Truck driving would be a dream job for this dude! Companies are begging for long haul drivers. He'd work 3-5 days a week, get time to see his kids, have a place to stay in the truck, and make good money. Hell in the right areas he could be a Teamster too which means great benefits.
Just replying to boost this comment. Other people in the comments have raised a lot of questions about his income/lifestyle but honestly whatever the case is, trucking seems like a way better pivot. In case he's reading this though: ONLY TAKE A JOB AN EMPLOYEE, NOT AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR!! Contrary to the name, contractors have no more independence than a real employee and only employees can get proper benefits, union membership etc
Obviously, this guy has undiagnosed ADHD Focusing, making a plan, and sticking to a plan is beyond him. He can make 100 plans, he just can't start, or complete. If he is staying in hotels when he has his kids every weekend. A better choice is take the kids every other weekend, he will save half of the hotel money, and give the kids every other weekend to be with their friends.
He's a former marketing manager who's blaming his ex gf ("when I met the female") for all his bad decisions. He's definitely spinning things to make himself look good on camera
I'm not even seven minutes in, and between "being in logistics", "the female", "the girl", somehow deciding that an $83K job was a good enough reason to drop your $300K job because it "wasn't a real job", and "transferring a house to your girlfriend's mom", this dude is absolutely whack. You should take all of the "facts" he's stating and ask him to briefly summarize them at the end, I guarantee you they all change because they're embellished and/or completely untrue.
Caleb, I think you should be asking guests to provide two months of pay stubs to verify income before coming on the show. I feel like every guest qualifies their income with “I think” or “I’m not sure”. Or, they seem to overinflate to keep up appearances. Some fact checking would be nice because the budgeting is worthless if the income is innaccurate.
I genuinely wonder about the overinflating their income. I hear their background, what they do, and where they live and see the way they present themselves and think "damn, they manage to make that much and still "can't" afford to live?" If I've learned two things from this show it's 1. A lot of people I see probably can't afford the lifestyle they live and 2. Damn actually maybe they can if they managed it cuz where do people find these higher paying jobs and low rent?? I'm in Texas too, but I guess I should've chosen tech or something 😂
@@12137Marthhere in California near the beach ingot a great deal at 2.2k. Granted I just turned 29 and earn $120k. Live below my means and drive a used paid off 2016 Altima haha! Yes tech is where it's at.
yeah I made things way harder on myself..by dwelling on the past.. it changed my whole personality and perspective on things.. But literally going on the audit and getting a wake up call motivated me to change.. Plus I ditched the nomad life.. found a place to live.. been focusing more on my resell business.. this August will make 20 years since I started.. I've cleared up 3 debts , and in the process of negotiating 2 others . I'm down to 1 credit card . And knocked off using afterpay.. So I think going on financial audit was a success..even if I'm getting roasted in the comments
I'm so glad to hear you're in a better situation. I really felt bad for you. Have you managed to get the rogue credit removed from your report that appeared? Keep everyone updated on how you're doing and never worry about some of the negative comments, they're just a holes. Take care buddy.
It's good to hear the good news and keep up the good work man. You still have great opportunities in your future if you go all in on resell business. don't listen to the people in the comments.
I obviously don’t know you but I often feel overwhelmed like you do. I’d love to know more about you. I’m betting that the women in your life you were nice and over generous with and they took advantage of you by not loving you back and not having faith in you. You probably were always trying to change for them because they would not accept you for you. I can see a lot of myself in you. Only difference is I rarely waste any money and I’m actually almost afraid to spend anything never taking vacations. Don’t allow yourself to get like me hoping each night I go to sleep I hope I won’t wake up. Good like my man, hug your kids.
Great work. Keep it up. The comments are part of the process. If you ever find yourself falling back in the same patters come here and you'll get a free wakeup call. Looking forward to your follow-up episode. Cheers!!
Yeah I don't think Caleb can fix him unfortunately. Caleb if you're reading this, don't be a "I can fix him" girl and let this one go. No follow up episodes on him please.
I admit that the stories on how they did it would be somewhat of a change (and interesting, and a source of hope) from the "ho my god this is so fucked up you're about to go broke and die on the Walmart floor at 85" videos. Although I always find them interesting and will keep watching, it's starting to get depressing at this point, and I'm like "OMG how low can this actually go"... 😂
I also Work in E-Commerce and Make $5k+ a month, he may not be able to say exactly what hes selling specifically not because its illegal, just because it could hurt his business if other people found out exactly how and what he was doing is all. @@IronWolfX23
@@IronWolfX23 How, there are tons of resellers who sell pretty much whatever they get their hands on for cheap. No one's gonna list out every category they sell in, that's stupid.
Dude is a prime candidate for getting his CDL in 1 month and being a truck driver. Swift Transportation is based right there in Arizona and even offers free paid training.
I came here to say this exact same thing. He could literally live in his sleeper, have benefits, and literally build a future and stack his cash. JUST DONT get into one of those lease programs where they try to get to pass their expenses off to the drivers. It could potentially put him further into the hole, especially since he didn’t file taxes for 2 years
I heard some people will not file/pay after 8 years. Eventually the fear literally will go away until the mail comes in one day and then they’ll panic.
Ya, Caleb deals with way more issues than he should with these people. These people need counseling first, then financial services. What a show, though!
