      @@MosesMatsepaneour own fault for grinding our way to the final against the best teams and just running out of steam after the NZ game, beating an inform NZ is hard enough on the best of days let alone in a WC semi. We peaked a game early. Guess that happens when you gotta play Aussies and the all blacks before you even play the final. Great game and on the day SA wanted it more, fair bloody play to you all.

    • @OliCM3
      @OliCM3 5 лет назад +15

      Jasmine G Michael Cheika pushing this fanatical, All Black style ball in hand, heads up rugby is what’s failing them. He refused to prepare for England’s plan and drastically underestimated their attack game, labelling it as unimaginative, even though that unimaginative, well thought our plan has defeated them 6 times on the trot.
      He’s an embarrassment to a once great rugby nation, and needs to go.

    • @yk7seven946
      @yk7seven946 5 лет назад +5

      Problem is that the wallabies never had depth...what i mean is yeah they were the best in the world at one stage but unfortunately the best team they had at that time was the only team...they never bled through new players always played their A1 players even against low ranked teams..so when the A1 players had to retire...the new players had no chance and lower ranked teams are making them look stupid now...and they continue to do the same to this very day...so if you think they suck now...wait til its time for this sucky retires...its only going to get worse (sorry for the long rant)

    • @OliCM3
      @OliCM3 5 лет назад +3

      Ky Albert Not at all mate, I could talk rugby all day!
      I’m guessing you’re Australian? Do you blame RA more than Cheika?
      As an England fan, it seems to me that Cheikas inability to accept his own teams performance as the reason for the bad results is the Wallabies down fall. He refuses to change his game plan, refuses to field different players, and refuses to accept any wrong doing. In the post match interview, he actually said he’d rather lose playing his way, then adapt a more kick & defend game, and claims that’s what Australia wants. Not only is he a hopeless tactician, he’s a deluded idiot. Surely there’s someone in Australia who could do a better job? It’s a shame to see one person completely fail such a potentially great team. I hope they’re sorted by the next WC.

But I reckon they have a good chance of getting to the final, as Wales can beat anyone (on their day) let's hope its their day! If England don't get there I'd actually like Wales to win it, given how much they love the game I think it'd be nice for them to have that. It'll top off a great decade for Welsh sport with Euro 2016 and the emergence of the likes of Bale and Ramsey. Though, beint English I'm afraid if we do face one another, I can only support England! As good as England are and they are bloody good, the Australians had they been more clinical, could have really exlpoited the amount of space they had. Now against NZ, they will take those chances.
    So next weekend, I am not sure who will win, but if NZ have the amount of space Australia had, they will put this England side away. That is no disrespect to this England side, I think they are as good as NZ, but it is the space that Australia had at certain points that leads me to believe if NZ have that much space, inevitably NZ should win. We shall see, but whoever wins out of NZ or England are likely to be the World Champions, is how I see it.

    • @corysmith9897
      @corysmith9897 5 лет назад +2

      I feel like it's pretty evenly matched, maybe we slightly edge it a bit, but if this England side get momentum they look very dangerous. Truth is this is the most nervous I've been for a world cup game. in 2011 and 2015, I felt relatively comfortable, even before the finals, as I knew that we could deal with pretty much any other team, but this current England side are on another level, maybe our level, and I honestly can't call it. We saw what they were able to do against us at twickenham last year, 15 points in 15 minutes, two tries ad a drop goal, and that was with 15 1st and 2nd choice players out injured, they got unlucky on a decision that could have easily gone in their favour in a different game, despite it being the correct call, something we'd likely get away with as well. They are gonna be up for it as well, they have the capacity to physically dominate any team in the world and I'm sure their defence is gonna be a tighter come Saturday. Eddie Jones is a smart man and I'm sure he'll have the correct game plan in place. Their defence is solid and their attacking game is lethal, I feel Ireland have had relatively strong defence in the past (when they beat us and throughout 2018), but have always lacked danger in attack, relying on Stockdale to pull something out of the hat, and tbh, I think Ireland just ran out of Ideas yesterday and tried to play against us like they did in 2018. England however have completely changed their game plan from the dominant team we saw they had in 2016/17, to now an even more dangerous team to play against. They have a world class 10 in Farrell, who thrives under pressure, and they can bring on Ford (who's been world class this tournament) and completely switch it up when needed.
      England's main weakness is themselves, which we've seen on multiple occasions throughout this world cup cycle, but they look to have improved on that massively recently.
      England played the same game plan against Aus as they have done for the past 3 tests at twickenham, and the game followed the same story line. That is why I feel like there was a space for Aus to exploit (as you mentioned), because England knew they could deal with it and rely on their scramble defence. Also tbf to them, Koriebete is absolutely rapid and he'd out pace any team, including us.
      Looking forward to the crowd vs the haka as well, most people call it disrespectful and all but I see it as 2 different cultures fronting up.
      If England turn up, which I'm sure they will, and we play like we did yesterday, its gonna be one for the ages.

    55th minute Aus were on attack, they had a chance for an easy three points yet they decided to go for the scrum and hope for a try. They were behind 27-16. 9 minutes later Eng had a penalty and yes the took the option to kick for goal. 30-16. This totally changed the dynamic of the game for Aus. I was scratching my head thinking they had 25 mins of game time to win. Ah well what an amazing RWC '19 Japan so far.

    This is Karma for Australia for not bringing Folau to RWC.I am happy they got a proper beating from England.

      Yes! Even better was 'woke' Qantas dumping the Wallabies despite Rugby Australia doing everything it could to ingratiate itself with Alan Joyce by 'sacking' Folau. Priceless!

    I was listening to Voyage of Promise from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night while watching this match.
    I'm from England.

    If I could change one development in modern rugby 🏉 it would be eliminating the trend of reserve players lurking on the deadball line to hug their mate when he scores. I find it annoying and unethical. It ruins the the Theatre of the moment and it could impair an opposition attempt to stop a try.

      Quite. Anyone would think they were playing Oikball.

      So true. It has been bugging me for years and at some point there is going to be an international incident over it. Completely bonkers that World Rugby allow non-players on the field of play during a match. If the scoring player runs over the dead ball line then they can celebrate all they want but on the field of play? Massive risk.
