Hi so I’m going too Disney land for Girl Scouts but I’m scared of rollar coasters and I don’t want too go on water rides or anything so if you could help me out what rides I should ride that would be amazing bc I would like some slow rides and others ones so if you could help that would be cool
This is the guide you’re looking for: Disneyland Rides 2024 Ultimate Guide | EVERYTHING You Need to Know ruclips.net/video/2r-ZullPAkw/видео.html That’ll highlight every ride so you can see if it’s for you or not. There are only a handful of roller coasters. Most of Disneyland is pretty friendly to all types of people. The ones to avoid are Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, and Chip and Dale’s Gadget Coaster. The rest of the rides should be agreeable to you.
Hi Traver, do you have a video or section of a video where you outline how the park day reservation works? Is that something you can only do a certain number of days in advance or can we do that once we buy our tickets?
It is a certain number of days in advance. I’m not sure how many at this point for ticketed guests, but if your tickets are linked to your account, go to the reservation page and try to make some. If the dates are grayed out, you are too far away. I feel like the last time I heard they updated it, it was 120 days. But they might have made it 180? I’m not 100% positive. Here’s the reservation page: disneyland.disney.go.com/experience-updates/park-reservations/
Great vid..as always…I would have to add Star Tours, just because I’ve loved it since the day it opened,. Yes I had flew down the week it opened and loved it.
Just went Saturday have not been there in three years to my seven-year-old and honestly Disney does the best great beautiful park I know it’s expensive, but it’s worth every penny just a good time and my son just smile and enjoy every moment of it was worth $400 for just me and him can’t complain. I hate it for so long because of the price. Honestly, my son smile was worth every penny and I had a good time also so worth it not talking about the movies, but the theme park in general is absolutely one of the best low key went on all the rides. Such a good time. I enjoyed it my son enjoyed it. Yes, it’s pricey, but when it comes to just perfection they still got it
I feel like I remember Albert Falls cascading down in a single wide stream instead of in three thin streams. Can anyone tell when and why this changed? I feel like it makes the "back side of water" joke less effective visually.
You said the best time to ride the Star Wars one is 9am. If we have a 10am reservation at Oga's Cantina what time would you plan to try to start the ride? I'm worried about not timing it right and missing the reservation.
Depends on the current wait time. I’ve seen it at 40 minutes and 60 minutes at 9 AM. You might want to aim for 8:45 to play it safe. You can check in 15 minutes early to Oga’s. You can also be 15 minutes late. But truthfully, that time of the morning is not necessarily super busy. You should be fine even if you’re a little late.
I love ranking videos of the parks! My list would be quite similar. Where would’ve you slotted in Splash Mountain before it closed? Have you ever thought about doing some WDW versus DL ride comparisons? Thanks for the great content!!
I’ve done a few a long time ago. Long before my videos were popular and they didn’t do well, so they are hidden now. But I could try to come up with a way to update them for the way I currently film things.
Hi Traver. I've read that of the two tracks on the Matterhorn ride, the Fantasyland side is a little smoother. I've also read that the left side is the smoother one. So is that the left side as you're boarding the ride? My confusion is that it seems like when you're at the point of boarding, Fantasyland would be to your right! And at what point in the line do you get to make the choice between left and right? Thank you!
I do believe the right side is better. Yes. The Fantasyland side. The side to the right when facing the entrance sign. You don’t actually get to choose. There’s a cast member at the merge between standby and lightning lane that tells people which side to take and it’s solely based on which one is currently open enough to accept new guests. You could probably make a request of that cast member, but if there’s no space in the line you want to take you, they may force you to go where they are directing.
We were able to do 7 out of the 11 mentioned here in the two days we've been able to go this week. Your rope drop recommendations were spot on! We have one more day tomorrow and hope to finish this list (other than haunted mansion). We hope to see you there!
I won’t be there tomorrow, but will be on Tuesday, the 13th. I’m glad to hear you’re having a good time and hope you can knock out the rest of the rides you need! Enjoy!