@@hayleydavis7562would’ve thought he was occasionally selling drugs based on what he firstly said. Went from I resell stuff to im a contractor for DoorDash and work for a partner company of ups
It’s very common for Uber drivers because Uber wants you to use their app all the time but their nav kinda sucks ass depending on where you live so people use 2nd phone for Waze or google/Apple Maps. If you drive for Uber it can be totally worth the cost of a 2nd phone plus you won’t have your buisiness information on a personal phone number. A mid tier Samsung is like a couple hundred used or less, worth it if you rideshare full time. You can also double app (Uber and Lyft at the same time) which can actually earn you more money per hour since you can cherry pick the highest paying rides/delivery.
Edit: I wasn’t sure if I wanted to add this in, but I will. I struggle with Asperger Syndrome and I see a lot of myself in you, Justin. You mentioned lack of social skills and stuff. Maybe read about Aspergers and if you can relate then maybe it’s something you deal with too. I remember when someone mentioned it to me, I didn’t even know what Aspergers was. Although it was a big shock realizing that I had been struggling with something for 25 years without ever realizing it, it also provided me with a massive amount of clarity. I always thought it was a mix of depression/anxiety, but it was always felt like much more than that. Justin!!! If you’re reading this man, keep your chin up. One big step I would take in all of this is hiring a CPA like Caleb said for your taxes but also GETTING ORGANIZED. Over the course of this video I wrote down a couple different lists. I started with my own, but then later in the video Caleb made one too. I put them both down here. Know that we care about you!!!! As an internet stranger, I wouldn’t have taken the time to do this if I didn’t care. I’ll start with Caleb’s list: 1.) Return the car and get an AirBnB 2.) Get a job. The job will be proof of income so the apartments you’ll look can see you make money. It’s hard to prove that with a delivery job. Working in a warehouse can be a good option. I did it for a few years and depending on the company, they’ll train you, you work alone most of the time, it doesn’t really require social skills, and it pays okay and often comes with at least partial benefits. Being a truck driver is another great option and your lifestyle already fits a lot of what you’d have to adapt to anyways. 3.) Apartment hunting. If you can’t find an apartment, rent for longer periods of time on AirBnB. Check your average rent prices in the area you want to live (probably somewhere close to the kids) and make sure you’re not paying more than what the average person would. My list of additional notes: 1.) Getting organized is such a good feeling even when you feel so far behind. You’ll finally be able to see everything in front of you and it’ll make the self destructive spending habits much easier to see. Caleb showed you the pie charts… study them!!! 2.) Stop renting cars. Stop with the hotels. Stop with these ultra-temporary solutions. And start transitioning to longer term solutions. You could’ve bought or financed instead of renting a car. Looking for a studio or one-bedroom apartment is better than spending even MORE per month on 4-5 hotel rooms if you want to see your kids every weekend. Hotel = ~$250 x 4.5 = $1125. That’s enough money for an apartment if you look hard enough. Facebook Marketplace and Zillow Rentals are usually what I use when I’m searching for apartments. 3.) One horrible horrible habit you seem to have is getting loans for everything. Loans are something you want to avoid altogether. They are literally structured to sell you a product for more than what it’s actually worth. And getting loans on your loans is obviously much worse. 4.) Stop buying FOOD from fast food places and gas stations. You’re once again paying more and eating less. Shop at grocery stores or larger places with lower prices. When I was homeless and living in my car, I used to get ALL my food from Dollar Tree or Dollar General. Was it easy? No. Did it make my life easier in the long term because I saved so much money? Yes. I still shop at dollar stores today!
Every episode since the money guys has been INSANE. I feel bad I even filled out the form to get on the show at this point. So many people need this more than I do
I’m so excited. I’ve been waiting for this day! I am completely consumer debt free today. $17k paid off just within the last 8 months. Thank you Caleb for all the inspiration and motivation to do so! All that’s left is my student loans and mortgage, and I’m gonna knock out the student loans next.
Bravo!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Good job! That takes a lot of self discipline and foresight and you paid off a LOT in 8 months. Toasting to you, and keep going forward on this path!
@@abramsrobI feel you. The housing market is insane right now, and even if it was favorable for buyers, wage stagnation is so bad that buying homes is out of reach for a ton of people. I won’t lie, I am extremely privileged to have gotten a home in a low cost of living area back when the housing market was a little more favorable + assistance from family (I pay it back as a part of my consumer debt) . But there is no way I could ever do it again.
Notice he said he worked at goodwill and had a resale business. Guarantee 100% he was marking expensive donated goods for $1, Buying it himself, then selling on eBay.
Use to work there and I'll say depending on who your management is, it's very easy to play that system. Very easy to get things cheap and buy things before the customer sees them. Also most of the time those pricing have no idea what the value is of the thing they are looking at. There are blanket prices used for things so very easy to get expensive things for cheap even without playing the system.
I feel like this is the type of person that does best in a community/structured home situation. Those don't really exist for non-rehabilitation reasons in our society and it does people like this a great disservice. Some people just aren't great on their own. No shame in that- just is what it is.
