team
Dissapointed we lost, but what a match to behold! Both teams should be proud. It's been a fantastic Autumn, and I cannot wait for the 6 Nations! More outings for Uruguay please - Chile need an invite too!

Fantastic running rugby from England - even as a Bok fan I've gotta admit you guys deserved it 100% with your positive attitude to the game.
Springboks let 1 try + 8 kicking points go to waste - we didn't deserve it for that reason.
I agree, England were the better team on the day. Seeing the ref miss the high tackle on Marx(right in front of him)in the 77th was unfortunate - and made us question his impartiality. That action if acknowledged could have allowed the Boks to sneak in a possibly undeserved win.
Thanks mate. It could have gone either way. I was a little surprised we held out.

Some great matches and awesome results well played! Coming from an all blacks fan! This World Cup is going to be fierce and rugby is back at its finest , just proof anyone can win it! Good for the game and the fans to put some respect on the game we all love!
9:57 that pass is actually awesome...sets up the try right there. He then scores 👊🏻
Nah. The referee bumps into the south African defender, who then loses 1m on his positioning. Him being late then creates an overlap and a line break.
@@pierre-emmanuelrichard9324 And you have watched that clearly biased and incorrect video pointing out all the "errors" the ref made. 1st of all, Marx clearly runs into the ref not the other way around. 2 Its the same for all teams and its very simple. dont let the ref get in your way.

But this win will help move the team forward in there confidence and unity as a team. Its also great to see young talent coming into the team
England were better, but the strategy was bad. Eddie cocked that up. There's a video online somewhere. Half time coach talk. Erasmus is telling them that you can't beat England by playing rugby. Great game love to see anyone beat the saffas
a victory against the Boks is nothing to be scoffed at, but England almost lost this game for the same reason they lost the WC final, they couldn't stop giving away penalties, should have been a bigger margin but they kept allowing them back into the game and keep the scoreboard ticking over. lucky they didn't lose in the end.
Yeah SA missed a few crucial kicks, England could've easily lost this
Besides the fact this Springboks team is a new team and the substitutes are carbon copies and the replacements simply are as big, incredible huh?
If the game became a big forwards battle, it was only ever gonna go SA’s way let’s be honest. Luckily the 1st half we played some more attacking rugby
If England could stop the Penalties it would have been very rough for SA tjats why I'm please as an England fan.
That's not the same reason England almost lost this at all, the WC final wasn't because of penalties actually.
What is the song that played when south africa scored
I was there p, pitch side seats. Awesome to be that close to the top players and see how it’s done.
England achieved to impose their game during the 1st half, they were in much more difficulty vs Boks power in the 2nd. They will hope to repeat their first 40 minutes during the next 6N. Some calls were tricky, especially Kolisi yellow card or the lack of sanctions vs England after 18 fouls, but overall, it game a tight and ferocious battle which could have go in either way.
Amazing seeing so many fans moaning about the ref when this was an epic game. Seriously annoying thing that has crept into fans all across the world. The ref was v good in this game, 20 pens to SA and a card for repeat infringement. Good game to watch and two good teams going at it. Either team could have won it. Our NZ team have a lot of work to do before being competitive again at RWC 23.
No. 17 penalties before a yellow card, collapsed maul on the try line without a yellow card nor penalty try, that's just quite shocking. Now this kind of farce could be prevented if and only if WR did something to introduce really neutral refs to the game, which it badly needs.
@S MM there are the worst sportsman in the world, bunch of moaning fannies
@@kippsguitar6539 yes worst sportsman in world, oh hang on the English refusing to wear their second place medals at the WC? Bunch of spoilt brats and thats how the rest of the world sees you....back stabbers.
@S MM Get a hold of your nerves. I'm not from SA, nor a Boks fan at all. Just saying the ref was sh*t. So was the one in te Wales latch and geuess what? I'm no aussie neither. Calling everyone a sore loser just because we criticize a dreadful ref performance? Man, I should be the one telling people to grow up. Which I won't, cause that's something kids would tell each other on a little school playground. I maintain, 17 penalties before a yellow card and a collapsed maul on your own tryline that doesn't immediately result in a card and/or penalty try, that's just not good enough for test level. And yes, I think Brace is indeed biased. And this is why I call for neutral refs. Cause a british guy refereeing a british team is just not good enough, not something you would see in a serious sport.
@S MM He's Welsh. And has a contract with the IRFU. That doesn't matter. Those supposed fierce rivalries are a joke nobody's fooled by anymore. Look at you, proud scottish little boy throwing your childish angry ad hominem attacks at me in defense of your sworn enemy ^^ The result, I don't care. England played some more exciting rugby, the boks were boring but efficient. The match could've gone either way and any result would've been fine. The point is, the man with the whistle had decided who would win, and that's not acceptable. Now if your personal point is just to spit your hatred ll night against whoever doesn't share your little views, you'll excuse me, that's just mildly interesting.

