Critter Country CLOSING FOR MONTHS! New Ride & Shops Coming later this Year!

Disneyland’s Critter Country area will temporarily close beginning on May 1 as officials work to reimagine two retail shops, and complete Tiana's Bayou Adventure theme park officials announced Monday, March 18th!
“Add another stop to your trip down to the bayou because two reimagined retail stores inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ ‘The Princess and the Frog’ are coming to Disneyland Resort,” the Disney Parks Blog said.
Briar Patch and the left-hand side of Pooh Corner will be reimagined into Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club, respectively.

Poohs Corner is the CUTEST shop at Disney. I’m hoping they keep a good portion of that. It’s definitely my favorite one to walk through.

The Mile Long Bar was on the far right side of this building. The Swingin Teddy Bear Arcade was in the middle, and a store was on the far left.

Noooo..... Not more "gift" shops. How many "gift" shops does one amusement park need. Disneyland has more "gift" shops that cats....... Won't be long before there'll be "gift" shops at the exit of "gift" shops....... Please, no more "gift" shops.... New rides are good, but no more shops...... LOL Thanks to Disneyland Beat for their time, work and posting.

I think the new shops are taking space in previous shops also, so I would think that’s not more shops but the same.

Wait so…it’s going to be Tiana Land then 😐 Critter Country is gone. I wasn’t aware Princess and the Frog was so popular that it gets its own land. Only thing in the way is Haunted Mansion. Otherwise it’d be completely Tiana.
But whatever. All I care about is my bear! What are they doing to do with my bear? 😭 It’s such a lovely set up with the ride and Pooh’s Corner. But it’s going to be such a weird set up with Tiana everywhere and then an itty bitty spot of Winnie the Pooh.

Part of Critter Country will be a portion of New Orleans Square and the rest of the area will be the Hundred Acre Wood.

Winnie the Pooh will definitely close temporarily. Because if that whole area is closed then the ride has to be closed too. Because you can't access it with that whole area blocked off. But I don't think it will get rethemed
