The 360 was honestly my favorite console. It had so much for me to play and was my first real look at the HD generation of consoles. Wait, no fable 2 or 3? Those were my favorites by far.
I think games like dishonored really need their place though. They took an easy to rum system, muddy painted looking graphics and weird bodily proportions and turned it into a fantastic 3 part series that didn't end on it's generation. Different endings, diverse powers and more than one route, offering rewards and shorter mission times for the few who decided to look around a bit more and realize a quicker way than the one laid out.
I beat Blue Dragon but it had major issues, and was nowhere near the quality of Lost Odyssey. It was very cutesy and childish, the voice acting and dialogue was cringe, and the combat was too stripped down and basic. Maybe good for kids but as an adult I found it more like a 6 / 10.
Mass Effect has been, and will remain for some time I imagine, one of my favorite trilogies ever. A series that I even just went back and played through mostly again (I'm a few hours into 3 right now) and it's just as influential to me as it ever was. Bioware has meant a lot to me as one of my first games I played on the original Xbox was Knights of the Old Republic and, after booting the first Mass Effect game up the first time, hearing Kaiden's voice as the same voice actor that voiced Carth Onasi in KotOR put me back in that same young teenagers mind that I was all those years ago and really opened me up with that child like wonder that served me well playing through the Mass Effect games. I will always defend these 3 games because, like the ending of 3 or not, anything that can put a person back into that mindset and then pull them out with such a strong story about building relationships with your crew, going into a suicide mission and watching Earth get nearly obliterated along with so many other homeworlds and everything in between is good in my book. Also Garrus is a complete badass.
After the original Xbox Microsoft knew they had to do something big to grab the attention from the PlayStation brand and they did just that. They forgot how to count.
The reason I love the 360 is it had games for everyone. Having an Xbox one has been frustrating because it feels like so much of gaming has been overlooked
I'd give a shoutout to Kameo: Elements of Power. That game was incredibly gorgeous at the time, and it had fun gameplay imo. One of my favorites from the 360 era.
Meh, I tried it on Rare replay and wasn't really captivated by it. Seemed like a pretty cookie-cutter Action-Adventure. And that's how I feel about pretty much all the Rare 360 titles: Solid efforts, but not much more than that.
@@Howitchewstofeel5gum Yeah I haven't played it in a long time, so my opinion could change about how it holds up now. That was just my experience with it in 2005 lol

I disagree. He calls Gears of War’s gameplay run of the mill cover based shooting. Mass Effect’s gameplay is terrible until 2 and 3. And even then there are issues. Mass Effect 1 is also missing things found in previous BioWare games story wise. Tali for instance just sat in the engine room and spouted all her background after recruiting her in Mass Effect 1. In Kotor or Jade Empire that info would be fed to you throughout the game and they’d add more unique story dialog later on. Example being Mission only having her own story in the opening world, but her and Zalabar having unique dialog in later story quests like opposing dark side Revan but Zalabar still owing a life debt.
also massive credit to DeadRising for not only massive amounts and great weapon variety most of which are unconventional. But like, nobody out there talks about the zombies being the main challenge. But the humans are, those asshole convicts, the soldiers. I like that a lot
Didn't grow up with them, but I played Crackdown 1 and 2 on gamepass back in 2019, and recently played Crackdown3. Those games were all great fun. Felt like open world Mario games... With explosions. If you just want a fun game without too much story, I highly recommend all 3 Crackdowns.
Splinter Cell is more synonymous to Xbox than Playstation, especially with the first three games due to the Playstation versions not being able to run them properly without adding ten load screens to each section of a mission. Also, does anyone remember Tenchu Z being a Xbox 360 exclusive? That was pretty dope.

