You actually make progress of the last few days, it just really show the struggle of a man trying to save what is left of the world he live in. And the narrative is just very good like a fathe telling story to his children except the story is a dark one.
The fact he just casually picked up the silence armor trim which is one of the rarest items in Minecraft, 1% chance to spawn in ancient city chest is crazy to me.
and then he proceeded to just use it without duplicating it! unless that’s part of the modpack (to not be able to duplicate trims), that was a huge waste imo. once in a server i had to loot 10+ ancient cities for it! SERIOUSLY! he had such great luck
I love that, at some points later in the video, you can actually see some whales from Alex's Mobs helping you out by absolutely slaughtering any of the infected mobs that enter the water. The Sculk mobs seem to be super aggressive towards anything, and the whales just kill whatever attacks them with super high damage. Love to see it!
I'm only 15 minutes into the video rn and came to see someone mention Alex's Mobs because when he saw the Sunbird and thought it had Sculk on its head, I was so sad. I hope he figures it out later in the video.
@@utopiacore3978I'm pretty sure it is infested though, that's not the original design of the sunbird, if I had to take a guess there is compatibility for alex's mobs
New Legundo Lore. In the start he said "Add you back to the collective." This implies that at some point Legundo was part of the collective hive mind of sculk. Struggling against the intruding thoughts penetrating his mind, until he escaped. Fighting back against the system that once held him captive, and maybe even winning (In the future)
I remember seeing you look over some iron horse armor in one of those dungeons and thinking "that'll bite back at you later." Did not expect my prophecy to be literal. I am both sorry for your loss but have to say: LMAO.
I'd love to see one of those 300-1000 man civilization projekts where people are more or less free to do whatever as long as they found a civ and add this but not telling em making sure it stays hidden for 10 or so days so it can spread. And then see how the players react. Naturally all on hardcore
that'd be incredible, this or something like scape and run parasites, just don't let them spawn until people are established, maybe see if they could get a custom plugin to mark players as "infected" and friendly to the parasites, kinda like traitors in their midst.
@@juanguilherme4609 cant you just send the folder and have it renamed? obviously there's a level of trust involved, but at least there will be a decent portion that don't look. or recode it into a plugin
I would do literally anything for 200 days of this. You did not die, the sculk is still an active threat and you could theoretically absolutely win with enough persistence as im sure the constant gravemind respawning takes a toll on the sculks mass reserves. It genuinely seems like a battle you could eventually win!
Especially if he purifies a large area and then stops actively purifying it (so the scull reinfects it) that should use up some reserves to and if he continues to purify it, it should run out of places to make grace minds
Yeah do a 200 days it can start by that thing blasting him 10000 blocks away and he has to get an item to stop spawning graveminds to stop it from growing and it could be called ultimate sculk stoper and it need a gravemind to craft
it wasnt infested if it did get killed by sculk it would normally die instead of getting infested due to alex's mobs is not compatible with skulk horde
"Fall. You are alone, child. There is only darkness for you, and only death for your people. These Ancients are just the beginning. I will command a great and terrible army, and we will sail to a billion worlds. We will sail until every light has been extinguished. You are strong, child. But I am beyond strength. I am the End. And I have come for you." The whole time watching this, as the Skulk showed capability of thinking and evolving on the fly, adapting to what you did and countering everything, I was thinking about the Lich from Adventure time; an entity of complete and total decay and corruption, a singular purpose driven by an unstoppable will. You can fight, and maybe even make ground. But for every week you toil and struggle to make headway, a single day erases it elsewhere. For every brain you destroy two more spawn. For every moment you aren't focusing on a node, it spreads like a wildfire, making it that much harder. Personally, I hope this continues, because this is such a fascinating concept and idea for a series. I myself would fortify one of the towns, the one to the Southwest primarily as it has a lot of defensible areas; a perimeter of purifiers and walls, a safe haven as you push back against this all-consuming entity. Because for all the progress you made getting to the Ancient Node, the struggle, the supplies, the time itself, you know a single day passed and it was all undone.
Honestly…it just reminded me of the Flood from Halo. Everything that fell only strengthened it. A localized infection you could handle pretty quickly, but it could also spiral out of control pretty quickly. In both situations, its a race against time. What you do in the very first few minutes of an outbreak can very well determine whether said outbreak will reach that “out of control” critical mass or not. In this video…those first few minutes were…kinda wasted, cause there really wasn’t anything that could be done to stop it, so it just went out of control. Am I saying that this video could’ve been only 20-30 minutes long had the infestation not started on day one? Absolutely. Am I also technically saying that modern day militaries could stop a Flood infection from consuming the planet? Also yes. All it takes is a solid response as soon as it appears.