Big agree, this is a great take and a good reminder than none of us were really ever meant to "do it all". I am "functional" but have ADHD and would of benefited from something like this. I have better financial literacy and was always able to keep a roof over my head/make money but that has come at a huge cost of my mental health and decline in other areas (not eating regularly, or regular job changes for example). ADHD and many other mental health issues are invisible disabilities and just because you look okay and like you should know better doesn't mean much for stability and thriving. We could be a bigger benefit to our communities if those basics were taking care of by people who are good at them and so that we are free to contribute/overwork in other ways lmao. It wouldn't surprise me if this guy works non-stop. What Caleb did with giving him a step by step plan is great and cuts down on executive function issues, by providing a simple roadmap but I hope he can get support so he doesn't get lost in the sauce on the way.
Yes this. I come from a huge family and always lived in a multi generational home. When I left on my own I struggled really hard with being alone and finding a sense of purpose. Some people thrive on their own, and some people thrive in communities.
I didn’t realize I may need this type of structure until you made this comment. I can be “functional” for a period of a couple months, but I seem to always fall off the wagon.
CALEB has such a grace to deal with these complex situations. Man I felt drained just by watching. I hope buddy gets the help he needs. Mental health is really need in this situation, one can tell in the manner he handles the conversation. Also Caleb, you have really nice hands! 😁
"i found myself going to casino a lot but it wasn't a habit of spending my own money, i was winning a lot, a lot of money" where'd that money go? "back into the machines i guess" that's awesome, some of the coolest logic i've heard in quite some time
He reminds me of my cousin. Dyslexic, socially functional but the cylinders didn't fire in the right order. It all didn't end well for him. This dude is capable, but mentally his own worst enemy. It'll take epic levels of therapy to right this ship.
Justin, Thank you for being so open and honest during this episode it was very informative and I think that speaking about it all out loud hopefully really helped you understand the situation you’re in. You will be in my prayers and everyone here is rooting for ya. Good luck brother
I think these are my favorite episodes. Where we see people who need help because they really don't know. Before I started watching this show, I thought I was good. I'd manage to secure a 3 month emergency fund that I kept dipping into and couldn't grow. I watched a few of your episodes and finally did my own financial audit. I was spending a shit ton on delivery and eating out and while I had a budget, I was not using it. In the last few months I've cleared out my existing credit card debt, started building back up my emergency fund, and putting more into retirement. This kind of real easily implementable change is so important. Thanks, Caleb!
Pure gold, Caleb. I feel badly for this gentleman- he clearly needs a good therapist and you handled his crumbling deck of cards and this endless episode with compassion and honesty.
@@katiempojer As a therapist, you would have thought about the ethical implications of publicly stating your "guess" about his possible diagnoses. You don't have nearly enough information to determine any of those things, nor does the guest or anyone gain anything from you commenting a list of armchair diagnoses.
@@tokebak4291 Not really Gambling is his coping mechanism. (This is me projecting because i saw some similarities in me when i was failing uni and on the edge of getting deported) If he found something else first, he would do other one excessively. If i had found gambling first, i would look like a gambler. He is not a gambler per say. His problem stresses him out so much that he would rather ignore and forget about them. Out of sight, out of mind. Gambling probably distracted his mind. Like a bafld meditative practice . He was sitting in a crashing plane with a parashute on his back and somehow survived it. Him going on the show is a massive sign of him finally coming to reality.
This dude is holding something back. No way you’re making 300k a year reselling and your girl says, “you know, I think maybe you should get a REAL job”. 😂
Sounds like his girlfriend was probably financing his life while he did a hobby that barely paid his 1/2 of the bills, got sick of it, they broke up and couldn't hack it alone.
As this guy told his rambling story about living in his car, going back and forth from AZ to CA, unstable lifestyle, it put in mind of a guy on another TV show. I used to watch a spinoff of the show Hoarders, where people with various OCD conditions got help from therapists. One guy was obsessed with going to the gym ALL THE TIME, exercising, jogging, etc. He also did this weird running and spinning move while jogging. That man was obsessed with the thought of death and the therapist thought that the patient kept active 24/7 to distract him from his thoughts. I got the same vibe from this guy - he has keep his life in chaos to distract him from something going on in his head. I hope he follows Caleb's advice.
I'm getting vibes of bipolar disorder because he decribes his low points and his choices seem to reflect mania--impulsive and they just don't make sense. Nothing to be ashamed of, I just hope whatever is at the root of it all he tries to address that. I can't remember the name but I know which one you're talking about. Pretty sure it was a TLC channel show like you said
Caleb, thank you for bringing humanity into your financial audits. I almost cried when you took the time to tell him that he mattered. He may have never heard that from someone, and sadly too many people don’t hear this. Whether or not this guy can get his financial situation turned around, he is a human just like us all, and deserves to be treated with decency. I admire you for recognizing this and advocating for your guests to get mental health support. Rock on Caleb ❤
Not ASD if that's what you mean. Maybe ADD. Definitely low IQ. But also a persistent refusal to take responsibility which is 100% on him . Although he will blame The Female.
“I voluntarily gave up the car for repo but i SPRAY PAINTED it first. This guy is an absolute mess. This guy needs way more help than what Caleb can do.
@@rachelallen5779 at like 37 minutes he talks about spray painting the nissan because he was doing a door dash order to Home Depot and bought spray paint cause he was mad. Then at 43 he says when the car went to auction it went for less money cause he painted it and he still owes money on it 6 months later. @@GXKid06 Almost 40 years old and spray painting cars because he's mad that they (shocker) expected him to pay for it and repossessed it when he didn't.
