Mira / the Queen of Hearts was for me one of THE strongest onscreen presence I have ever seen on TV. She was mesmerizing and stole each scene
Is Alice the only Tv show that u watched?
@@vis106_don't act pathetic
You fell for the bait! Was waiting for it, I love when reactors start thinking what she said was true before she tells its a joke and they get all shocked after it. 🤣
He definitely got taken in, while saying he had predicted it as well. :D
But they recognise the great ending, people who don't and wanted it more predictable are just hurt they got surprised.
That why I love her! XD She such a savage b itch XD playing with them.
Not just once or twice, for all the bait😅
So far this is the only anime/manga Live Action adaptation that has not just done justice to the original but managed to elevated it imo
there are others such as Rurouni Kenshin, Blade of the Immortal, Inuyashiki.
Since the game difficulty was indicated by the card, the joker at the end is symbolic in the sense that life is the hardest game.
I thought that they left an open ending for a potential S03 but I like your interpretation so much more.❤
I didn’t read the manga, but i saw that in the manga the joker was kinda a good in the borderlands, him that create the whole area to give the people another chance to survive. So I think they put in the end him as easter egg.
@@0cidd0they will create a different story for season 3
What I think the laser falling from the sky means is like a patient dies connected in a heart monitor, there's a straight horizontal line
Never have thought like that before. That's brilliant.
In card games, the joker can be used to fight all kinds of cards. So I think that's life, which has all the challenges from each of those cards
Yep, The most difficult challenge is in life itself
I interpreted the Joker being “The game of life we all play together” as quoted by Mira.
Nah, joker is like a game master that roles the borderlands, but they cut this part from ending. Maybe to make a season 3 based on the spin off and link with the joker
I've never seen Mel get so antsy over getting to the truth. Steph pausing probably tilted her big time LOOOL
One of the greatest season 2 to a show i've ever seeb
If you go back to the very first episode you do see Usagi there, she's just blurred.
My favorite thing about the revelation of where they were is that it puts into perspective what the king of spades was doing. He pushed people to the other side because that's what he felt was best for everone who ends up there, plus I hear he buried every person he killed in the mange. So he wasn't malicious, he probably saw himself as a peaceful end to a tragic story
I liked the acting, it was a high profile cast who really added to the big character roles.
The script slowed up at some points: 1x7, 2x1, 2x7. Maybe we could have had a bit more on Ann and Kuina in the second season.
I'm happy this ambitious premise got a live action remake. The high points were very high and it delivered at the end.
Related to the 3 ''realities'' that Mira gives to Alice and Usagi, I agree that the author perhaps did it as a mockery of those cliches that we have seen so much in series and movies
The game master is never showed in the netflix series, but it’s basically a god of death which gives people who died the opportunity to get a second chance
I think a fundamentally deeper meaning of the entire show is that the borderlands represent life itself. Arisu is constantly asked the question: Why is he trying to survive? This is one of life's biggest mysteries but we ask it in another way - what is the purpose of life? Even though everything that happened was actually real, it was a giant metaphor for life itself. As Mira says at the end, life is a big game and we all play together. The borderlands were cruel, they tested people physically (spade), mentally/intellectually (diamond), cooperatively (club), and emotionally (heart), in the same way that life does to all of us with each of it's challenges. That's why in the end, the final game, or the real game, is life itself, which is represented by the Joker, which can be interchanged for any of the other face cards, because life brings all of those challenges. And we have to struggle with the reason for why we bother facing those challenges - is it just to survive (Usagi), is it to live for one's self (Chisayu), or is it to live for others (Arisu).
No matter the reason, the only thing is certain: we're all forced to play the game of life, because if we don't, our time will expire just like the visas did.
Season 3 has been officially confirmed by netflix so hopefully this year we get to watch it.
The fact that I fell for each of Mira’s lies 😅😂 she’s too good at playing with people’s psychology. Also yes, the whole borderland was the limbo in which all these souls played to keep living, their bodies in real life were into a coma state. So those who gave up in the borderland died in the real life too.
The red laser coming down from the sky was essentially them flatlining back in the "real world." The Visa thing was mostly just to signify them fighting to stay alive. I thought them surviving the most insane damage during their fight with the spades made this moronic. Then when you actually learn the truth it makes sense. The damage they took in here basically already happened, it just wasn't bullet holes and stab wounds.
only the people who made it to the choice at the end actually survived the blast at all. Thats why they were alive after bveing stabbed multiple times, being shot in the chest with a rifle, etc. They were not dead in real life. The flatlining thing is a theory, but in the manga there are legitimate laser guns that shoot at them from the blimps, not from the sky.
My man is so competitive, he didn’t leave any thoughts for his wife that he hasn’t already thought of. 😂 my man wants to be the smartest in the room. 😂
Nah, he just wants to shoot everybody.