@@Legundo I’ve noticed that everyone has a word they constantly use for a while. If you pay attention you’ll notice that phrase or word being used a lot and people never notice it until you point it out to them
If you do a retry on this, why not put purifiers in the gravemind nodes after you break the central piece and then cover any blocks you broke to get to the core. Theoretically it would then be protected from enemies by the enemy's "corpse" as it would be unreachable to any enemy targeting it.
Honestly Sculk Horde is my favorite infection mod. It’s the most balanced out of the bunch and it’s got some of the most interesting mechanics out of them. Awesome 100 days with it!
Sculk: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." But seriously imagine this but on SMP. It would definitely give a Minecraft Story Mode feel. Since you're going to need a team to take the sculk down.
Something about world-consuming threats is just so cool to me, and the Wither Storm is no exception. Now I want to see a showdown between the Horde and the Storm...
@@merafirewing6591 if they could find a way to scale it up and run decently imo it would be so insanely good, cus rn things like mod cap or like loaded chunks I think mess with it a tad
Personally, I was thinking you would have had to just resort to building a fortress in the skulk territory with 10-20 active purifiers to make a safe haven like in most apocalypse movies
The Skulk Node : *dying, wheezing on its last breath, vengeance to the one whom made its end* Legundo : *cheering in absolute triumph, finally finding one of the two nodes plaguing his world* The Skulk : "It'd be a real shame y'know, to have all that hard, honest work, go to waste. But y'know, this is no such place, for a hero." The Skulk : *casually reconstructs the one he just destroyed in a slightly different area* Legundo : ".... Why."
This mod’s skulk reminds me of the Flood from Halo. Both are infections that want to gather mass to make themselves bigger, both are unexpectedly intelligent with their strategies and reactions, hell they both even have “Graveminds”.
this was the longest and most S-tier, high effort "100 days" i've seen so far. i was thoroughly entertained, and didnt feel like a minute of my time was whasted. subscribing in hopes for day 101-200. dont disappoint me, please!
15:33 For a sec, this made me think(hope) that the sculk apocalypse mod had cross-compatibility with Alex's Mobs. That would be so sick! But nope, that's just what the Sunbird looks like. It's a great coincidence that its head looks sculkey, though! This bird is basically a sun-god, so it being infected is a terrifying thought By the way, the music around 1:51:00 came from the backpack mod. There's a jukebox upgrade that can sometimes be on mobs that spawn with a backpack, and if it does, there's also always a music disc on them
The sunbird part was an amazing moment even though it turned out to be nothing. Showed there's yet more potential to what this already amazing mod could be. Would have loved to see more moments like that with payoff. Like some mobs that can only recieve an infection but aren't spawned straight from the skulk. Could make for rare but incredibly interesting moments that would complete it for me
Thank you for answering my confusion on the musical creeper. I was looking through several mods to see if something at least similar what on there. He even found a jukebox backpack a couple of minutes later.
A possible way to cease the growth of the skulk would be to go about 10+ chunks out from the current skulk on all sides, further out the bigger the skulk mass. The reason for so many is not to have that border be the final border, it's to give you time to work on fully completing the border. Once you have a sort of box made, use tnt to mine out a decent rivine along the designated box until bedrock is reached. If you find skulk underground crossing the border you've made, adjust border but less chunks away because you will be dealing with that side at that moment. Now that the border is established, enclose purifying nodes and possibly make layers if the Skulk has too much mass. As the purifiers work, attack the skulk on the infested land to wither down it's mass. The current goal is to weaken the skulk so it cant send out troops across the rivine you made earlier. Once it is weakened, finish it off. If the skulk has made it over the rivine, adjust border accordingly and possibly bridge the two infested lands for your ease of movement. Keep this to 1 or 2 block wide lines. In order to cross your man made rivine yourself, having jump obstacles works well as the skulk cannot traverse air without the use of the spore mobs. Putting disconnected purifier towers along the sides of your bridges is another great defensive strategy
This is like a zombie apocalypse, but skulk. So for a zombie enjoyer I see this as an absolute win. If he doesn't have the pack he made in the description I'ma make my own because this is cool af
It's really quite interesting (for me, to say the least) that you limit yourself from the Nether, which unlocks whole new power and everything that can be collected to fight the sculk, mainly Netherite and potions tho (but you already specify that you actively limit yourself so I won't judge) This sculk world is so much "dangerous" than what ShadowMech did, with whole new dimensions of it, and honestly, I'd love to see the Scenario team tackle this world (probably with slowed down infection rate 😂) For your next adventure, Legundo.. May you find safety, from the Decem.. 🥂
@@d4s0n282 ShadowMech did Sculk Dimension.. different kind of sculk in his own lore The reason why the slowed down infection rate is, usually, the Scenario team needs seven IRL days to do it.. while 100 days in MC seems pretty "short" compare to 7 IRL days.. so..