Wow Caleb you were tested on this one. You were right, he is so deep he needs to start on the mindset and basic, then really get into the details. He seems nice enough and I hope he gets out of the mess, which he will if he uses the support. Definitely a follow-up is needed twice over for him. Good luck and great guest Caleb.
From the very beginning, when he claimed he let his live-in girlfriend talk him out of a six-figure reseller's business to get a $80k job, I knew were were only getting half the story. I'm 75 percent of the way through the video, and I'm actually certain that he himself has no objective grasp on a single one of these situations, but but I am certain we are getting less than 30% of the truth. I am also certain he is in severe mental health crisis. If anybody knows this guy, please get him to help ASAP.
Thank you so much for offering this man help!! Wow, I’m totally shocked by his story (and excuses) and hope he follows through with a plan on getting his life back together.
He's exactly like my sister-in-law. It never made sense until I realized that she is addicted to fentanyl. She eventually lost her vehicle and she lives on the streets now (in AZ coincidentally). It would take her all day and night to get money and fentanyl. She lost her job and she had the most insane stories. I had her kids living with me for 2 years. She would disappear. I reported her missing and the Phx police looked up the license plate readers. She was driving everywhere. She'd do gig work, resell, donate plasma, and then do favors for people who had connections to get blues. She rented cars, her venmo was always having issues, scams, losing her wallet, etc. She was regularly at gas stations and ERs all over the region. Her life continued to spiral downward. She was just like guy from 2017-2021. Eventually it all collapsed. It's sad.
Oh my gosh, that's so terrible about your sister. If Justin's problem is drugs, that would explain a lot. Partway through the episode I was convinced he has ADHD, but now that we've gotten to spray painting the car...I am just in shock. Whatever is going on here must be either substance- or psychiatric-related. And he makes every single answer to every single question a convoluted impossible rabbit hole. I'm seriously mystified by virtually everything about his life.
He seems to take the easy way out not realizing how hard he’s making it. Between the car rental and hotel rooms, he’s spending almost double my mortgage TO LIVE IN A CAR! 😮
@@lueker31 I love driving. I go on weekend drives in the country frequently. I also do DoorDash part time for supplemental income. Even considering I maybe drive 20k miles a year. I can’t imagine driving 5x that…
If we all took a tiny sip of watered down beer every time this guy told a lie in just the first 15 minutes of this audit Caleb's entire audience would die from alcohol poisoning and Caleb would be starting over building a fan base.
@@adamseidel9780 He knows the truth. I watched carefully for any legit signs of mental illness and saw none other than some anxiety over the life he has created for himself. He knows he's lying about this stuff
Amazon sucks donkey that's why! Ask questions rather than critique. I started selling online In 2004- it grew to over 100k in sales in 2008 ..then between 2011-14 I was doing $200-$250k with a peak of $300k in 2013. My inventory came from goodwills , yard sales , thrift stores , pawn shops etc.. Mainly video games and dvds .. In 2014 amazon restricted dvds ..which accounted for like $50k in revenues
I still sell on ebay.. but inventory is scarce to find in volume quantity as before.. I stepped away from Amazon in 2015.. From 2014-18I was a regional manager for a marketing company.. I got laid off in 2018.. and since then I've been doing gig work.
$300k gross as a reseller. His net profit was likely less than 83k. He would have to be buying and reselling stuff at something like a 40% markup on everything to make 83k after Amazon's cut. There's a reason he said gross and not net. He probably made 30 to 50k with highly inconsistent months, and that's why his girlfriend at the time was pushing him to get a job.
This is obviously a very harrowing situation but when he pulls out his second phone had me ROLLING... perfect comedic timing from caleb and the guest it was hilarious
It was interesting how Caleb kept saying that he didn't trust what the guest was saying. Caleb has an AMAZING talent for being compassionate, but also uncomfortably honest, and on top of it somehow maintaining focus no matter what random insane curve balls the guests serve up.@@michaelpidoto3521
Brother you can do it! You can fix your situation! It took courage to go on his show. You are not alone. You are not the only person who never got taught about money as a child. I agree with Caleb, you have to believe in You! It like your scared of failure. When you already know what the bottom feels like. All you have to do is Stand Up. Your bullying yourself. I applaud you for going on the show. I hope you come back for an update! Get the mental help. Procrastination is a form of Self harm. You keep putting things off, there is no time like the now. Much Respect
Caleb’s last words resonated with me. Thank you for having such a big heart. Thank yo the guest for having the courage to come on, I can tell that you picked up a lot of what Caleb was saying. Best luck to you, you’re children need their father in their lives and somewhere stable they can run to
@@23kurtzythis. Plus he’s got kids in their late teens he’s clearly neglecting. And we all know that he’s never taking any responsibility/accountability/advice.
I’ve been through a bankruptcy and am now 1.5 years later in a much better spot! Long story but I would love to share it! Hoping Caleb sees the form I filled out because I’d love to share!
I agree as well! Bankruptcy is relief. I’m so happy I did it. I was drowning in debt and was stressed out everyday. It’s not the worst thing ever like some people think. My credit is already much better. I got to keep my house and equity. I paid $1200 to file. It was the best decision ever.
I thought it would be a fun idea to take a shot every time Caleb says “taquitos” and I ended up blacking out and having to come back to finish the episode 😅
After expenses he is losing money renting a car and using it for DoorDash. After expenses he is barely making anything drop shipping. He is working 30 hours a week and has zero to show for it because he doesn’t understand gross vs net income for his businesses.
