Hey, I’m just putting this out there because the creator has said it themself: the story is not yet finished, and probably won’t be until near October-December. This project was discovered VERY early, and a lot of the story has yet to even be made. They’ve asked their followers not to send them any theory videos for fear that they might accidentally pull from it. So please don’t send Clown this video over social media, even if you mean well!!
I for some reason can't see Wally as the true antagonist. I think he is lonely like you said, and I also think he's so self aware and possibly scared that he's acting antagonistic. He might turn out to be a Morally grey character tbh.
Wally being lonely might be more complex than Wally just being the only one existing. “Home”, Wally’s living house and the ninth neighbor also exists with Wally but can’t speak like Wally does. “Home” speaks in onomatopoeias, and is heard in an audio of Wally singing to home. Wally’s ask a question to “Home”, “Home” answers in banding noises, and Wally seems disappointed in the response saying, “ that’s good, I think.” He might be frustrated or saddened that he can’t have a proper friendship with “Home”, or anyone.

The author of the project had a work where in one image (judging by the shoes) Julie is standing on something made of wood, it is dark below, and in the second image something luminous, similar to a mirror in a frame or a photograph, lies below among the trees. Something else to note is in the message about Eddie, Wally said that he literally told him *and* got a response! So perhaps it's not so much that he's alone as much as maybe he simply wants something more or something else of the sort is wrong. He does acknowledge that he is a puppet after all, so it's very possible the others don't
Personally I feel, and strongly hope, that Wally is NOT the villain. The House maybe, but not Wally. That Wally is alive, he is trapped, and he is trying to protect visitors, and save his friends, makes the most sense to me. Perhaps escape... Yet, I also get the impression Wally has maybe been alone for quite some time, leaving the question of how intact his sanity is. Still, I do feel he is trying to save everyone. I get the strong sense of someone trying to get back his friends, and the neighborhood, that he loves and using the restoration team to do this, using even us. Even if it hurts. That he wants his friends back, he wants to be free. Yet he is scared, perhaps even desperate. I feel empathy for what is a fictional character of an ARG puppet horror project.
Idk he was dressed as Satan in the Halloween picture… And he’s been seen doing the baphomet pose. I think Wally’s a demon of some kind pulling strings to make his perfect neighborhood
This is the route I'm really hoping it ends up going, although I won't be disappointed if it doesn't. Everything at the moment seems to suggest Wally isn't the Big Bad of this situation, or at least, he's not evil so to speak, more that he's scared and alone, but wants desperately to help his friends in any way he can.
I kind of half want to believe Wally was once a real living child who came from an abusive or neglectful background while "Home" is either some kind of paranormal entity who drew him there and is keeping him trapped or is some kind of manifestation caused by Wally's own loneliness. This could very well explain why Wally is the only one aware....he is a good spirit trying to communicate with the real world, oblivious that there is also an evil presence
I don’t think Wally is the antagonist. He was kneeling in front of house and in one of the secret pages he seems to be discouraging us from letting someone know that we know about them. I do think he’s lonely because he’s the only one aware, but the question is aware of what? Is he alive in the show or is he somehow alive in the restoration project?
He's discouraging us from letting anyone know about what we have seen likely because he's behind it all, not because he's afraid? To me that seems pretty obvious. Wally does seem to be the only one who is self aware indeed and he doesn't want us to find out the truth. He's staring at us in a creepy way multiple times and he's peeking out of Home. On the secret word link where he tells us to keep quiet we likely broke into Home itself, hence the darkness, and that's why he acknowledges our presence but points us he can't see us. He likely became sentient at some point in the show, maybe due to magic and the influence of the Eldritch entity under Home, Wally's house, where he could worship it. His contact with this entity is likely what corrupted the show and it started possessing the viewers as well, which is why it got cancelled. All of this is just a theory.
in all honesty, i feel as if it’s the home’s doing that’s making him lonely, the whole neighborhood seems cultish to me. honestly game theory’s video on it explains it really well
Oh! I feel like you’re the first person to point out how Wally is lonely. A lot of the theories I notice atm are of Wally being trapped by Home but you’re the first to point out that Wally may be the only person left.

I'm so glad you covered welcome home, this arg has began gaining a lot of attraction. it's also the fact that its newly discovered territory unlike many of older args/websites that ended by now. So the Hype is absolutely real.

What if, during the shows run, Wally was the only one to gain sentience and feels deep loneliness and dread knowing all his friends are husks controlled by others, and his whole world is a lie. Wally is trying to find a real friend, and he has his sights on you. I dunno, I'm just interested to see where this goes. :p
Yeah. Like the reason he has his sights on you is because he knows the real world exists out of his own plane of existence, and he wants a friend from there. He wants someone real. In the least insane and possessive way possible, he wants a REAL. Friend.