Edit: Bioshock isn't an Xbox 360 exclusive. It was one of the first games that I played on the 360, though.
bioshock isnt a xbox exclusive its released on the same date and the pc version therefore not making it an exclusive granted a year later it came out on the ps3
@@chrislarson9504 thank for such a succinct comment. You're correct. I commented too fast on this one.
I've always associated Bioshock with 360, most of the people I know associated it with 360. Stayed that way until they made Bioshock: The Collection then I saw people who preferred PS picking it up but even then it was like 10 years too late in my honest opinion.
I held onto my XBOX 360 just so I could play Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, and Lost Odyssey.
Nuts and bolts was so much fun, it just didn't need the mud it got for being a banjo game. I think it would have been more fondly looked back on if it wasn't a bad banjo game and more of its own thing
I'd also add Lost Odyssey and Witcher 2 (console exclusive, but was also on PC).
True the witcher 2 always gets overshadowed by its sequel
I Love playing games on Xbox 360 like cod Old Minecraft and Batman games ( Just the nostalgia and how good the games were )
And halo games
Also, any Twisted Pixel game. Splosion Man, Ms Splosion Man, the Maw, Comic Jumper and Gunstringer. All fantastic indie titles....... plus, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon were great
This is perfect! I was just gonna start collecting for my 360,and this vid gave me pointers as to what to get.
GEometry wars was great i remember the first time i got to 1 million without loosing a single life then my friend pointed out i was logged on his profile and started telling everyone he got to 1 million, probably just to rub it in but still. also viva pinata was the best xbox 360 game glad to see it's on the list
Man I thought by psychonauts would be on this. But geometry wars and viva piñata were on it makes me happy some child hood games are on there.
If halo 3 isn’t on here I’ll be disappointed
Edit: I’m satisfied
Yeah, but it's only on here because he included EVERY Halo game that was released on the 360.
We all knew it will be here
This is the earliest I've ever been on a Completionist vid.
Me too
Same

This list needs more Fable titles imo. Otherwise, wonderful video!
Just SOME fable title at least!!!
The rumor of a Fable 4 game in the making is the only reason I am considering to upgrade to an Xbox... X (We arent suppose to call it "Xbox series X" right? XD) !!
He played Fable anniversary, didn't like it, and said he isn't interested in the sequels.
@@1Pineapple I'd assume that if it's available on Xbox, it will also be available on PC because Microsoft ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ At the risk of being scolded by the masses, there's not really any reason to own an Xbox anymore.
@@CeHee123 Now that you mentioned it, I remember that now.
i would argue that Halo definitely broke the mold. it kicked off a lot of FPS hallmarks that we see in lots of games today
funny enough the 360 was last time i was interested in a microsoft console.
I don‘t think you‘re the only one.
I had an Xbox one, regretted not going with a PS4 the entire time and now have a ps5.
Same. Gears of War 2
Lol
I liked the xbox ones back compat. I dont regret the xbox one purchase. But in all honesty if they dont add more games soon ill be buying a ps5 this time instead of an xbox
The 360 was honestly my favorite console. It had so much for me to play and was my first real look at the HD generation of consoles.
Wait, no fable 2 or 3? Those were my favorites by far.
The first and only mass effect game I ever tried was Andromeda. so I never knew how good it was.
That's like saying, "the first pizza I've ever tried was the pineapple pizza"
I was sooo sure you were going to include Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts
I think games like dishonored really need their place though. They took an easy to rum system, muddy painted looking graphics and weird bodily proportions and turned it into a fantastic 3 part series that didn't end on it's generation. Different endings, diverse powers and more than one route, offering rewards and shorter mission times for the few who decided to look around a bit more and realize a quicker way than the one laid out.
I can barely put into words how excited I get when I see you put up a video with this sort of title
No one ever puts Blue Dragon on their top 10 :/
I would bet he hasn't played it
It's a bit average, graphics and sound are 10/10 but the characters and story don't grip you like other RPG on the system. In my opinion.
Xbox 360 was and probably still is my favorite console. Considering the series x with the SSD, the 360 seems to load nearly as fast in a lot of cases.
The 360 had some interesting exclusives beyond the marquee titles. Id love to see you try to tackle some of them on Completionist Video's.
Remember that the original Xbox also had an amazing library with great exclusives.
Can't believe he unironically chose viva piñata
I'm glad you picked Shadow Complex, it is one of my favorite 360 games. Bonus points for Mass Effect being #1!
I missed fable 2 in this list. Best RPG of this time
He played Fable anniversary, didn't like it and has said he he has no interest in the sequels.
Ninja Gaiden! Rad!
Glad you included it. My favourite game of all time.
The naming system for the Xbox consoles give me a headache
I’m a little sad not to see any mention of Blue Dragon. Such an underrated rpg and to this day still only released on the 360
Pre watch: if lost Odyssey isn't here I riot
Edit: I riot
It didn’t surprise me that he would leave out the two best JRPG on 360. Blue Dragon & Lost Odyssey 🤦🏻♂️🤔
Implying a basic ass RUclipsr that completes mainstream games would know anything about such a hidden gem.
Holy shit, someone mentioned Alan Wake and had nice things to say! Thank you. Absolutely love that game.
Halo 3, 4 and reach, gears of war all 4 games, mass effect, and Batman Arkham games ❤️
I remember seeing a used copy of mass effect in a GameStop and thought it looked interesting, so glad I bought it back then ❤️
My number 1 was blue dragon
My personal number 1 is always Bayonetta. When I first popped that into my 360, it honestly felt like I was playing a next generation Dreamcast game.
After the original Xbox Microsoft knew they had to do something big to grab the attention from the PlayStation brand and they did just that. They forgot how to count.
The reason I love the 360 is it had games for everyone. Having an Xbox one has been frustrating because it feels like so much of gaming has been overlooked
I was really expecting Fuzion Frenzy at some point in this list
I'm Commander Shepard, and Mass Effect is my favorite game on the 360.
I'd give a shoutout to Kameo: Elements of Power. That game was incredibly gorgeous at the time, and it had fun gameplay imo. One of my favorites from the 360 era.
I'd say it can still look pretty for today. Absolutely gorgeous game with a great artistic direction.
@@Mr.Foxhat Agreed :) Good ol' Rare.
An actual hidden gem up to this day...
Let's not forget the amazing indie XBLA games. Xbox had these before smart phones ruined it.