Did a little research and $2000 in a week is about the best you could do at DoorDash and that is 50 hours a week, or about 120 orders or 1000 miles. Say 40 gallons at $5 a gallon. $200 plus $500 for the rental. $1300 for 50 hours of work. $26 an hour. That’s the ceiling. No benefits. No promotion chance. Nothing in the resume. No sick days or vacation time. An average week might be more like $1500 a week. And a bad week might be well under $1000. Then, he is making minimum wage. And of course it doesn’t include the extra expenses incurred by eating on the road
He could very easily have something big in his background like a felony or bankruptcy or child support or a lien. The fact that he just does delivery apps and rents cars and lives in hotels and dropships tells me he is either monumentally stupid or doesn’t want someone to find him. Can’t figure out which.
Serious mental health issues. I’ve heard many homeless men explain this “always moving” lifestyle before, only they’re in dire straits. I don’t know if this is called something, but it obviously is some sort of coping mechanism for trauma imho. If this guy doesn’t get in therapy and commit to doing the hard inner work, I really fear for his future.
I feel for this guy. Poor dude. Once you hit that moment of feeling defeated, it can take a lot to get out of it. This is a great first step. Wish him luck
I really hope Justin gets the help he needs and is able to turn things around. And I'm glad Caleb told us about the private discord they get to actually have accountability and a community of people like themselves, all working to better their situations.
So he was grossing $300k a year from a resale business and decided to stop and get a 9-5 because of societal pressure…. Idk if I believe that. If he was making that much he wouldn’t have stopped to do something else’s
After all expenses he probably net like 30k. Selling online incurs many fees, Amazons cut, shipping fees, returns. Also the cost of the product to begin with.
U can be a clutz and be broke making half a million a year barely living paycheck to paycheck even as a millionaire. The man has mental issues and a gambling problem 60-90k is nothing if u have those issues.
Caleb, can you mix it up and start including people that aren’t doing so terribly? it would be motivating to see all types of people. it would be awesome to see someone who has been in a bad situation that has recently turn their life around! (and not just bc they were going to be on the show).
Damn, this one spoke to me differently. I am really, really rooting for this guy. He seemed like a guine person who can take responsibilty for his mistakes and cares deeply about his kids. I really like the truck driver suggestion that others have commented. I used to work with people with mental disabilities and could definitely see some similarity here. I am no expert and I am not trying to offend, but I do think he should get with a specialist and check himself out. There were definitely signs for me of some form of mental issue- his inability to get on the phone and have uncomfortable conversations is one of them. Im glad Caleb was recommending that. I hope he turns it around. I believe in him.
This is an awesome thing. Caleb is helping more than his audit customers. I hear his voice when I want a thing but don’t need that thing. So don’t get that thing. Until I have all my financial ducks in a row.
I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was looking for a no as part of a mental breakdown after losing the relationship... and downward spiraled woe is me mentality. Just signing off the house to her and her boyfriend comment he made makes me think he was cutting himself more than people were cutting him.
I think he is an addict or bipolar-or both. So many excuses, can't manage money, makes terrible life choices. Bouncing around from town to town, seeking relief then accidents, bad uncles, the milkshake place validates parking, omg. Therapy stat!
Or he’s lying about his income. He hasn’t done his taxes in a few years so has no idea what his income is. I wouldn’t be surprised after deducting hotel. Car rental, etc that his business income is negative.
I love how he gives the excuse spending time with his two kids, but then admits that he travels constantly away from Arizona to California, Nevada, etc.
I’m very grateful for my stove, oven and fridge after hearing all those checking account charges for fast food. I have no idea how you’d meal-prep living out of a rental car
he actually said he wanted to end it early because HE was feeling overwhelmed but didn’t want to give up on the guest. I couldn’t have finished it, i can’t even finish watching it!
40:55 The moment he pulls out his second phone and Caleb reacts may be the most I’ve laughed all year. I was rolling off the couch onto the floor and out the door with laughter! He does not need two phones.
Gotta love how in the first 2 minutes this guy is dropping terms like "logistics" and "Q4" like he's some kind of financial guru millionaire on Shark Tank. These types of guys do not have the patience, discipline, or wherewithal to fully educate themselves on what their business venture is going to be, before actually starting it. They watch a few videos on RUclips and then think they can "make easy money" in a few months and never have to work again. If these types of slobs actually want to get out of debt and have a steady flow of income they should be primarily working regular Mon-Fri, 9-5 type jobs with benefits - then on the weekends they can waste their time and money with their little "business ventures" and whatever else nonsense they want.
Too many people want to be business owners just so they can say they’re business owners. They have no clue on how to actually run a business. Until one can support themselves and their family with their business income, it’s just a hobby/ side hustle. Work a regular job, grow your business slowly and steadily and you might just make it one day. It doesn’t happen overnight.
Well doing the online selling seems to be working out extremely well and consistent for him. He just doesn’t know how to manage his money and has severe untreated fear/depression
@dca3092 I grew my business over 10 years .. this coming August will make 20 years. I understand the fundamentals of running a business..that's the the issue. And has never been the issue..
TY Caleb! I’ve been seriously budgeting for 3 months and have paid off 8k in debt and sold my motorcycle! Should be completely debt free (except mortgage) mid 2024. ❤