Theres something interesting about the name Wally. In 70s slang (since the show obviously takes place in the 70s), it means two things 1. A man suspected to be gay (Again, aligning with the Queer Themes of Welcome Home) 2. A vulnerable, foolish person. Add to that being Wally specifically *kneeling* in front of Home's eye, and a theme of the arg being confirmed to be about whether or not "a Home can Love You", I really don't agree that Wally is the main bad guy here. Potentially an antagonist, yed! But not the puppet master
Well I seen someone say that they have the theory that Wally and Home are simbolic of an abusiv realetionship. Whuch seems plasable for me. That home is the abuser, and Wally is the victom. Especially if we look at the secon point. Abusers usually target vulnerable, and victoms can feel foolish. But looking at the first point I would say that it my still can represent, or simbolise an abusiv realetionship, but not an abusiv realetionship in a romatic realetionship, but rather an abusiv parent child realetionship. Or something simmilar to that. (Sorry if this will be too fanficy, or the "blue curtos" thing). So I can imagin that it could represent a abusiv realetionship between a religous abusiv parent figure (who also could be a priest) (or even a bigger more religius ideal), and a posibly (defently) gay son, and therfore in a vulnerable situation because he wants to meet with his parental figure's expectetions (or with that religious ideal). But they know that they can't meet with those expectetions so they feel foolish for it. Sorry for the bed English it's not my first laungvige.
I have a feeling that “Home” Wally’s house, is Wally’s own prison. Since Wally is self aware. And when you mentioned that alot of the characters are near home, I made a theory that either Wally trapped them there cuz he was lonely. My final theory however is that Wally was prob kneeling to house becayse he was begging to be freed or he was praying for new friends XD
My running theory is that Wally is the one who jump started the restoration process. Something happened (producers and likely scrapping of the show/ink spilling all over the puppets and videos hence the black sludge vortex behind the house) and all the other puppets apart from Wally were destroyed. Wally cannot stop smiling, even he might want to (the drawing of him telling Frank it’s hard for him to smile, while he looks annoyed but still smiling) as all his friends are lost and he is trapped by Home (the creator). He is trying to save his friends (and us) from Home, but he cannot do much more than his drawings and best attempts to resummon his friends
RUclips glitched on me a few times so I couldn’t explain more about my theory. There is a picture of Wally that suggests that Wally MADE Barnaby as the picture says “I made a Dog” with giant Barnaby behind him. Why would he try to kill Barnaby if he made him in the first place and thinks of him as his best friends? He is reading the newspaper with Barnaby’s presumably missing poster and his couch has a scrap of fabric that looks like Barnaby’S furr, and yet I don’t think he did the crime. We also see him Carrying Eddie who appears hurt. In the picture of Julie and the creepy hammer dripping blank inky substance he is a flower, a distraught pansy to be precise. The name of pansy comes from the French word pensée (thought). So since ancient times, this flower was a symbol of remembrance. In August, when pansy begins to decay and wilt, it leans towards the front and resembles a small person who is deeply contemplating his/her life. This may be another explanation of why pansies got the name of ‘thought’. Another pansy meaning is linked to their beautiful and vivid colors and symbolizes nostalgia. When we miss someone very much or we lose a beloved person, pansies express our sadness. Pansy is a symbol of two faithful lovers who are separated either by distance or another reason. So, in the language of flowers, the pansy meaning is a forbidden love. Now, ppl assume he is to blame for these since he is smiling on most of them, but we know Wally cannot not smile and the only way we can sorta discern his emotions (especially since he has no eyebrows) is to only rely on his eyes. There is another picture I want to point to, the disco picture. Behind Wally there are 2 men. Possibly the creators or the puppeteers. Oh! And the way I think the restoration project started is by Wally “carrying” out Eddie(‘s duties) and sending the letters himself, hence why they are covered in ink and paint. He was shoving these in the envelopes, desperate to get his friends back Also I think that WaLLy (last page of guestbook) is actually Home and Wally has been so alone for so long, probably abused (the disco picture) and forced to watch his friends suffer while he cannot comprehend certain things (we can see that he doesn’t know what bees are, how to kiss, etc) so he sometimes goes about his love the wrong way. Oh! And a thing I noticed while creating my oc: all characters have their arms in the air, and everyone but Wally is looking at the hand that is “free”.
Fun fact, if you take the out of place letters and put them in a certain order, it puts you into another page with a bunch of secrets. One of them especially, is a dark room where you can only see Wallys' eyes, and text slowly appears saying, "Hello. You're there. I can't see you. Do you see me? Then stay quiet". It is almost implicating that he is trying to protect us from something, by saying "stay quiet". Like almost from him, or maybe home.
If your grandparents are in their 50s or 60s, they were kids when this show "aired." Ask them what they think. I think they might provide an interesting perspective.
I’m not sure if anyone else knows this but franks gif where he’s blinking is in Morse code- it says D. On top of that his character design heavily implies that he knows Morse code, for that another picture of him and a butterfly spells TNT. I don’t have much proof other than that tho- I also noticed how the cryptic parts of all of this comes in threes. ‘Open open open’ or Wally’s ‘ha ha ha’ laugh- his song sings a certain line 3 times- 3 seems to be important here.