Mass Effect at the top of the list, that's what I'm talkin' about, brother!
@@dingle2987 its his opinion
The 360 introduced me to online gaming. Even though I use playstation now, this was a breath of fresh air
"the test isnt that confusing"
the test: xbox 360
What does this mean?
Ha?
Ok?
i PRAY that they make a gears of war collection like they did with halo and what they’re doing with mass effect
Forza Motorsport 4, I am still working on completing it at someday.
Take your sweet ass time. There's no rush in paradise.
also massive credit to DeadRising for not only massive amounts and great weapon variety most of which are unconventional. But like, nobody out there talks about the zombies being the main challenge. But the humans are, those asshole convicts, the soldiers. I like that a lot
I just started playing Blue Dragon, it's not a masterpiece but I'm liking it so far and I'm very curious to see what it has to offer !
I remember getting it as a kid from the library and couldn't get past the first boss lmao. Might grab it again ngl
_I adore Alan Wake!_ 🔦
_I wish it would get a proper sequel (on PlayStation, too)_ 🤞🏻

Will it be on both consoles? 🎮

Great written script and well put together video! Thanks for this epic content. I really enjoyed it eventhough I didn't own a Xbox 360.
IRS is coming 🎉
I can never not associate Super Meat Boy with a cold Sprite on a hot summer day.
i remember my friend had a 360 and we always played Minecraft, ah the old days (i say that like the boomer i am not)
Those were better times
XBOX360 minecraft was a different universe

Splinter Cell is more synonymous to Xbox than Playstation, especially with the first three games due to the Playstation versions not being able to run them properly without adding ten load screens to each section of a mission. Also, does anyone remember Tenchu Z being a Xbox 360 exclusive? That was pretty dope.