Part two perhaps? I think a part two would be interesting. You trying to hunt down all of the nodes as fast as you can and trying to finally destroy the original one.
This is maybe silly but honestly these scenarios being taken more seriously and almost .. in character? Are so great. I love it when it plays out with a very clear goal to work towards from the start and the looming deadline pushing you for improvement past your comfort zone. Keeps me drawn in to the story! 10/10 will watch again lol
the reason it instantly spawns a node is because when u have too many nodes, the mass increases, and once u have around 4 on the map its almost impossible to get rid of them
So, I think what would be cool is a grave mind compass. Like how a lodestone compass points to the lodestone or the recovery compass points to where you died. It would make fighting it a bit easier.
Kinda seperate, but, recently found a modpack that includes the skulk horde (thankfully not on world gen, you have to open the skulk tomb first) known as The Everlasting fog, adding cavedweller, night dweller, herobrine and about a dozen other mods that have made my survival rather... precarious so far haha
@@UltraPancake-qe6vh Called The Everlasting Fog on curseforge, have at it :) though maybe disabled the spore parasites since I've found they advance far faster than you can prepare, reaching a boss stage by like day 3
It's really interesting to see how you handled the Sculk, personally I would have built a big-ass stone wall, and placed the purifiers along it, to provide a bulwark against it lol, from the looks of things, having the purifiers safe in the air definitely helped, rather than having to run around to protect them. Of course that wouldn't work against the sculk burrowing underground lol!
This was bone chilling and so cool I have never seen a hundred days challenge like this before. It seems that you had screwed yourself over by not allowing yourself access to the nether. I would love to see you do this again and actually beat it this time. Your content is awesome and you’ve definitely earned a new subscriber. Props to the story telling as well!
as someone who doesn't use mods and gets easily overwhelmed when i do, i think all the new additions to minecraft are great. i can take a break for half a year and come back to new content without being crazy overwhelmed with it. no options, just new content. there will always be new mods introducing new things, so people who say minecraft is getting "too modded" are pretty weird
People saying the game feels modded are usually referring to the fact that Minecraft is falling into the pit traps modded content falls into. They’re adding tons of new features in isolation that don’t have further uses, or don’t intermesh with already existing things in a substantial way. Most of the content from almost a decade ago was made in a way that gave it flexibility, but the content we get from the devs nowadays usually has limited utility and feels distinctly set apart from everything else. It doesn’t fit into the status quo of what has been established as vanilla (at least to most players). This is definitely a product of dev changes and how we expect new things from an older property to keep it relevant, but it kinda sucks that it takes so long to implement things (especially when it’s the upgrade tablet).
It would be so cool if their was a way to purify graveminds and have your own pure sculk that would only infect hostile mobs and make them friendly with the downside that it is weaker the the normal sculk and you'd have to constantly protect it
Dude why did the first horse arc get me EMOTIONAL.. you thought it died when you left it, but you found it again. And then it actually died and was like the FULL catalyst to spreading a bunch more of the horse. But you also got revenge for it by killing the enderman. And you could never find a better horse than that first one. This was HEARTWRENCHING, that horses death was like the climax of this whole 100 days. And don’t even get me started on the second horse….
@VioletyV the multiverse are different scenarios that Legundo plays through, but they all have the monoliths in them which somehow tie them together. Did he put them there, or are they actually part of a larger mulitverse? We don't know, and that is wonderful.
@@robertkennedy4114 exactly! Which makes the escape and run part even more important. I just really want to see a nomadic style of 100 days. And I’m pretty sure that there are some mods where you can turn yourself into a god

At this point I think he may have to call backup, cuz clearly one person this late into the infection with spawn rates this fast for the nodes, chances of beating the sculk is next to zero without help, it’ll also be a good idea for a multiplayer force with Shaun and the gang working together to take the sculk out! @Legundo
This was one of the most introcate, enjoyable and movie-like 100 days videos I have seen so far! The ending implies a Part 2, so I am really looking forward to it!