All the characters are puppets, except for one. I don't think Home is ever explicitly stated to be a puppet. I think Wally is the only character who can still directly interact with the world outside the show, but he's not the one in control. Perhaps Wally is the puppet, and Home is the puppet master. The fact that Wally is shown kneeling in front of Home, almost looking like he is worshipping Home, would fit into that idea as well. In that sense, I think Wally can carry out antagonistic actions, but by the will of Home, not by his own. That'd also explain why on that one web page, Wally tells the viewer to stay quiet. Perhaps he is reaching out to you in secret and doesn't want to alert Home.
I wonder if the rules in this ARG tap into the rule of the Epic Mickey games, where the more obscure members of the cast disappear when forgotten? Many anonymous people on the website have reiterated how Wally is (or was) their favourite, so maybe he was memorable enough to continue existing, compared to the rest of the cast? Or perhaps Wally and Home accidentally frightened children growing up (similar to how many were afraid of Big Bird when they were young) and that kind of mental imprint meant those two were never forgotten. It could also explain why the show itself was so short, maybe it was taken off the air because some kids found the puppets unsettling. Or something happened, that meant the show had to be canned. An incident, maybe? Or just a tight budget, who's to say. Of course we're just shooting in the dark with these assumptions. Ecstatic for this series to take off, can't wait to see more!
another thing i want to point out, is that on clowns actual website, under the "about welcome home" tab, there is a picture of wally and a creepy version of barnaby. it says: "look." wally exclaimed "i made a dog"
I viewed it more as Home using Wally to draw in people to the neighborhood and he is aware. Like he's the lure and Home is the trapper. I agree he wants friends and wants to get our attention but I don't think he's what's making neighbors disappear. I think he is what the WHRP needs to let out
I think the most famous theory that fans(including me) have yet to like the most is that Home was behind of everything. Home is a living house. It is alive but it cannot move. Wally loves to visit his neighbors because he loves his friends, this would make Home sad since it is left behind. Also add the fact that Home speaks in onomatopoeia and only Wally could understand. Which means even if the other neighbors do try to befriend Home, they still wouldn’t be able to become super close friends unlike Wally and Home’s relationship. This would make Home lonely as well because it feels like Wally is leaving Home behind as he plays with his other friends. And remember, Wally lives inside Home. And Home is alive, therefore it can control what is inside the house. The hidden link so-below that shows Home’s eye staring at Wally is interpreted that Wally is being trapped and begging for Home to let him out in this theory. As any scared being, he must’ve had made a mess inside Home to get a respond to let him out like scratching the walls or smashing furnitures. And again, Home is a living house. The blood seen in there could’ve been from Home’s interiors destroyed as Wally attempts to escape from Home’s imprisonment. Additionally, the hidden links heavily implies that Wally is still with us and alone. Wally is trapped within the website itself, or should we say in Welcome “Home”. Wally is in the dark and he cannot see the viewer, but he is aware that we are here. Since Wally is alone and trapped inside Home, he would love to meet his friends again. There are no signs of his neighbors anymore so naturally he would befriend You, the viewer. There are not enough info yet on what Home can and cannot do. So this theory is still a theory. And the ARG is still in prologue. Plus we also need to add to account of what happened to the people behind the puppet show and how Welcome Home suddenly vanished. But so far, this is the theory that Wally lovers are going for! Wally is such a darling(pun intended) so it is hard to accept that someone who genuinely loves one’s friends would hurt them himself.
In the image of Wally sitting in his chair with a newspaper, there’s a missing article about Barnaby on the back of the paper. His chair has a patch that looks a lot like Barnaby’s polkadot pattern. The disappearance of Wally’s supposed “best friend” would contribute to his loneliness, but something tells me that he did this to himself. I just don’t know why
I think Sally might be a villian because when wally hears about most of his friends in the guest book he says "i love them" but with Sally his response is "I know Sally." Sally also has a moon on the left side of her front door, the same side of her face where her eye is closed in her neighboorhood image, and the same side of her overalls where she has a moon shaped button. In her valentines day card, it says "I'm over the stars for you" at the top and at the bottom, in red pen/pencil, "..and maybe the moon too". I think Sally might have a security-breach moondrop complex.
I honestly thought he was a mouth piece for house. Wally being fully aware that he's in a show and house in the background gives life to everyone in the show. Wally fully aware of how powerful house is and is afraid of this.
I don't think so tbh We never see Home doing anything suspicious outside of the "black goo under the house" + Home isn't just a building, he's a character IN the show just like Wally and the others. Bro even has a preferred set of pronouns he likes to be referred to with! (These being He/him and maybe they/them. And yes, this was confirmed by Coffin) he's unable to communicate with us and everybody thinks he's the villain just because he's a living house lmao Like, ok yeah! I see the whole "monster house movie" comparison, but Wally literally tell us to be quiet and don't tell stuff to anyone (unlike Home who's just...there, existing ig) and ppl refuse to acknowledge this and take Wally out of the mystery entirely just because he's "cute and innocent" guys, that's a whole ass man with a very suspicious behavior, c'mon.
@@Neganerd well there’s also this hidden thing in the site and it’s an audio clip of him singing a song Barnaby taught him to presumably Home and when he’s done he asks if he liked it and in response we hear some creaking and slamming noises and after this Wally says “That’s good I think.” others have put forth the theory that Home is using Wally to do things for it sheathed Wally want to or not. I think you should watch the other videos people have made about Welcome Home to see what I’m talking about.
Based on “duet” the audio clip of Wally singing to home, I think home is the true evil and is controlling Wally in someway, or at least Wally is scared of home for some reason
I don't think Wally is a bad person, he is the friendliest of the bunch and other than having a creepy voice, he is nothing but a kind heart. Home however is sketchy. I personally think that Home is a corrupted being, Wally isn't the center of the town, Home is. Home might even be the center of the universe for all we know.Home can't just be a house, they move and communicate. What if Home is a virus that has started to latch onto Wally. Sidenote: If i rembember correctly, the creator has mentioned that Wally has no ill inent when he startes at us, he just likes eye contact. (to a concerning degree)
On one of Wally's doodle responses in the guestbook, he said he asked another character something when it came to someone saying they loved/liked the character and that the character said they were flattered..ill see if i can find it and i'll update this EDIT: Right after i sent this you mentioned it, but it implies that he isn't alone. It's a bit confusing. 13:30 I thought the same about him being lonely, but maybe the other puppets aren't gone. What if house is mostly keeping him trapped? There's a lot of possibilities

I never really realized until finding out about this creative project, that the lingering eye contact from Wally is pretty effective in making someone uncomfortable. Could be from the childhood, Sesame Street style of children that don’t like eye contact. Still, it just gives me a weird feeling with eye imagery like a trauma core, paranoia sense in me. Though I do enjoy the ideas this can provoke. Edit: Replaced “arg” with “creative project.”
I think the was/is thing was done as this arg is through the lens of a restoration project, if you read further into Wally's, it says "his segments *were* often focused on drawing and painting-" so I think the is thing is probably nothing, but I may be off base
considering Wally says hes told the other neighbors and will say their response I would assume that the other neighbors are around but dont have the same awareness he does and his loneliness would come from that
Fun fact apparently Wally doesn’t eat normally he just looks at the food and it disappears and he basically only looks at the camera every time what made me think is he trying to get rid of us or something

I just went onto the website myself for the first time and noticed something interesting, at the end of the secret with the static tv I noticed what looked to be a face in the static, it could just be my eyes seeing things but when I looked closer it really looked like it might be Eddie’s face. I wish I could better brighten and enhance the image to see but I just thought that was interesting, don’t know if anyone else has noticed that so I thought I’d inquire.
Fun Fact: There was actually a muppet named Wally in real life who's character was the host and screenwriter for the "Muppet's Valentine Day Special" who apparently struggled with the appropriate concept of what "love" actually was. Coincidence or creepy connection??????
The creator said wally likes eye contact either he likes eye contact or it's a threat But I also have a theory! So everyone's description either has a "was" or it's sent in the past tense,but not wally it's either implying HE killed them or it's another reason,but I still need to find more info,and it also seems that wally is also one of the characters that is shown sitting.