This episode is giving me anxiety too Caleb! This guy has got to talk to someone stat.
Thank god you are seeing a therapist, Caleb. Otherwise no way this would be sustainable.
Can we get some normal people at some point like i need someone I can relate to
Truck driving would be a dream job for this dude!
Boosting this comment I hope he sees it I thought the exact thing. I even knew someone who lived in their truck too
A wonderful idea
Yes!
I had this exact same thought!
Caleb: why don't you have a home?
This dude: 8 years ago my girlfriend suggested I get a steady job.
Lol!

This dude was literally MADE for Long range truck driving
He said he didn't like to be in the car all the time
I'm not even seven minutes in, and between "being in logistics", "the female", "the girl", somehow deciding that an $83K job was a good enough reason to drop your $300K job because it "wasn't a real job", and "transferring a house to your girlfriend's mom", this dude is absolutely whack. You should take all of the "facts" he's stating and ask him to briefly summarize them at the end, I guarantee you they all change because they're embellished and/or completely untrue.
he said 300k gross which could be like 30k net. its all lies
@username2561 the female killed meeeeeeeee.

Yeah. That was gross revenue we don’t know his profit. If he was really rolling in that much cash no way the ex is telling him to get a job.
and the way he blamed "the female" for his bad decisions... immediately i was like... ok, this guy is a master at spinning things to make himself good
This man needs to get his CDL, no isue with driving 9k miles a month plus a high salary. Plus the truck gives him a place to live
That could be a good option
Yes I thought this too!
That’s what I was thinking too. It sounds like he’s perfect for it.
This is actually genius. I hope he sees this comment. That would be perfect for him.
i feel like he’d make some excuse about not wanting to be away from his kids (even though they dont live w him).