😭😭bro swear he predicted everything
one of the best shows ever made when it comes to writing
I've watched this show several times now, and it's only now occurring to me that when the woman in the RV said it wasn't fireworks, that's a quiet hint for much later on: Something is still off in Mira's scenario where Karube and Chota are hit by a car, because that scenario's explosions in the sky are still unmistakably fireworks.
Great reactions! I thoroughly enjoyed the show when I watched it, and to repeat the experience by your side was completely worthwhile.
The joker might represent the game of life. They all get to play the game of life together, as mira said.
Read the manga
Spoiler is in the original title if you literally translate the kanji meaning. 今際の国のアリス (Imawa no kuni no Arisu). The "今際" can also mean "brink of death" or "one's last moments". "国" can mean country/nation/land. So "Arisu in the land of the almost dead." 😉
Yes. ❤❤❤
I waited so long for you guys to finally see what's going on.. the philosophy and the story was amazing 😍 Alice is borderland is great 💯
The Joker card is just a reference to the manga and the Joker character in it, who is essentially the ferryman between the living world and the borderland. The character only appears a few times, the last time talking with Arisu after he clears the last game, instead of the bar scene to talk to Arisu about how he percieves the Joker to be for facilitating the games.
If you guys are interested, there's a manga sequel called Alice in Borderland Retry as well as a spinoff called Alice on Border Road which focuses on a different protagonist as well.
Love the whole alive in borderland reactions 🫶🏻🫶🏻really gonna miss them.
And the glory is 100% recommended it’s a really good Kdrama!
The did left some major info from the manga after the games. Since Arisu did talk with the last card on a pocket dimension
in the manga joker is death who is the master of borderland
Going to miss the Alice in the Borderland reaction but I hope you guys check out the glory very different show from what you guys reacted to.
Guys i love your reactions.Love your chemistry definitely deserve each other ❤.I have been wondering about your etinicty a lot cant get thst off my head, I'm Dominican so were pretty mixed up here and you guys look just liket that . Would love to know .thank you again ❤
here are theories ive heard about the joker.
1. "The trickster card may also suggest the games are not actually over and the players are still connected to Borderland."
2. "The joker card was explained by the Queen of Hearts lady. She said life is like a game. The joker card simply means that life IS their final game. And when they die in it, they will die for real. In life, rules are simple, you just have to get to the next day. It's also the hardest game to play, which is why it's the last card "
(i believe the 2nd one more.)
the creator/mangaka of alice in boderland is haro aso, and Zom 100: Bucket List of dead,
and in the manga ending, joker is the one who give them the choices
Mira's manipulation skills is what Im dreaming to perfect. Her manipulation skills is so high that she almost succeeded in making arisu quit the game. She knows that people with weak willpower, heart, and mind will be easy to manipulate. Regarding the joker card in the manga it's supposed to be the ferry man or grim ripper, who just guides the souls to the afterlife, thats just what I read after this last episode got released since a lot of viewers didnt know what the joker symbolizes. I didnt read the manga so Im not 100% sure it thats really what the joker symbolize
She almost got Arisu at the end, but lucky our women save his butt XD Whew...
You're dreaming to perfect the ability to manipulate others? Thats pretty sad.
@@k-fedd nahhh I just use manipulation to entertain myself 🤣🤣🤣
@@bogart403 Nahhh doesn't work here because both my and your statement can be true. Manipulation can almost exclusively be used on others.
some say that the joker card represents the game of life
Cant wait for Season 3 so anxious!
They are indeed making a season 3! Been confirmed 🙌
damn bro a professional yapper lmao
To answer your question, the author is Haro Aso who is the same that created Zom 100
this Reaction made my day
I just realized that Arisu's name is Alice. It's just pronounced like Arisu. Alisu...Arisu 🤯
Theres a parallelism with Episode 1 season 1 and the ending of episode 8 you will spot characters in episode 1 that appeared thruout the series
@struckbybelz , did you know that Arisu(Kento Yamazaki) is the Main MC in the live action of KINGDOM?
Waiting for one piece ep 1070 reaction 😢
my theory is that the meaning behind the joker card is that "life is a joke" basically telling us them living in the real world is the last game
When this ends you feel satisfied
I was really pleasantly surprised that said satisfying end came from a Netflix show, of all places. The number of times I've gotten invested in a Netflix Original, only to have it unceremoniously axed after just a season or two... Usually on a massive cliffhanger too, with half a dozen major plot threads still completely unaddressed.
@@aepigeons9375 same bro it sucks when Netflix does stuff like that they always cancel good shows
Love Mira and Joker, did a good reaction at the end of the season! U w U
when one piece ep 1070 ?
The Glory? Hell yeah!!
17:52 THE SIDEEE EYEEE GIRLLLL I CAN'T 😂😂😂💅
It's obvious if people would think about Moon Knight when seeing this episode. But i like when you remember Echidna from Re Zero by seeing this, cause they really have similiar concept.