Are we sure Wally didn't get jealous/desperate for the spotlight that he killed the other characters (or at least drove them away)? After his crimes, he's been feeling guilt and and extremely lonely so he made the website in hopes to reach out. Thus making this a unique take on Main Character Syndrome and social media.
My theory is that the other characters slowly started dying off as the show fell into obscurity, that's why Wally feels so alone. Being the main character would mean he's the last to die. It's like Toy Story 2

Wally always came off as... a confused animal to me. To put it into words, he reminded me of an animal who's put into a strange environment he isn't familiar with, and is not sure what to think of the people around him. His mannerisms always came off as unsettling, but not antagonistic. Like he genuinely believes breaking eye contact is rude, and his laughter is just how he laughs, despite being really unsettling.
Wally's Good Bye button on the neighborhood thing about him always reminded me of a ouija board (: i thought it was cool giving it a sort of supernatural message to it
7:30 as far as I made it so idk if you will mention it, but a very popular theory is that Wally is being puppeted by something, usually the house. The “real” Wally is all the good aspects of him for lack of a better term, while whatever is using him would be the bad. There definitely seems to be a dichotomy with him, but it might be a front he puts on idk. The timestamp I have put there also kind of supports it, and isn’t something I’ve seen people mention. The way Wally wrote his name is different for each note.
I look though the guest book and on page 5 one of the messages was scribbled out but all I could see was "this website has secrets" by Alex and i thought it was silly :)
Does Home the house not have a page? If so, is it in past or present tense? That means that Wally and Home may be the last two and, if we can trust the picture of wally inside Home (trapped, maybe?) then we can see that Home may Not be a puppet, at least as we know them. As you said on the guest book, wally's color is that deep red so perhaps its not blood, or it is and thats why its his color. Some have described his pose as worshipping or similar. But if Home is alive, wally may be trapped within it.
I don't know why, but I feel like House isn't the actual antagonist. House comes off as nervous and jittery rather than manipulative and having some kind of eerie goal. We see his eyes moving around, but he's not actually spying at every house. The way he looks at the house left and right seems to be out of fear that something was going on in those houses, and it's making sure nothing is going to happen to itself. His eyes then actually shake (and interestingly enough at Julie's house) before his eyes fall down below as if he's defeated or depressed. The image of Wally kneeling at House's eye (window) with blood all over it can also suggest that inside House isn't exactly normal, but there's implications of an actual human-like insides in the House. But I can't elaborate on it since there's still so many details yet to be seen.
I've seen oth people make longer videos of this, but I still feel like o got more information from.this one. And I like how you talk fast. Other people talk slow and make it hard for my brain to keep up. Which can be calming, but also makes it hard to focus, stay awake, and retain the information about a subject I enjoy.
Perhaps Wally is an Unreal Ontokinetic entity, he’s realized he’s a fictional character and can’t reconcile his cartoon reality with the audiences reality. He’s become so complex compared to the rest of the silly cartoon World that he was forced to consume all of it just for some stimulation. The home portal is a swirling hole, like a blackhole. And notice Wally is only facing away from audience when’s he’s facing homes bloody eye/window, perhaps a literal representation of Wally having nothing left but the window between our worlds. In terms of power, he’d have full reality warping within the confines of any media related to his world, but would not be able to directly affect the audience world, perhaps the show was canceled to ensure he could not spread through different mediums?
Is no one going to talk about the fact that “eating with your eyes” is a saying meaning you judge by looks? He is literally eating with his eyes…meaning Wally is perverted.

So I asked my grandma about this show she said she use to watch it when she was around 15 and she heard scary sound glass shaders and Wally’s voice even when the tv was off and around 2 am when she turned 16 she had a sleep over in her attic and she found a Wally doll that’s no one has seen and she called 911 and the police checked the basement and god I’m not getting to that part-

You mean the game I can only remember oNE GOD DAMN SCENE OF AND HAUNTS MY DREAMS?! yes. yes i do. Welcome Home deserves all the attention it can get. It's a fabulous looking ARG with exceptional art and extraordinary potential. Like basically everyone else, though, I also doubt that Wally is going to be the actual villain - or at least I hope not. My brain keeps running rampant wondering if it's going to jump down the possession-esque route of human souls trapped in the show but I sort of hope it doesn't. I like to think, so far, that "Home" itself is the antagonist and it focuses on the message of how trapping it can feel to be stuck in such a home town where everyone knows everyone? Which, for me, may explain the whole "You have wandered too far from home" - like you've run from your cage and the desperation to leave. Leave your home town, leave your childhood. But, that's probably self projection. Either way - I am ridiculously excited.
In many of the guest book responses from Wally, he mentions how he will tell/ has told the others what they say, including the example you gave with Eddie. There are also ones where he discusses the guest book notes with the others such as with the clown response where he asks frank what a clown is and that influences what he draws. While I do think there is a lot of evidence to show he is the only remaining residence of home, I'm curious to see how these could be explained. Any thoughts?
I've also heard multiple theories on how Wally contradicts himself in the notes so there might be 2 versions of him, as represented by the secret ones where his name is put together and he writes in a more natural way, with the multiple sillies at the end feeling very in character. While the other note where there are large spaces in between the letters has a more ominous and vague feeling, almost sounding resigned to loneliness. Perhaps this indicates that these responses are written over a large time span on the website and as more media is uncovered about Welcome Home his friends disappear causing Wally to become more lonely? Im not sure, I'm curious to see what others think of this idea
I actually have a theory that Wally has a cult that worships Home. With that one image alone I mean kneeling there in a worshiping fashion. My guess is that home is actually the good guy. I think this because when you look at home it looks like he's crying when you look at his windows. Wally is recruiting these young people. I mean a good chunk of them but two have backstories I suggest they were primitive or young. Except for Frank and the Mailman. In fact in one of the scarier fanarts you can find it's shown that Frank is singled out surrounded by shadow people. My guess is Wally started a cult based on this house. House didn't like it but couldn't do anything about it. Wally then built structures around it and recruited people. Frank and the mailman entered and well my guess is Frank the mailman and Home are against Wally and the rest of the characters and it was shut down because of cult-like activity.
4:39 I find it more interesting to say that the error 404 message goes to make the distinction between “home” (like a place) and “Home” (as in the living entity/‘9th neighbor’). I’m pretty sure I’ve seen websites have something similar to keep the theme and atmosphere or whatever intact, but the distinction is peculiar.
While I do see where you’re coming from, based on the animation, Wally doesn’t need to blink to eat, he was eating without him ever closing them. I also see where you’re coming from with the eye contact, but there’s also a difference between eye contact and scopophobia, and the creepy images with Wally are definitely meant to trigger scopophobia

