I believe the devs had said they do plan to update, but only after they consider the mod finished.

It would be cool if the sculk mod could make warden and stalkers (some of the scrapped warden concepts) once it’s mass is sufficient
they should and also make other sculk beings like sculk evokers and stuff
I've heard that there's an issue with wardens attacking sculk horde mobs which is why they aren't added
Assimilated wardens are planned for From Another World's assimilated sculk though

@@a_catsSomething about this makes kinda perfect sense to me. If the Warden is made from a kind of “natural skulk,” then I can see why it would be aggressive against the infection. Like a cell in your body fighting off cancer
If i had to pick a favourite. It would be the Sculk. It loses in sheer strength, but appears to have an actual strategic AI controlling its behaviour complete with resource management and targeted expansion/attacking. It actually knows Villages are a prime target and seeks them out. Even its method of spreading via a random-walk algorithm is thought out and the graveminds keep chunks active so you can't merely outrun it to halt it.
By comparison the Spore mostly has this random scatter form of infection and a shared aggro system. While the thing relies mostly on its random tunneling and long aggro range to get the job done.
It's what makes the Sculk uniquely terrifying to me. It learns, it adapts and it will fight you. It's not just random, it actively fights you. I love it.
I like how the Sculk and the thing keep trying to infect each other giving the spore time to grow

I like to imagine how chaotic it would be if the AVP mod was added to the mix. Xenomorphs and Predators dealing with infections sounds like an amazing comic idea

What you didnt see about the skulk is that it mostly takes over the underground so all the skulk on the surface is only a 4th of the total ammount of skulk
Yeah I think thing wins the surface war, but the underground is ruled by skulk
The idea that The Thing as a collective entity respects Karat for advertising it’s respective mod and wants people to subscribe to him because of it is oddly wholesome.
If and when Scape and Run updates to more recent versions, something tells me it'd just steamroll its competition. Put simply, the parasites are both more numerous than those of the thing, sculk, and fungal infections, _and_ also generally cracked as hell.
Like, put an assimilated enderman up against a sculk enderman, and the sculk enderman would be lucky not to die screaming.
i don't know if that's true because the assimilated enderman got beaten to the ground by an iron golem

the sculk enderman would shit himself if put against a simmerman
Scape and Run is horribly unbalanced (seriously, I get it's supposed to be hard but at least_try_ and balance it.), it's the 40k to everything else's Halo or some other more sensibly made setting.
@@kabob0077 this is honestly the most damning comparison i've ever heard made. getting compared to 40k is _NEVER_ a good thing.
i like the idea that eventually they will adapt to each other and start a cycle of adaptation to a point that they become each other

I wonder if you build a base out of Reinforced Blocks from 'Security Craft' would you be safe from Infection mods like these? The blocks can't be altered or damaged by mobs so in theory you could make a full-blown Fallout Vault to keep yourself and some survivors safe.
sculk can't transform blocks that need a diamond tools and higher
The Thing might be able to tunnel in if you're unlucky, and spore can infect through walls if mounds are placed nearby
@@KaratFengMinecraft Reinforced blocks need a specific tool to remove them after they've been place. They're bedrock as far as the game's concerned.

i do think the mod devs of these 3 mods should collab and make it so their mods work better with each other

Could you use infected creepers from Yellowbross's Extras next? They multiply every time they kill a mob and can easily create an army.

Someone should make a mod that has these three infections have a strange symbiotic effect. Never one could take the crown and your just the player running rapidly and adding a gun mod to make things fair

For some reason, it looked like the sculk was put at a pretty big advantage in the overworld. But had a rather large disadvantage in the witherstorms body.
Imagine trying to survive in a world full of these freaks.
it would be fun to Watch them team up againest the parasites as I think the parasites are the most powerful infection there to be with a fast infection in both the terrain and mobs it also has so powerful mobs and Bosses
parasites are on an older version so they can't fight newer mods unfortunately

I bet SRP would just dominate once they are available to the latest versions since they have multiple bosses and plus they have damage adaptation

There is also the Changed mod for Minecraft which adds white goo that infects other blocks and spawns hostile humanoids that assimilate villagers.

