Yeah. I never bought one because I wasn't interested in any of them. I already have a slash, no need to buy a senton. Already have a hoss, no need to buy a granite. Already have a udr, no need to buy a mojave. Already have an E-revo, no need to buy the kraton 6s. Live on a dirt road. Infraction would be useless. Would rather have an xmaxx than a kraton 8s. I think they finally came out with something that I actually want.
Awesome review video! Mine arrived today and you're right, it looks so badass in person. Went with the purple/pink canopy, damn does it pop nice! Really sweet truck, couldn't be happier with my decision. And wow is it fast right out of the box.
That is an awesome color! People are funny, always saying things like "it's just an 'Xyz' with a different body. . ." Many things are similar since smart engineers build off of what works, but that doesn't make it 'just a different body' lol. I think some new people in the hobby don’t know what car types/ classes are. I think they get in with XYZ truck and think anything else that comes out like it is a copy. They don’t understand that it is a truck built to complete in the 4wd stadium truck class and naturally trucks in the same class will have many similar features and styling. Perhaps I should do video on it. But thanks for watching! Yes it takes hours between research and comparison and filming and disassembly and video editing. Who needs sleep? 😁

My favorite parts are the thought they put into the screws in wing it comes with the skids on roof eactra body pin teathers and the metal tool that shows you that armma I'd listening to us. I'm sure the new esc smart stuff is awsome I just don't have any experience there. Thanks for the video

I am eager to see how this updated RC from Arrma performs as well as survives the many RUclips RC influencer's individual levels of bashing/mechano-sadism. Interesting how many new RCs are being released congruently to the EIP checks going out.
I'm so tempted but my last 2 Arrma 3s cars have been dogged with slipper clutch and servo issues. I'm an Arrma fan boy but think I'll stick to 6s. Looks great though

When I was opening the box, I had no idea it was the pink and purple version, I thought it was going to look like the box art. I instantly loved it. It’s bright and really stands out!

RCDriver_Online: You're the only RUclipsr who pointed out the shorter shock towers and shocks. Pretty big oversight on the part of the other reviewers IMO. Even Arrma fails to mention it. As far as I'm concerned, it's the biggest change. The upgraded electronics were previously available. The shorter shock towers are totally new and should make a significant difference in performance. They also offer a new upgrade option for Granite/Big Rock/Typhon owners. Any 3s BLX speed runners should be very interested.
I spend a lot of time looking over details. I’ll even break out the caliper to measure parts. Sometimes I do miss things though. But I do try hard to get all.
so i like this truck and the reaso i would buy it is because they took all the issues from all 3s line cars, and they fixxed it all and put it into 1 vehicle, this would look good with my bigrock but i bent my bigrock motor mount plat when i threw a 6s motor in it... so yea, all i messed up the rear dif... so now im in th hole with everything else im at 100. so i need to fix itfirst, then im selling my slash 4wd and keeping my 2wd offroad drag slash and im staying away from traxxas beside the new 3.0 4 tec and xmaxx for the future.
Love the look 😍 pink looks the best 👍👍but on second looks it almost identical to a granite, different wheels, body, bumpers they still need to improve the plastic composite ball links and just put metal ones in and call it a day,
I almost bought this same brushless system today just to try it out. And also the 85 amp spectrum esc motor combo. I got both of them in my amazon cart lol. But I went with a new motor atm. I got a 4068 size motor which is going with my hobbywing esc. 4s setup. I like having a bunch of esc and motors so I can swap things out n try em lol. I like the spectrum look their ESC's are really nice looking. So I may end up going all spectrum which was what I was going to do when I first got my new Arrma Granite mega v3 and went brushless with it. But for now I'm just doing what ever to it when it comes to it's electronics. I'll prob end up ordering the spectrum kits this weekend prob sun or Monday it really just depends. But I got a special theme for my v3 Granite it's got the joker Arrma skinz skin on it atm and I got the outcast 4s body which is now black. I got the clear one and done the real steal paint job and went black with it. I got the headlights and taillight leds which I got a bunch of different colors for it n can swap em anytime. But atm I got the neon green headlights and the neon purple tail lights in it. And the motor which is currently in it is a spectrum 3300kv but it's all black and silver with a purple dual fan heat sink the fans have skull head stickers on em which is really cool looking lol. They are 8k rpm a piece. And I got the hobbywing Quicrun 120Bl sensored/sensorless esc running it atm. I changed the wire colors on it to neon green and purple 12G speaker wire ofc wire. I put new bullets on em ect the battery I run it on is a Ovonic 5200 mah 3s 50C lipo. The esc requirements was 70C but I don't have any 70C discharge 3s batterys so I use it for it and it hauls balls lol. But tomorrow it's getting the bigger motor and possibly I may change the esc out for my 4s hobbywing which I also done the wire swap green n purple wires. The shocks are purple n chrome aluminum the A arms are also purple aluminum. The inside the motor and spur mount I changed it out for one of my aluminum neon green mounts looks like the stock one but it's 110% aluminum and is cady apple green or a neon green color. I got all the colors they was 50 bucks a pop. My drive shaft is custom made it's also aluminum and is neon purple. So it's got the joker theme to it. Wheels I got the proline super swampers on it with the proline rims they came with pre mounted which I like em. But I'll be swapping those rims out for something a lil diff next week. I got 4 granites atm all of em diff and I love em. All have the arrma Skinz all diff each one has a diff esc and motor size diff color theme ect. That's one thing I love to do is modify and customize my RCs. And I also done the same with my outcast 6s and outcast 8s they are also pretty wicked I may actually start a youtube channel for em. But I dunno what exactly what I wanna do with em and channel name and how to really get it started. But I absolutely love this hobby and your videos deff have help me in the past and I have learned alot from you. So thank you brother