I have like some sort of theory of Welcome Home. I theorise that the house is evil in a way. Let me take you to the name "Welcome Home". It could be greeting someone into your house, however, with the awareness of Home being a living house, it sort of takes a new form. Would it mean "Your Welcome"? Like you do something for someone and they say thank you so you say your welcome? I find this really inconsistent because well, Home can't talk, it's unlikely for them to give orders. Or could it be Welcoming him, YK, spiritually. Ghost can be welcomed into someone and possession happens. I mean, it's not surprising that it would be spiritually since with Wally sitting in Baphomet pose (A demonic entity) and have a cross on his cuff sleeve having a cross on it. I haven't figured that part out but it's possible that it's some sort of possession-ish situation, I'm unsure however. It's also fun to note that tarot cards, which are linked to Baphomet, are also linked to supernatural, Which links to two together. However, I'm unsure whether that means it supernatural that happens between Wally and Home. I do also wanna point out that people have satanic possession. Baphomet is associated with satanic stuff. Personally, I don't think Wally is a bad person. Despite the terrifying images, he isn't seemed to actually do some sort of evil. What I don't trust is Home. Home only have eyes that are always looking at each neighbours' house. Home only response with creeks, never a real voice. Not even Wally, who's lives inside there, knows what it says. That makes it creepier. Eerily creepier. A thing that we've seen associated with Wally. We've seen Wally (I think) bowing down to a bleeding Home eye. We've seen Wally question the Home's enjoyment. Something most concern Wally. I feel like Wally doesn't want Home to be upset with him. That's where my first theory with two ideas comes to mine. It's because, what I think, possession. According to Google, "control of a human body by spirits, ghosts, demons, or gods." I want to you to mainly focus of demons, since satanic stuff is always popping up in here. Then, there's what religions believe in possession, and would you look at that. Christianity. The ever thing Wally is technically associated with. Basically, I'm blaming most of the things on home. Now, we should turn out attention to Wally. Despite the fact Wally can't see (even tho his eyes are always staring at use), he can hear us. In the guest book, he responds to people. Usually, they have fun little surprise names under it. But two thing point out to me. One is a bunch of question marks that read something along the line of "Stop Fibbing. I can't see you. Please don't lie to me" and the scribbled out that says "No Memory". Now, there's a thing called "Possession Amnesia" I think you probably already know what it is by its name. It's an evidence of spirits. Guess what religion chronicled it! That's right, Christianity! I hadn't realize the past tense and the only circle tic tac toe. Wally is likely lonely. Despite the fact they speak to Wally (shown by multiple responses), I don't think that they're truly on the sentient level of Wally to be considered alive. But also, there is many evidence that they die later on. Like Frank's creepy image on the page of Clown's (and strangely Frank's hands don't belong to him) or like how Wally made Barnaby, technically impling he was never real. Maybe even Eddie being carried by Wally (I have no idea where people are getting that image). Do I think Wally is possessed is negatively influenced by Home, who I think is a demonic entity? Yes. Do I think I'm correct? No.
To answer that first question in the video. Yes, I did. And I thought no one else knew about it, or that I dreamt it. It was a show, or rather I saw it as a movie, and it served as a bit inspiration for me. ^^ I only found out much later, this year, what it was! And that it existed here on youtube. Wally being lonely might be more complex than Wally just being the only one existing. “Home”, Wally’s living house and the ninth neighbor also exists with Wally but can’t speak like Wally does. “Home” speaks in onomatopoeias, and is heard in an audio of Wally singing to home. Wally’s ask a question to “Home”, “Home” answers in banding noises, and Wally seems disappointed in the response saying, “ that’s good, I think.” He might be frustrated or saddened that he can’t have a proper friendship with “Home”, or anyone.

So perhaps it's not so much that he's alone as much as maybe he simply wants something more or something else of the sort is wrong. Personally I feel, and strongly hope, that Wally is NOT the villain. The House maybe, but not Wally. That Wally is alive, he is trapped, and he is trying to protect visitors, and save his friends, makes the most sense to me. Perhaps escape... Yet, I also get the impression Wally has maybe been alone for quite some time, leaving the question of how intact his sanity is. Still, I do feel he is trying to save everyone. I get the strong sense of someone trying to get back his friends, and the neighborhood, that he loves and using the restoration team to do this, using even us. Even if it hurts. That he wants his friends back, he wants to be free. Yet he is scared, perhaps even desperate. I feel empathy for what is a fictional character of an ARG puppet horror project.

This is the route I'm really hoping it ends up going, although I won't be disappointed if it doesn't. Everything at the moment seems to suggest Wally isn't the Big Bad of this situation, or at least, he's not evil so to speak, more that he's scared and alone, but wants desperately to help his friends in any way he can.
I kind of half want to believe Wally was once a real living child who came from an abusive or neglectful background while "Home" is either some kind of paranormal entity who drew him there and is keeping him trapped or is some kind of manifestation caused by Wally's own loneliness. This could very well explain why Wally is the only one aware....he is a good spirit trying to communicate with the real world, oblivious that there is also an evil presence

I don’t think Wally is the antagonist. He was kneeling in front of house and in one of the secret pages he seems to be discouraging us from letting someone know that we know about them. I do think he’s lonely because he’s the only one aware, but the question is aware of what? Is he alive in the show or is he somehow alive in the restoration project?
He's discouraging us from letting anyone know about what we have seen likely because he's behind it all, not because he's afraid?
To me that seems pretty obvious. Wally does seem to be the only one who is self aware indeed and he doesn't want us to find out the truth. He's staring at us in a creepy way multiple times and he's peeking out of Home. On the secret word link where he tells us to keep quiet we likely broke into Home itself, hence the darkness, and that's why he acknowledges our presence but points us he can't see us. He likely became sentient at some point in the show, maybe due to magic and the influence of the Eldritch entity under Home, Wally's house, where he could worship it. His contact with this entity is likely what corrupted the show and it started possessing the viewers as well, which is why it got cancelled. All of this is just a theory.

