Hey, I have a skyblock world myself, if you use a waterlogged staircase it still works as a cobble gen sense the back/tall side of the stairs prevent the water from pouring out but still counts as water hitting the lava, so you never have the risk of making obsidian. Don't know if it'll help, but a neat thing to know.
29:20 you shouldnt make single jungle trees, they dropp close to none saplings, when you make 2x2, there is almost guarantee chance to at least 4 saps to replant the tree if not more
I have reached the point where you lost the jungle saplings, and there is one possibility for you to gain more. Good ol Dubya-Tee the wandering trader.
it might be due to either focus or seeing them all on the ground if you let them break naturaly - but there's no better chance for them to fall in either way

@@iheartblock3792 what if you get a huge jungle tree? The chance of jungle sapling is like 2,5%, but a huge jungle tree has like 100+ leaves. On average that should yield at least 4 saplings (not 100%, but on skyblock i got 0 saplings from 2 oak trees in a row, forcing me to restart), or should it?

Small tree has approximately 5²-5(corners and middle section) multiplied by 2 + approximately 9 leaves, leaving us with 45-50 leaves (idk exact amount, it can be 5²-6 or even -7). Jungle saplings drops from small tree's should be at least sufficient to get at least 1 sapling. It's not quarantined, but very high chance that at least 1 sapling drops from a small tree. Also i want to correct my statement, i don't know exact amount of jungle leaves on a big tree, but the amount of leaves whould be somewhere in-between 150-200 leaves, making it very hard to get more, but should still have a high chance to get enough saplings to replant the jungle tree
59:14 the reason the creeper exploded is because you were crouching, so it could see you! in that setup (which is also my standard), mobs can see you when you're crouching right against it. that's how i get my music discs in superflat :)

Seeing Legundo build bridges out of top half instead of bottom half slabs hurts my soul! So many early game issues of mob spawning on the bridges would’ve been a non-issue if the bridges were bottom half
Legundo, for you to be playing Skyblock while I'm doing Oneblock seems a bit interesting. After all, your the one who inspired me to play Oneblock after your video of surviving 100 days in Oneblock. So maybe this is a sign that I need to do Skyblock when I'm done Also, I'm doing Oneblock 1.21 and I do not recommend that you do a 100 days video in it. As you'll get an advancement for falling into the void after breaking the oneblock. It results in death. Edit: But If you do decide to make a 100 days video in Oneblock 1.21. Put half your dirt and cobblestone in a chest for trrading. As there's a "Mysterious Trader" who accepts dirt and cobblestone as payment for some of his trades.
Something I didn't see you doing, but can be super helpful for skyblock series, is to place your slabs on the lower half of the block. This prevents mobs from spawning. Which is especially useful for the nether and your bridges between islands.

Not true that breaking leaves is worse than decaying but jungle wood is half as likely to drop saplings as other woods, common myth, no clue where it started but from what I know it’s never been true and is definitely not currently

Couple friendly criticisms in case you see this. You started on a 4 block tall dirt island. You could have mined 3 blocks down and quadrupled your surface area. Also for the jungle saplings at the beginning, you had 4 total. Meaning you could have grown an enormous jungle tree and guaranteed multiple saplings and close to a stack of wood.

If you don't know, for some reason jungle trees drop way fewer saplings, so to counter that i reccomend big jungle trees cuz those have more leaves, so at least if you let them decay on their own, they can get a sapling profit.
Finally someone put the bone meal thing in the video and explained it. I have been using this for years on sky block maps and can't believe no one uses this method.
I've been under the impression for almost 10 years that breaking leaves by hand only has a 1/3rd chance at saplings to the normal decay. Edit for punctuation-

Jungle Leaves do have a 1/400 chance of producing a sapling for each leaf broken, unlike any other leaf which would be a 1/200 chance instead. To get even jungle leaves, you'd have to have the 4x4 type of jungle tree which produces a lot of leaves.

Always start with bottom slabs in a skyblock when expanding your island and bridging, mobs can't spawn on those and you don't have to waste torches lighting everything up
I know it's a bit late but I'm pretty sure leaves have a better rate of dropping saplings if you let them decay naturally rather than breaking them, also feel like you should have planted a 2x2 big jungle tree when you originally had enough saplings for it, more wood and more leaves so higher chance of saplings :)

Ive never, in my whole life, see someone create infinite water with BONEMEAL. Like that probably skips a lot of progress in certain skyblock modpacks

I used to as well for the longest time. I think it's a massive Mandela effect for a lot of people but it has equal chance no matter how it breaks

Jungle Leaves do have a 1/400 chance of producing a sapling for each leaf broken, unlike any other leaf which would be a 1/200 chance instead. To get even jungle leaves, you'd have to have the 4x4 type of jungle tree which produces a lot of leaves.

29:25 Instead of single jungle trees, plant them in 2x2 grids for a much better chance of getting at least 4 saplings.

My emotional stability currently lies in the hands of Legundo, so he better make a 200 days video on this! (something bad happened as I was watching the beginning of the video and now I'm emotionally unstable and could cry at any moment)
Always start with bottom slabs in a skyblock when expanding your island and bridging, mobs can't spawn on those and you don't have to waste torches lighting everything up

I know it's a bit late but I'm pretty sure leaves have a better rate of dropping saplings if you let them decay naturally rather than breaking them, also feel like you should have planted a 2x2 big jungle tree when you originally had enough saplings for it, more wood and more leaves so higher chance of saplings :)