JUST DONT get into one of those lease programs where they try to get to pass their expenses off to the drivers. It could potentially put him further into the hole, especially since he didn’t file taxes for 2 years
Too dumb
He seems to have issues with time management, which makes him perfect to be a swift driver.
I just find it so crazy that so many people think they can just NOT file/pay their taxes. It’s like every single guest at this point.
Yeah. TurboTax is so easy to use. Granted I just have w2 a and rent so my taxes aren’t complex. But I mean… TurboTax.

I heard some people will not file/pay after 8 years. Eventually the fear literally will go away until the mail comes in one day and then they’ll panic.
I love how these financial audits have evolved into life coaching
It inevitably does. Financial issues are usually the symptom, not the disease.
I would love it more if Caleb started using coaching methods that are actually evidence based. Does Course Careers do courses in that? 😂
Bc life coaching is the root of many of this with financial issues being a piece
The whole channel should be rebadged “Mental Health and how it affects our financial state”
Ya, Caleb deals with way more issues than he should with these people. These people need counseling first, then financial services. What a show, though!

@@jddyea5527get help
I’ll start with Caleb’s list:
1.) Return the car and get an AirBnB
2.) Get a job.
My list of additional notes:
1.) Getting organized is such a good feeling even when you feel so far behind.
"I found myself going to the casino" 🤣 such passive language, like his life is just happening to him.

So what?
My boy used to work there.... They have rules in place that make it harder to do that but yea, some people still manage to do it
Use to work there and I'll say depending on who your management is, it's very easy to play that system. Very easy to get things cheap and buy things before the customer sees them. Also most of the time those pricing have no idea what the value is of the thing they are looking at. There are blanket prices used for things so very easy to get expensive things for cheap even without playing the system.