Theres something interesting about the name Wally. In 70s slang (since the show obviously takes place in the 70s), it means two things
1. A man suspected to be gay (Again, aligning with the Queer Themes of Welcome Home)
2. A vulnerable, foolish person.
Add to that being Wally specifically *kneeling* in front of Home's eye, and a theme of the arg being confirmed to be about whether or not "a Home can Love You", I really don't agree that Wally is the main bad guy here. Potentially an antagonist, yed! But not the puppet master

Well I seen someone say that they have the theory that Wally and Home are simbolic of an abusiv realetionship. Whuch seems plasable for me. That home is the abuser, and Wally is the victom. Especially if we look at the secon point. Abusers usually target vulnerable, and victoms can feel foolish. But looking at the first point I would say that it my still can represent, or simbolise an abusiv realetionship, but not an abusiv realetionship in a romatic realetionship, but rather an abusiv parent child realetionship. Or something simmilar to that.
(Sorry if this will be too fanficy, or the "blue curtos" thing). So I can imagin that it could represent a abusiv realetionship between a religous abusiv parent figure (who also could be a priest) (or even a bigger more religius ideal), and a posibly (defently) gay son, and therfore in a vulnerable situation because he wants to meet with his parental figure's expectetions (or with that religious ideal). I have a feeling that “Home” Wally’s house, is Wally’s own prison. Since Wally is self aware. And when you mentioned that alot of the characters are near home, I made a theory that either Wally trapped them there cuz he was lonely. My final theory however is that Wally was prob kneeling to house becayse he was begging to be freed or he was praying for new friends XD
My running theory is that Wally is the one who jump started the restoration process. Something happened (producers and likely scrapping of the show/ink spilling all over the puppets and videos hence the black sludge vortex behind the house) and all the other puppets apart from Wally were destroyed. Wally cannot stop smiling, even he might want to (the drawing of him telling Frank it’s hard for him to smile, while he looks annoyed but still smiling) as all his friends are lost and he is trapped by Home (the creator). He is trying to save his friends (and us) from Home, but he cannot do much more than his drawings and best attempts to resummon his friends
RUclips glitched on me a few times so I couldn’t explain more about my theory. There is a picture of Wally that suggests that Wally MADE Barnaby as the picture says “I made a Dog” with giant Barnaby behind him. Why would he try to kill Barnaby if he made him in the first place and thinks of him as his best friends? He is reading the newspaper with Barnaby’s presumably missing poster and his couch has a scrap of fabric that looks like Barnaby’S furr, and yet I don’t think he did the crime. We also see him Carrying Eddie who appears hurt. In the picture of Julie and the creepy hammer dripping blank inky substance he is a flower, a distraught pansy to be precise.

Now, ppl assume he is to blame for these since he is smiling on most of them, but we know Wally cannot not smile and the only way we can sorta discern his emotions (especially since he has no eyebrows) is to only rely on his eyes. There is another picture I want to point to, the disco picture. Behind Wally there are 2 men. Possibly the creators or the puppeteers. Oh! And the way I think the restoration project started is by Wally “carrying” out Eddie(‘s duties) and sending the letters himself, hence why they are covered in ink and paint. He was shoving these in the envelopes, desperate to get his friends back
Also I think that WaLLy (last page of guestbook) is actually Home and Wally has been so alone for so long, probably abused (the disco picture) and forced to watch his friends suffer while he cannot comprehend certain things (we can see that he doesn’t know what bees are, how to kiss, etc) so he sometimes goes about his love the wrong way. Oh! And a thing I noticed while creating my oc: all characters have their arms in the air, and everyone but Wally is looking at the hand that is “free”.
Fun fact, if you take the out of place letters and put them in a certain order, it puts you into another page with a bunch of secrets. One of them especially, is a dark room where you can only see Wallys' eyes, and text slowly appears saying, "Hello. You're there. I can't see you. Do you see me? Then stay quiet". It is almost implicating that he is trying to protect us from something, by saying "stay quiet". Like almost from him, or maybe home.
My parents weren't even born when this show supposably aired and was taken off air but when I saw the website and the videos it seemed familiar.

I’m not sure if anyone else knows this but franks gif where he’s blinking is in Morse code- it says D. On top of that his character design heavily implies that he knows Morse code, for that another picture of him and a butterfly spells TNT. I don’t have much proof other than that tho- I also noticed how the cryptic parts of all of this comes in threes. ‘Open open open’ or Wally’s ‘ha ha ha’ laugh- his song sings a certain line 3 times- 3 seems to be important here.

All the characters are puppets, except for one. I don't think Home is ever explicitly stated to be a puppet. I think Wally is the only character who can still directly interact with the world outside the show, but he's not the one in control. Perhaps Wally is the puppet, and Home is the puppet master. The fact that Wally is shown kneeling in front of Home, almost looking like he is worshipping Home, would fit into that idea as well.
In that sense, I think Wally can carry out antagonistic actions, but by the will of Home, not by his own. That'd also explain why on that one web page, Wally tells the viewer to stay quiet. Perhaps he is reaching out to you in secret and doesn't want to alert Home.
13:00 I should also point out that Wally is a PAINTER, so out of all the characters, he should be the one to draw these colorful responses.
I wonder if the rules in this ARG tap into the rule of the Epic Mickey games, where the more obscure members of the cast disappear when forgotten?
Many anonymous people on the website have reiterated how Wally is (or was) their favourite, so maybe he was memorable enough to continue existing, compared to the rest of the cast? Or perhaps Wally and Home accidentally frightened children growing up (similar to how many were afraid of Big Bird when they were young) and that kind of mental imprint meant those two were never forgotten. It could also explain why the show itself was so short, maybe it was taken off the air because some kids found the puppets unsettling. Or something happened, that meant the show had to be canned. An incident, maybe?
Or just a tight budget, who's to say. Of course we're just shooting in the dark with these assumptions. Ecstatic for this series to take off, can't wait to see more!