My favorite Disneyland ride (not counting DCA rides) is Space Mountain! Probably bc I went on expecting it to be like the Space Mountain at WDW (which is ROUGH) and it was actually way better!
That’ll never happen, because that would mean Disneyland has stopped improving. Walt said Disneyland will never be completed. And so long as there are improvements to be made, rides to be added, areas to be modernized, then Disneyland will always have something closed to work on it. The closest you’ll get to that are during the peak seasons of the year, where Disneyland tries its best not to do standard maintenance. But that doesn’t include big projects like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the Haunted Mansion queue renovation.
Sorry…any top ten Disneyland ride list without The Steam Trains in the list just disqualifies the whole list. It’s by far the coolest and 1st ride you see when entering Disneyland…travels the perimeter of the park…has 4 stops…is powered by engines that are well over 100 years old…and was the most beloved ride of Walt… Hearing that chug and whistle throughout the park is real magic.
Great video! Japan also has a very similar Indiana Jones ride. It would be great if you could do a video on how to maximize your time if you only can spend one day between Disneyland and California Adventure with Genie Plus and rope drop
Question about Matterhorn, I know the two sides (Fantasyland and Tomorrowland) are slightly different, can you choose which side you go on and if so how?
No, you can’t choose unfortunately. It’s all up to the cast member. Though you can request a side. I believe Fantasyland is the tamer side if I remember right.
Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run and Star Tours would be good honorable mentions. Also it will be interesting to see where Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ends up on the list next year, and if it even measures up to Splash Mountain.
We’ll have to wait and see I guess. Hopefully it’s good and a worthy replacement. I’m still confused how there’s a mountain in the bayou. I’ve been to Louisiana more than a few times. 🤔
If I don't care about the mountains, should I ropedrop RotR then? That's my number 1 I wanna do. Second would be Mickey's Runway, and then the classics on fantasyland and adventureland. I've been eating up all your videos cause I'm going for the first time ever this september for just one day.
I still wouldn’t recommend it for the very reason you saw here. It’s a 50/50 shot you’ll walk all the way over there and they’ll have a delayed opening. That delay could be 20 minutes or 3 hours. Even if it is open, you’ll spend 20 minutes going through the preshows alone. It’ll likely be 30-40 minutes before you get off. Plus the time it takes to walk there and you’re looking at 8:45 before you can do anything else at the earliest. Meanwhile, I’d have ridden three rides by then. You don’t necessarily need to do the mountains, but 8-9 is one of the best times to be riding the rides that don’t take a significant amount of time. Best time for Rise is either 9-10 AM or 7-8 PM.

She is down to go in every other ride (other than Incredicoaster), but for some reason she is scared to go on Space Mountain. Since it's just her and I going, I won't be able to go on it myself. Rope drop is showing up to the park and being there right at park opening. They “drop” a rope out of the way right before. “Golden hour” is a term for the first 1-2 hours a park is open when the lines are at some of the shortest they will be the whole day.
My first Visit to Disneyland was in 2022 and I only went on one ride due to my body killing me while walking that ride was Big thunder Mountain railroad
Before the park opens at 8 AM there is a rope that prevents guests from entering the various lands of the park. Everyone is clustered in the Hub area. Both fantastic rides!
Peter pans ride is not that good we wasted 1 hour of our time in the line for a short 5 minute ride
I 100% agree. As I stated, this list of rides is based solely on the popular opinion and research.
Peter Pan doesn’t even crack my Top 20 if I remember my rankings from last year.
There’s only one ride at Disneyland. Everything else is called an attraction. And that one ride is located in fantasy land
Witch one

I absolutely HATE M&M RR.. Theh absolutely maimed the classic characters. Goofy looks straight up scary. Shame on Disney for doing that to them.
I agree. The newer characters make Mickey borderline psychotic, rude, and angry all the time.
