now that s3 is confirmed and the joker face was a big part of the advertisement, i hope that it actually does follow the speculation theory that everyone in the hospital still in the borderlands and playing one last long game of the joker card. maybe the hospital is still not the real world but rather a fictional one created to set the players into a delusion that it is all over when it actually isn't. they have one round to play and it will be the hardest to get out of because the joker messes with their minds -- like the queen of hearts on steroids making them doubt their own reality. i honestly hope that's what they do.
the real twist is gonna be when they make the Rules Card a character

Id be happy ether way. It had such a good ending with just enough left unexplained to leave you talking. But its final enough that it can end here.
Legit how I describe it it’s one of the few endings ide describe as perfect , cause for those who want it to end it’s a solid ending and wraps up the main plot. But for people like me who want the story to continue there’s so much mystery with just that one card showing at the end, I feel it’s gonna be a hallucination, they think there back in reality but are being tricked playing the jokers card also known as a trickster .
I really hope there is another season, whether or not they follow the retry manga. Netflix could make their own version in season 3 just like they’re doing for sweet home. Or they could follow the retry manga.

When starting to watch this show, netflix had already confirmed a third season so the ending of season 2 shocked me and i didn't see how it could move on. This video is very useful to see the route the manga took to have an idea of what might happen next. I think that Arisu going back to the bordelands years later is an interesting and realistic opportunity, but at the same time extremely popular characters like Kuina and Chisiya wouldn't be in the third season, which is something that I don't see netflix doing as the ending so clearly shows that all the major characters made it out alive and that their stories were real. I think them getting in an accident together again would be ridiculous, but I have the feeling that netflix would turn the story in a way that all the major characters partake in it and I think that netflix having the joker as a sort of last level is quite possible.

You're not wrong... it seems all the theories atleast ones I've seen dismiss this, but when last did you buy a deck, last I saw there are 2 jokers 1 Red 1 Black and season 2 ends with only 2 players deciding to become citizens so I'm sure you can put 2 and 2 together (no pun intended)

…so, a Live-Action Show based on a Manga? Didn’t know that was a thing.
whatever they decide to make, I hope they will cut the bs in the first few episodes as we all know they are in borderland. Same as in every horror movie it takes the family 70 minutes of screen time to realise, that their house is haunted and in the last 10 minutes everyone dies. I love the idea, I travel to some real dark places similar to the ones in the series in my dreams. I'd love to see more of that than "oh hell, everybody is gone, what should we do??" for 4 episodes straight :) I absolutely love the series and hope there will be more
Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not but Alice on border road deserves a live action or at least an OVA

In season 2 we have citizens so I think in season 3 we will meet the president/king of the boorderlands. My theory is that the meteorite is a lie and it is an illusion made by the joker to trapped the characters because The best way to lock up a person is to make them believe that they are not trapped. But the protagonist realizes it and tries to escape meeting the president/king of the Borderlands: the Joker.

What if season three is the side stories from the manga or a game like an escape room like called find the memories same setup like the first game in season one
You say luckily it dosnt show it’s a trick like that would y be the better ending 💀 ide love it if they made it where there in reality but it’s a trick for the final card, the joker is legit a trickster like why is that idea not exciting to you 😢 season 3 could dive into there personal lives and have the main characters fall into some kind of despair and crave to return to the borderlands to become master of face cards, then end the show, make it a never ending cycle of people taking over the face cards, preferably with an explination for the borderlands since in my theory it’s not really limbo. I mean the king of spades didn’t require any registration so why should the joker card?