I think the most famous theory that fans(including me) have yet to like the most is that Home was behind of everything.
Home is a living house. It is alive but it cannot move. Wally loves to visit his neighbors because he loves his friends, this would make Home sad since it is left behind. Also add the fact that Home speaks in onomatopoeia and only Wally could understand. Which means even if the other neighbors do try to befriend Home, they still wouldn’t be able to become super close friends unlike Wally and Home’s relationship.
This would make Home lonely as well because it feels like Wally is leaving Home behind as he plays with his other friends. And remember, Wally lives inside Home. And Home is alive, therefore it can control what is inside the house. The hidden link so-below that shows Home’s eye staring at Wally is interpreted that Wally is being trapped and begging for Home to let him out in this theory. As any scared being, he must’ve had made a mess inside Home to get a respond to let him out like scratching the walls or smashing furnitures. And again, Home is a living house. The blood seen in there could’ve been from Home’s interiors destroyed as Wally attempts to escape from Home’s imprisonment.
Additionally, the hidden links heavily implies that Wally is still with us and alone. Wally is trapped within the website itself, or should we say in Welcome “Home”. Wally is in the dark and he cannot see the viewer, but he is aware that we are here. Since Wally is alone and trapped inside Home, he would love to meet his friends again. There are no signs of his neighbors anymore so naturally he would befriend You, the viewer.
There are not enough info yet on what Home can and cannot do. So this theory is still a theory. And the ARG is still in prologue. Plus we also need to add to account of what happened to the people behind the puppet show and how Welcome Home suddenly vanished. But so far, this is the theory that Wally lovers are going for! Wally is such a darling(pun intended) so it is hard to accept that someone who genuinely loves one’s friends would hurt them himself.
In the image of Wally sitting in his chair with a newspaper, there’s a missing article about Barnaby on the back of the paper. His chair has a patch that looks a lot like Barnaby’s polkadot pattern. The disappearance of Wally’s supposed “best friend” would contribute to his loneliness, but something tells me that he did this to himself. I just don’t know why
I think Sally might be a villian because when wally hears about most of his friends in the guest book he says "i love them" but with Sally his response is "I know Sally."
Sally also has a moon on the left side of her front door, the same side of her face where her eye is closed in her neighboorhood image, and the same side of her overalls where she has a moon shaped button. In her valentines day card, it says "I'm over the stars for you" at the top and at the bottom, in red pen/pencil, "..and maybe the moon too". I think Sally might have a security-breach moondrop complex.
I honestly thought he was a mouth piece for house. Wally being fully aware that he's in a show and house in the background gives life to everyone in the show. Wally fully aware of how powerful house is and is afraid of this.

We never see Home doing anything suspicious outside of the "black goo under the house" + Home isn't just a building, he's a character IN the show just like Wally and the others. Bro even has a preferred set of pronouns he likes to be referred to with! (These being He/him and maybe they/them. And yes, this was confirmed by Coffin) he's unable to communicate with us and everybody thinks he's the villain just because he's a living house lmao

@@Neganerd well there’s also this hidden thing in the site and it’s an audio clip of him singing a song Barnaby taught him to presumably Home and when he’s done he asks if he liked it and in response we hear some creaking and slamming noises and after this Wally says “That’s good I think.” others have put forth the theory that Home is using Wally to do things for it sheathed Wally want to or not. I think you should watch the other videos people have made about Welcome Home to see what I’m talking about.
Based on “duet” the audio clip of Wally singing to home, I think home is the true evil and is controlling Wally in someway, or at least Wally is scared of home for some reason
Since in the audios he seems to stutter and changes his sentences a lot, I think it's 2 personalities.
I don't think Wally is a bad person, he is the friendliest of the bunch and other than having a creepy voice, he is nothing but a kind heart. Home however is sketchy. I personally think that Home is a corrupted being, Wally isn't the center of the town, Home is. Home might even be the center of the universe for all we know.Home can't just be a house, they move and communicate. What if Home is a virus that has started to latch onto Wally.
Sidenote: If i rembember correctly, the creator has mentioned that Wally has no ill inent when he startes at us, he just likes eye contact. (to a concerning degree)
On one of Wally's doodle responses in the guestbook, he said he asked another character something when it came to someone saying they loved/liked the character and that the character said they were flattered..ill see if i can find it and i'll update this

There’s actually other pages If you take the order of the letters that were askew and rearrange them around at the end of the url and in one you’ll see a very scared sally saying smth like “be quiet, I’m glad it’s you” or something along those lines
I never really realized until finding out about this creative project, that the lingering eye contact from Wally is pretty effective in making someone uncomfortable. Could be from the childhood, Sesame Street style of children that don’t like eye contact. Still, it just gives me a weird feeling with eye imagery like a trauma core, paranoia sense in me. Though I do enjoy the ideas this can provoke.

I think the was/is thing was done as this arg is through the lens of a restoration project, if you read further into Wally's, it says "his segments *were* often focused on drawing and painting-" so I think the is thing is probably nothing, but I may be off base

Fun fact apparently Wally doesn’t eat normally he just looks at the food and it disappears and he basically only looks at the camera every time what made me think is he trying to get rid of us or something

I just went onto the website myself for the first time and noticed something interesting, at the end of the secret with the static tv I noticed what looked to be a face in the static, it could just be my eyes seeing things but when I looked closer it really looked like it might be Eddie’s face. Are we sure Wally didn't get jealous/desperate for the spotlight that he killed the other characters (or at least drove them away)? After his crimes, he's been feeling guilt and and extremely lonely so he made the website in hopes to reach out. Thus making this a unique take on Main Character Syndrome and social media.
My theory is that the other characters slowly started dying off as the show fell into obscurity, that's why Wally feels so alone.
Being the main character would mean he's the last to die.

Wally is the only one drawing in the guestbook because he's the artist, he is the one in the town who likes drawing.
Wally always came off as... a confused animal to me. To put it into words, he reminded me of an animal who's put into a strange environment he isn't familiar with, and is not sure what to think of the people around him.
His mannerisms always came off as unsettling, but not antagonistic. Like he genuinely believes breaking eye contact is rude, and his laughter is just how he laughs, despite being really unsettling.
I don’t think Wally is the true villain. I believe Home is manipulating him with his loneliness to use him/his powers as a vessel for strength
Wally's Good Bye button on the neighborhood thing about him always reminded me of a ouija board (: i thought it was cool giving it a sort of supernatural message to it

7:30 as far as I made it so idk if you will mention it, but a very popular theory is that Wally is being puppeted by something, usually the house. The “real” Wally is all the good aspects of him for lack of a better term, while whatever is using him would be the bad. There definitely seems to be a dichotomy with him, but it might be a front he puts on idk.
The timestamp I have put there also kind of supports it, and isn’t something I’ve seen people mention. The way Wally wrote his name is different for each note.
I look though the guest book and on page 5 one of the messages was scribbled out but all I could see was "this website has secrets" by Alex and i thought it was silly :)

Does Home the house not have a page? If so, is it in past or present tense? That means that Wally and Home may be the last two and, if we can trust the picture of wally inside Home (trapped, maybe?) then we can see that Home may Not be a puppet, at least as we know them.
As you said on the guest book, wally's color is that deep red so perhaps its not blood, or it is and thats why its his color. Some have described his pose as worshipping or similar. But if Home is alive, wally may be trapped within it.