Both Alice and Subaru feel suffer grief, trauma, scare, lost, and they actually need help. And then Mira and Echidna have the same role, to manipulate, deceive, and control them.
The only reason if people don't recognize this with Re Zero is either they don't watch Re Zero, or they watched but they don't really understand Re Zero S2 and what Echidna was trying to do
And Usagi have the same role as Satella😂
Brother, it might be time to read some classical literature before getting too clever with the connections. They are both obviously in homage to the original queen of hearts and thats why they are similar.
There most likely won’t be a season 3 since the manga ends at the joker card.
one of the best shows man
yo awesome
also I wish I coulda seen your seven deadly sins reaction but didn't you already watch it before doing reaction videos or something because I can't seem to find any (only the Grand Cross vids)
The original ending appears Caronte, he says I am neither god nor the devil, I only take souls to be judged, the joker represents life, life is psychology, friendship, competing, working as a team and being strong, the card is the symbolism of life, the hardest game we are all playing.
yessss put the glory on youtube
dude is so confused that he called his wife 'bro' haha
10:31 I never laughed so hard 😂 HAHAHA YOUR SO INTO THE MARIX AND GOT REALLY FOOLED BY QUEEN OF HEARTS HAHAHAHAHA dont worry all of us was Clowned by Mira 😭🤣--and ur girlfriend is funny cause she's laughing at you that you think you predicted everything hahaahaha
there will be no season 3, that was all of the source material adapted. The Joker is the ferryman of death, a grim reaper if you will. he put all the victims through the game for fairness in death. this is explained in the manga right at the end, shame they didnt make it clear in the live action
There's a bit of extra source material, but in my amateur opinion, not enough for a full season. If they do go for a season three, I hope we don't end up with a Hobbit scenario, where it was pretty clear that there wasn't enough source material for another Lord of the Rings-length trilogy but they still went ahead with it.
There’s a third season: JOKER 🃏🔥💀😭✨
Yooooo! Its me Nick
Techinically thres 2 storyline to be done for Season 3 wither they go with Arisu going back to bordeland or the story of a new Arisu thats a girl with new characters
10:23 🤣🤣🤣

The joker is that second chance they have to live
YEAA BOIIIIIIII 🎉
Borderland is literally a border - between life and death. Some call it Limbo, some Purgatory.
Joker card means it's a portal to borderland(Purgatory) to real world.. Meteor crash and they all in Purgatory fighting for Life is real.
steph thinks he can know the truth before seeing the episode bro sometimes you have to be patient and watch the whole episode to understand come bro hahaah
Season 3 will come
Where is one piece?
waiting for reaction to one piece 1070🙂
One piece pleaseeeeee 😢 upload
🔥🔥
Hi waiting for reaction of one piece 💗💗💗💗
Nijiro as chishiya is life ❤️❤️
GOAT of Borderland
It took them 4 months to finish the series but took me 4 seconds to finish it 😭
Have you never watched Alice in Wonderland?
Btw season 3 has been anounced
show was based on a manga if you two didnt know
WHERE OP 1070??!?!!?!?!
The manga has a spin-off and sequel in which Arisu returns to Borderland, leaving Usagi pregnant in the real world. The spin-off is about a high school girl who goes to Borderland and she is the main character. The third season may feature either spin-offs or sequel. I'm curious. Maybe the creators will surprise me and go in a completely different direction and no longer draw from the manga. Maybe the joker will be the big final game. I personally would prefer this.
One thing I never understood is, why did the players play the King Of Hearts Game BEFORE the Queen of Hearts Game? I know it’s supposed to signify the Queen of Hearts villain from the Alice of Wonderland story but narrative wise you would imagine them players would partake in a Queen Game before the King game since King ranks higher than Queen. Or did I miss something and all the Face Cards have an equal level of difficulty?
One possible reason is that she simply could not have been found, very much like a final boss. Maybe the Queen of Hearts only revealed herself/game location after the other citizens have lost.
I had a theory that the building that led up to her would be closed or unable to get into until you beat the other "bosses"
its all narrative/thematic choice. queen of hearts is the big bad of alice in wonderland. and king of hearts being higher than queen of hearts doesn't necessarily mean king should be the last boss, we only need one hearts game for the finale
level of difficulty is also irrelevant in their world since you can join any game you wish to join. you can evade a game like they did with spades at ep1 which led us to king of clubs game
Wattta journey 😊😊😊
This is how the manga ends. FIY.
There is the mini sequel which takes place years later
@@starkillahx Yea Arisu got injured again or something like that. Im really interested in the games they didn't show. Chisiya's first day in the borderlands blackjack game was probably the best in the series.
I was hoping dude in the white hat went to the boarderland -_-