The growth truly reminds of "the meaty part" pf Amnesia The Dark Descent. The lower you went the more growth you saw and with it came the monsters. I would love to see even 200 days of that. Fighting with the Sculk and slowly bringing the world back to what it once resembled. I can already tell I will definitely be rewatching the Sculk Apocalypse but maybe after I pass my Master's exams
This was amazing! I think the setting were a little bit too hard, considering there was only 1 of you and you disallowed the nether, but this is definitely a fascinating mod. I think it would be interesting if each node had a limit to how far it could extend before having to create a new node to extend further. That would help identify where new nodes could be found more easily. But thats just an idea :)
Ahhh I had gasped at the reveal with the acient node and I thought the suprises were done but then the ending man! I gasped so loud 😅! Ahhhhhh. YAY another multiverse video. i didnt even relize that this video was another on that series. this was awesome and i ate dinner while watching this video so i had plenty of entertainment while eating.
FYI the "musical creeper" was caused by the sophisticated backpacks mod. Mobs can spawn in wearing backpacks, sometimes with upgrades, and one of the backpack upgrades is a jukebox.
Great video! This was extremely entertaining and caused me to rediscover (alongside the 1 dimensions) this channel. I'm actually going back to watch the 100 days playlist, but the playlist is backwards, starting at the most recent & ending on the first so it makes a very awkward viewing experience.. But this video, again, was great! It even gave the idea to make fan art of the adventure. Keep up the great work!
I remember there was a video about some ancient civilization that was consumed by skulk magic, and at the end there was the portal. And it was quite a while ago. Did I miss the second episode? Was it ever published?
@@ehhov My guess would be that this isn't an immediate sequel to 100 nights, but a continuation of the fact that Legs flew into the portal in the ancient city, which is theorized to be a portal into a sculk dimension. I dunno.
This looks like it would be awesome to have a team deal with the skulk. It would be less frantic hit and run fights, and more logistics and "Hold at the Hot Gates!" but it would still be fun.

1:51:07 Great video! Also, I believe that’s part of the backpack mod. There’s an upgrade to your backpack that allows for music discs to be inserted, and from other mod packs I’ve seen various mobs spawn with them. "Fall. You are alone, child. There is only darkness for you, and only death for your people. These Ancients are just the beginning. I will command a great and terrible army, and we will sail to a billion worlds. We will sail until every light has been extinguished. You are strong, child. But I am beyond strength. I am the End. And I have come for you."
The whole time watching this, as the Skulk showed capability of thinking and evolving on the fly, adapting to what you did and countering everything, I was thinking about the Lich from Adventure time; an entity of complete and total decay and corruption, a singular purpose driven by an unstoppable will.

Skulk wants you to become part of it, Mother skulk wants to you to be one with the skulk family!
15:33 For a sec, this made me think(hope) that the sculk apocalypse mod had cross-compatibility with Alex's Mobs. That would be so sick!
But nope, that's just what the Sunbird looks like. It's a great coincidence that its head looks sculkey, though! This bird is basically a sun-god, so it being infected is a terrifying thought
By the way, the music around 1:51:00 came from the backpack mod.
Can't do that unless he can use the nether. He doesn't have enough crying obsidian to fight back

It's really quite interesting (for me, to say the least) that you limit yourself from the Nether, which unlocks whole new power and everything that can be collected to fight the sculk, mainly Netherite and potions tho (but you already specify that you actively limit yourself so I won't judge)
This sculk world is so much "dangerous" than what ShadowMech did, with whole new dimensions of it, and honestly, I'd love to see the Scenario team tackle this world (probably with slowed down infection rate 😂)
For your next adventure, Legundo.. May you find safety, from the Decem.. 🥂
what did shadowmech do? also if you do a team you would 100% want it be speeded up infection rate lol
@@d4s0n282 ShadowMech did Sculk Dimension.. different kind of sculk in his own lore
The reason why the slowed down infection rate is, usually, the Scenario team needs seven IRL days to do it.. while 100 days in MC seems pretty "short" compare to 7 IRL days.. so..
Part two perhaps? I think a part two would be interesting. You trying to hunt down all of the nodes as fast as you can and trying to finally destroy the original one.
I thought im only one who wants at least part 2
This is by far one of the best and entertaining modded gameplays. I truly enjoyed every second of it. Really hope to see a part 2.

They are working on a Node detector.

@@ihaar yes sorry they’re very important
as someone who doesn't use mods and gets easily overwhelmed when i do, i think all the new additions to minecraft are great. i can take a break for half a year and come back to new content without being crazy overwhelmed with it. no options, just new content. there will always be new mods introducing new things, so people who say minecraft is getting "too modded" are pretty weird
It would be so cool if their was a way to purify graveminds and have your own pure sculk that would only infect hostile mobs and make them friendly with the downside that it is weaker the the normal sculk and you'd have to constantly protect it
This would be really nice as a mass multi-player playthrough tbh. This would be really nice as a mass multi-player playthrough tbh.