I don't know why, but I feel like House isn't the actual antagonist. House comes off as nervous and jittery rather than manipulative and having some kind of eerie goal. We see his eyes moving around, but he's not actually spying at every house. The way he looks at the house left and right seems to be out of fear that something was going on in those houses, and it's making sure nothing is going to happen to itself. His eyes then actually shake (and interestingly enough at Julie's house) before his eyes fall down below as if he's defeated or depressed.
The image of Wally kneeling at House's eye (window) with blood all over it can also suggest that inside House isn't exactly normal, but there's implications of an actual human-like insides in the House. But I can't elaborate on it since there's still so many details yet to be seen.

I've seen oth people make longer videos of this, but I still feel like o got more information from.this one. And I like how you talk fast. Other people talk slow and make it hard for my brain to keep up. Which can be calming, but also makes it hard to focus, stay awake, and retain the information about a subject I enjoy.
Perhaps Wally is an Unreal Ontokinetic entity, he’s realized he’s a fictional character and can’t reconcile his cartoon reality with the audiences reality. He’s become so complex compared to the rest of the silly cartoon World that he was forced to consume all of it just for some stimulation. The home portal is a swirling hole, like a blackhole. And notice Wally is only facing away from audience when’s he’s facing homes bloody eye/window, perhaps a literal representation of Wally having nothing left but the window between our worlds. In terms of power, he’d have full reality warping within the confines of any media related to his world, but would not be able to directly affect the audience world, perhaps the show was canceled to ensure he could not spread through different mediums?

Welcome Home deserves all the attention it can get. It's a fabulous looking ARG with exceptional art and extraordinary potential. Like basically everyone else, though, I also doubt that Wally is going to be the actual villain - or at least I hope not. My brain keeps running rampant wondering if it's going to jump down the possession-esque route of human souls trapped in the show but I sort of hope it doesn't.
I like to think, so far, that "Home" itself is the antagonist and it focuses on the message of how trapping it can feel to be stuck in such a home town where everyone knows everyone? Which, for me, may explain the whole "You have wandered too far from home" - like you've run from your cage and the desperation to leave. Leave your home town, leave your childhood. But, that's probably self projection.
Either way - I am ridiculously excited.

In many of the guest book responses from Wally, he mentions how he will tell/ has told the others what they say, including the example you gave with Eddie. There are also ones where he discusses the guest book notes with the others such as with the clown response where he asks frank what a clown is and that influences what he draws. While I do think there is a lot of evidence to show he is the only remaining residence of home, I'm curious to see how these could be explained. Any thoughts?
I've also heard multiple theories on how Wally contradicts himself in the notes so there might be 2 versions of him, as represented by the secret ones where his name is put together and he writes in a more natural way, with the multiple sillies at the end feeling very in character. While the other note where there are large spaces in between the letters has a more ominous and vague feeling, almost sounding resigned to loneliness. Perhaps this indicates that these responses are written over a large time span on the website and as more media is uncovered about Welcome Home his friends disappear causing Wally to become more lonely? Im not sure, I'm curious to see what others think of this idea
I actually have a theory that Wally has a cult that worships Home. With that one image alone I mean kneeling there in a worshiping fashion. My guess is that home is actually the good guy.
I think this because when you look at home it looks like he's crying when you look at his windows. Wally is recruiting these young people. I mean a good chunk of them but two have backstories I suggest they were primitive or young. Except for Frank and the Mailman. In fact in one of the scarier fanarts you can find it's shown that Frank is singled out surrounded by shadow people.
My guess is Wally started a cult based on this house. House didn't like it but couldn't do anything about it. Wally then built structures around it and recruited people. Frank and the mailman entered and well my guess is Frank the mailman and Home are against Wally and the rest of the characters and it was shut down because of cult-like activity.

While I do see where you’re coming from, based on the animation, Wally doesn’t need to blink to eat, he was eating without him ever closing them. I also see where you’re coming from with the eye contact, but there’s also a difference between eye contact and scopophobia, and the creepy images with Wally are definitely meant to trigger scopophobia

I have like some sort of theory of Welcome Home.
I theorise that the house is evil in a way.
Let me take you to the name "Welcome Home".
It could be greeting someone into your house, however, with the awareness of Home being a living house, it sort of takes a new form.
Would it mean "Your Welcome"? Like you do something for someone and they say thank you so you say your welcome? I find this really inconsistent because well, Home can't talk, it's unlikely for them to give orders.
Or could it be Welcoming him, YK, spiritually. Ghost can be welcomed into someone and possession happens. I mean, it's not surprising that it would be spiritually since with Wally sitting in Baphomet pose (A demonic entity) and have a cross on his cuff sleeve having a cross on it. I haven't figured that part out but it's possible that it's some sort of possession-ish situation, I'm unsure however. It's also fun to note that tarot cards, which are linked to Baphomet, are also linked to supernatural, Which links to two together. However, I'm unsure whether that means it supernatural that happens between Wally and Home. I do also wanna point out that people have satanic possession. Baphomet is associated with satanic stuff.

According to Google, "control of a human body by spirits, ghosts, demons, or gods." I want to you to mainly focus of demons, since satanic stuff is always popping up in here. Then, there's what religions believe in possession, and would you look at that. Christianity. The ever thing Wally is technically associated with. Basically, I'm blaming most of the things on home.
Now, we should turn out attention to Wally. Despite the fact Wally can't see (even tho his eyes are always staring at use), he can hear us. In the guest book, he responds to people. Usually, they have fun little surprise names under it. But two thing point out to me. One is a bunch of question marks that read something along the line of "Stop Fibbing. I can't see you. Please don't lie to me" and the scribbled out that says "No Memory". Now, there's a thing called "Possession Amnesia" I think you probably already know what it is by its name. What it was, was "Gemini Commandoen redder verden!" Which was a tv series from Japan, spliced up and made into a movie. The fact that I can find the version I saw as a child, with the dub I watched, was mindblowing.
