At the risk of repeating what everybody else is saying, I’d love to see Andrew have a go at this KoM on the road. Come on GCN, put your hand in your pocket and take The Twig to The Alp!

It is very good indeed for an amateur. Just out of curiosity I checked Contadors numbers in his prime and he could do 460 watts for 20 minutes at 62kg...

Almost certainly there was a reading issue, sometimes the garmin heart monitr does it and massively underestimates the bpms. Sub-100bpms at zone 4-5 is just not possible. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though :)
He's only an amateur because he doesn't get paid to ride but in reality his stats are good enough to be a pro, all the top hill climbers are the best at what they do but don't have the same funding hence amateur
Amazing effort I suppose two things to keep in mind RB did this in real world after already completing god knows how many miles plus he would’ve had winds and the virtual corner speed is inaccurate so still not as good as RB but hats off to feather on effort

Great video and incredible stats. I can't believe Andrew Feather doesn't have a Kickr Climb. With one of the best hill climbers in the world talking it up then Wahoo should be sending him a freebie immediately!
I'm new to cycling and I just only six weeks ago climbed Alpes D'huez with only ever cycled 40 miles on a road bike and with no training/programme involved. I completed the climb in just over 1 hour 30 minutes. This is a fantastic effort from Feather! Well done 👏🏼

Several of them normally ride single speed in the mountains as well. Learning and understanding the technique is critical to climbing success I think.
Really fenomenal performance. Huge congratulation 👏 I expect, that heart rate monitor of which data was displayed in Zwift screen monitored Ollie's heart rate 🤣 93 after 35 minutes of riding in avarage 390 W is absolutely mind blowing for me.
The power output of a pro climber is absolutely incredible! Great job Andrew! I am absolutely amazed. I am an average cyclist and could never think about doing that! Very impressive

Didn't look to have a chest strap on, so maybe just picked up the watch readings and they're not good? Showed 108 before starting and then 75 after halfway at 400W, so just not any kind of reality.
Great ride! Would have loved to see how it compares to Alpe du Zwift in parallel. With two different protocols it is possible to connect the trainer to two platforms (one controls the trainer, one just uses the output)

4:25 wait, what????? 354W power at just 72bmp????? that's my heart beat for just existing. And he ends the race at a max rate of 93bmp?? He is a freaking superhuman
Great video, RGT has come some way since I used to Beta test it (well it was free and I didn't want to pay for Zwift back then). I assume that was Ollie's heart rate though as Andrew would be more like 160-180 with that effort. I'm impressed Ollie's HR was only in the 90's standing up! Also no hydration? Surely even Andrew is going to need something in an effort that long.
I thought the actual KOM of Alpe d'Huez was taken during the tour in the 90s by Pantani (who was very obviously on EPO). It would be interesting to see how that one compares to today's times.
Somebody at GCN needs to confirm this bpm question. My resting around low 60's and max I ride to is 155 to be safe (62years). That does not seem correct at 93bpm putting out that power. So this throws all other data into question unless somebody confirms the bpm error tbh.