Bro, I teared up when you were talking about his value as a person. People need to hear that. Respect

He is single handedly keeping afterpay in business holy shit I’ve never seen so many after pays in my life
Neither has poor Caleb. I thought he was gonna have a stroke and die saying that so many times
It can be really hard to tell with some addicts; they are sometimes shockingly good at hiding their drug use. @@stuff1784

He seems to take the easy way out not realizing how hard he’s making it. Between the car rental and hotel rooms, he’s spending almost double my mortgage TO LIVE IN A CAR! 😮
So the rental was a last ditch effort when my Mazda broke ..
I was trying to justify it due to all the mileage I do ..

If we all took a tiny sip of watered down beer every time this guy told a lie in just the first 15 minutes of this audit Caleb's entire audience would die from alcohol poisoning and Caleb would be starting over building a fan base.

He is full of so much bs. Left a 300k company he owned to get a 82k job. Decided to gig instead of doing Amazon again which he loved doing
I’m thinking that $300k job was something illegal.
300k company is 300k revenue and I’m guessing 50k profit.
This is obviously a very harrowing situation but when he pulls out his second phone had me ROLLING... perfect comedic timing from caleb and the guest it was hilarious
Can someone timestamp this please?? 😂

Wow!! He gave his condo to his ex and her new boyfriend?!
Unbelievable! Sorry, but I would have lost it with him. Caleb handled listening to this much better than I would.

Any reason this guy shouldn’t go the bankruptcy route? His credit is already rock bottom and he has no house or assets. Seems to make sense to me.
I agree as well! Bankruptcy is relief. I’m so happy I did it. I was drowning in debt and was stressed out everyday. It’s not the worst thing ever like some people think. My credit is already much better. I got to keep my house and equity. I paid $1200 to file. It was the best decision ever.

take a SIP every time he says taquitos and you'll still black out
The math has never not math'd like this before. Not everybody has to spill every secret about their life on the show but SOMETHING else is up here.
Bro is lying through his teeth making up excuses and omitting facts. No way he couldnt get approved for a rental.
Yup
I agree. Dude is a liar, whether to protect himself, or to justify his behaviors.
@@NawaltaI mean at the end he says "I don't trust you" so I think he just has given up.
Maybe he's got something in his background check that would be an issue?
I think we're overdue on having someone doing things right. Even if its not everything right.
Sounds boring. 😂
I’ve been doing things right and I’ve been really trying to get onto the show to show that getting out of debt is possible.
Yeah this is sketch af
After all expenses he probably net like 30k. Selling online incurs many fees, Amazons cut, shipping fees, returns. Also the cost of the product to begin with.
Lying. He never made anything he claims
Gross means nothing
300k sales. He made like 30-50k. You got to understand loser speak and translate it.
Caleb is astonishingly a good dude for what he does.
Am I the only one who thinks he’s lying about his income?
Nope!
Caleb needs to do better background checks on these people instead of taking their word for it
He doesn’t seem psychologically right
@@jackb616 The longer you go in this one the more apparent it is that he has some major learning disabilities.
U can be a clutz and be broke making half a million a year barely living paycheck to paycheck even as a millionaire. The man has mental issues and a gambling problem 60-90k is nothing if u have those issues.

This episode was stress inducing. You did a fantastic job handling that Caleb. Mad respect my dude.
There's only two reasons someone with enough income doesn't have a place to live: drug addiction / lifestyle or can't pass a background check. IMO
Was looking for this comment, first thing that came to my mind . He could have just gotten an rv if he likes the on the go lifestyle.
I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was looking for a no as part of a mental breakdown after losing the relationship... and downward spiraled woe is me mentality. Just signing off the house to her and her boyfriend comment he made makes me think he was cutting himself more than people were cutting him.
Yeh he sells drugs
Omg gosh I love how Caleb is just so expressional and passive in giving advice. His expressions sometime 😀🥰
I’m very grateful for my stove, oven and fridge after hearing all those checking account charges for fast food. I have no idea how you’d meal-prep living out of a rental car

I appreciate this guy coming on. I still appreciate the videos. I am suppressing my hatred for resellers. Keep on keeping on Caleb!