Thanks! I want to help people who are interested see as much detail as possible so they can make a better decision if the truck is right for them. It is in the same class as the Rustler 4x4. Not sure if I’ll do a comparison. My R4x4 was turned into a project and has every option part on it. So it wouldn’t look fair in a side by side.
1:25 yeah its the same car, when you change the body on a car sometimes you need to change things like body mounts and shock towers, you cant not know this, also different wheels, controller and tools dont make it a new car.
Purple is my personal favorite color. 10+ points Arrma for epic wheel wrench even if people don't care to stand by their Amazing Constitutional rights!
Man the metal screw in the wing love it so smart love armma now I need that on my 6s kraton it's so heavy I flip it you can watch your wing just grind down. I gota find away to put screws in my wing
How does this have a dx3 but my v5 kraton comes with a slt3! Come on Horizon 👎😆 other than that I like it, might have to get one for my daughter and trade her remotes 😆
I recently got my Granite and its a great truck but I don't think paying a premium for this model's fancy radio and mobile app is worth it. I'd rather spend the extra $20 and get a 4s model. But honestly, I'd love if not Traxxas or Arrma could do a line of 2wd brushless 2/3s for around $200.
Nah I would consider Maverick Quantum XT Flux...$299 at RC Planet. I do like mini tool that come with it..it’s cool and made of steel not usual plastic but not going fork out more money for BLX 3S model. Bolted plastic wing won’t last after few crashes
I wish they use the 130 esc or even have a option 400 with 130 379 with the 3s , atleast gave us the better remote so I can't complain, far as prices get em now guys ALL MATERIALS ARE SKY ROCKETING EVERYTHIBG GOING UP TREMENDOUSLY
I'd buy this, but the rustler does have some nice features that this doesn't have like the clipless body and self righting. This is a little more durable though and it's faster.
Yeah my first thought was rustler competitor. Which is a good idea since Arrma doesn’t really have anything like it and the rustler is a good selling, fun little starter truck. I suppose id be nice to see a comparison between rustler, vorteks and typhon
I'm just getting back into RC (only have a wl140014, Terra scorcher and a granite). I love the look of this. Would you recommend getting one if already have a Granite or maybe save for something else like a 63 arrma?

Just ordered one! I'm a complete noob to rc cars, what battery pack would be best? Not to concerned about the price, just looking for the best, longest lasting battery I can get for this. Also what's the highest Milli Amp hour battery that can fit? 5,000? 8,000? 10,000? I got the Zee 80c 3s 5200mah battery with the truck so I can drive it when I get it, but I'm sure there are better batteries for it. I just have no clue what those would be. Any help is much appreciated!

All the details they incorporate into their kits now is pretty cool. The screws in the spoiler tips was a really nice touch.

Pretty much a granite with smaller tires ,and different body posts.
I recently got my Granite and its a great truck but I don't think paying a premium for this model's fancy radio and mobile app is worth it. I'd rather spend the extra $20 and get a 4s model. But honestly, I'd love if not Traxxas or Arrma could do a line of 2wd brushless 2/3s for around $200.
Nah I would consider Maverick Quantum XT Flux...$299 at RC Planet. I do like mini tool that come with it..it’s cool and made of steel not usual plastic but not going fork out more money for BLX 3S model. Bolted plastic wing won’t last after few crashes

I'd buy this, but the rustler does have some nice features that this doesn't have like the clipless body and self righting. This is a little more durable though and it's faster.

Cool truck, but Arrma should stop using 14mm hex and just go for 17mm. Getting new tires is a pain! Also stop with the 23t servo.

Yeah my first thought was rustler competitor. Which is a good idea since Arrma doesn’t really have anything like it and the rustler is a good selling, fun little starter truck.

I'm just getting back into RC (only have a wl140014, Terra scorcher and a granite). I love the look of this. Would you recommend getting one if already have a Granite or maybe save for something else like a 63 arrma?

Just ordered one! I'm a complete noob to rc cars, what battery pack would be best? Not to concerned about the price, just looking for the best, longest lasting battery I can get for this. Also what's the highest Milli Amp hour battery that can fit? 5,000? 8,000? 10,000? I got the Zee 80c 3s 5200mah battery with the truck so I can drive it when I get it, but I'm sure there are better batteries for it. I just have no clue what those would be. Any help is much appreciated!
Looks like they haven't revised the slipper housing to prevent dirt from destroying motor bearings. Why is that hole still there