The clean break through center field was good read on Elton, pulling Elton and instilling doubt in Damians mind whether he will make the tackle or not.
Elton is notorious for being a turnstile.
All good players for both teams. Thanks
Was that knee to a downed Marcus smith really necessary? That was bloody dirty!
Just frustration.
No
That was absolute frustration. They had been dominating the second half and really thought they were going to win. Then England hung on and hung on and looked like they were going to clinch it. That South African player panicked.
Honestly (amazing game) but both teams showed a lack of dicipline. England gave away like 20 penaltes. South Africa fumbled the ball several times and did silly things like this.
Twice with less than 2 minutes left the teams started pushing and shoving like children.
Fantastic game for sure and superb referring but if both teams can keep their heads on straight, they are going to be unstoppable in 2023
England in the first 20 minutes of half for 80 minutes vs South Africa in the first 20 minutes of the second half for 80 minutes would be the game of the decade.

Thrilled to bits about England's win, but honest enough to admit it owed a lot to SA's inability to take full advantage of their 2nd half dominance. You could also say that the officials did us a bit of a favour by not reversing the penalty at the death because of Lawes coming on. I'm sure the boks fans will point to a few more decisions that went against them but the more intelligent amongst them will surely admit it was their own teams failings, rather than the ref, that cost them in the end.😘
Yeah he owed us atleast 2 penalty tries
Are you joking? Steyn should have been off and so should Etzebeth.
Lawes came on to stop SA committing more foul play which he was entitled to do especially as SA had staff on the field during most of the game

SA was lucky with the Kolisi call, if the ref had played advantage it would have been an England try !
SA always trying to justify a defeat against supposedly weaker opponents. England can beat any team on the day. Secondly, there is not much to talk about if a team of SA's stature can only score one try. There is a reason why they couldnt score more .

Would help if commentator explained why penalties are awarded.
They do in southern hemisphere rugby. Impossible to do in NH because most of them are just inexplicable and don't have an actual reason that one can point to in the rule book. Example is around 4:15. Ruck is formed, Eng player dives over the ruck and uses hands. Ref awards a penalty to eng because he feels like it and doesn't even signal what for... There was one last week where the ref awarded a penalty at halfway and signaled 'held up over the try line'. NH refs absolutely have no idea what they're doing outside of Wales.
England was Sooo lucky. Great game!
Saltyyy
Great victory for England, that could have been far easier, had it not been for the penalties. I expect a team of the quality of SA to score more than just one try , even agaist a difficult opponent
The penalties were as a result of good South African play, and if one of those easy ones had been scored , SA win. Overall SA were the better team.
SA were categorically NOT the "better team" - they play a stifling power game that is incredibly effective but incredibly boring to watch. The only time they ever attempt to move the ball wide is after extended forward and set-piece pressure, which is where all of their points came from. Not a single one came from any entertaining or creative play. Spectators don't pay to watch collapsed scrum penalties and kicks at goal.
@@yousufomar3446 The penalties were the result of lack of discipline on the english side , together with the forceful play of SA. You cannot tell me that a team, which fails to capitalise on the lack of discipline of the English, and can score only one try, can be said to have played better. England was better, and not because SA played worse, simply they were the better team.

South Africa left 8 points behind them off the tee. Would’ve won if pollard didn’t miss either penalty. That’s why they kick. Did the same v Wales in wc semi. It wins them games.

Seems like they were under pressure and needed a try. We don't complain when those decisions pay off.
trust me the SA fans would love it too, we need to start running more especially against younger backlines because when our centres start going NOBODY can stop them.
Were there any highlights?
13:53 that was a try to England and kolisi definitely did not deserve a yellow. An unfortunate collision that’s all. I have been thinking that the only way to eradicate serious injury in these circumstances would be to change the rules: the team who kick the ball are not allowed to challenge for the ball in the air. This would be a dramatic change in the game and we’d see less kicking because you are more likely to lose possession of the ball unless you kick into space. Any thoughts?
Just looking at it, I dont think that yellow should've been given to SA, you can see hes going for the ball not the player
It’s only retrospectively I realise how many completely invented penalties the box were gifted. Penalties for a collapsed maul because box were pushed backwards and fell over, penalties for hands in the ruck despite Curry being first to vermuelen, not being shifted and coming up with the ball. Seeing the highlights makes it difficult to ignore.
À mes yeux les Springboks restent la team N1 avec les Blacks.
Cette victoire plus qu'etriquee n'est pas vraiment un bon signal pour les anglais.

Im sure that any half wit would have realised that there more than 15 players from one team on the pitch which according to the rules is a penalty to the other team.
Can someone explain what the penalty at 14:37 was for?
I think it's because the n°21 is trying to contest with his elbows on the ground wich you should not
It's called bias. The eng player was turned and couldn't release the ball withoit it being a turnover so the ref gave him a penalty to give eng another chance to win. One eyed reffing plain and simple.
Lol i just rewatched it again. 100% bias. The ref signals a penalty and knows he needs to make up a reason so he starts to signal 'holding on' but quickly catches himself because holding on would make no sense so he just inexplicably, awkwardly blows his whistle and gives the signal one uses to award a try... Pathetic, shameful reffing.