I hope someone creates an infection mod with the theme of ender corruption and is at a level comparable to these 3 to bring them together and make a true endless war

parasites already pretty much look like flood
No matter where I look, there is in Flood mod yet. However if there was. I would think it would be a more cracked version of the sculk horde that prioritizes infection and biomass over all else, using said biomass the spread itself. Then again that is pretty vague as an infection but the way I see it is the sculk horde spreads specifically to gain more biomass, the spore is a much more defensive parasite in which it has very strong mobs though much slower terraforming. The think spreads biomass to infect more things. Honestly if there was a flood mod, it would have the strengths of each of these mod packs with its own weaknesses. Probably a bigger weakness to fire since the flood in the halo games are borderline allergic to fire.
That's so cool, I want to see more cross-mod compatibility, where these alien organisms interact with eachother in different ways... perhaps even winning against the other. Think about the Thing learning how to break nodes and stuff, war, pretty cool

someone has to make a Anti-Infection mod
where it adds a new infection that is essentially the Minecraft World fighting back like a immune system
another cool infection idea would be either be Mechanical Hivemind that uses nanobots to convert biomass
or just directly importing Terraria's Crimson and Corruption, Halo's Flood, or 40k's Tyranids
Next you should add "The Flesh That Hates". though it might be good to wait until its revamped
Sculk: Collect as Much as Territory to engage other Threats
Thing: Cover Enemy Land, and Adapt to anything thrown at it
Spore: Reinforce itself in 1 Area until it is strong enough to expand, making its Center Base bigger
Its So cool seeing Minecraft Parasite Mods each having their own Mentality & Method of Infecting
This is the sickest thing ive seen done with infection mods so far holy cow
Although im 4 months late i will give huge points for using what i think is the Final Effort named ost from halo 3 that in the wither storm showing the 3 infections tingled multiple spots on my brain with the music as a cherry on top

When you go back to making infections fight there is a mod called the flesh that hates i don't know if you heard about it already but it's on 1.20.1 too.
Btw the flesh that hates is top 3 most horrific scps. It's like The Thing on steroids and crack.

you could make the, fight a modded dungeon or something that has alot of mob spawners inside or vs. the twilight forest structure mobs normal and boss
brooo, i have done the same with three other mods: thaumcraft's taint, abyssalcraft's dread and scape and run parasites
3º being scape and run parasites, since it can only infect certain mobs
2º being dread, since it can turn any mob into a dread being
1º being taint, since it doesn't really turn the mob into another being in 1.12.2, just making it tainted

Personnaly I always dreaming of making an mechanical infection mod,
You fuse copper, quartz, redstone and limestone in some ways and you get some singularity machine that you would give ONE singular task, and 3 interditions/preferance, and then it lanch, and do everything possible in the world for making the task, have specials items debloqued with his stage, and can use others mods for accelerating itself, and first stage goes "hey look creator ! I am so happy to finally started your task of [...]" and slowing go into "nothing can stop me, I will do everything to do my task"
But still respect the three rules imposed to him

@@crowbell3059 yeah but if you put the correct rules, because after you put his purpose and three rules (that would be autorisation, preferances, interdition or obligations of simple stuffs) it will only do his task and respect the three rules, and you could also show it an exemple of how to do his task, and if you want to let the ia send certains informations to the general mod,
Also it would be using the ressources to transform the world around it into an factory for doing his task, and when it's finished and it's impossible to continue it transform the factory into two others secondairy singularitys with an little of the main singularity memory and would be "programmable" but could continue an little the main singularity tasl

The Parasite mod conquered my overworld base, I tried defending it with rifles, then came back later with mini guns and an elytra, died, came back again with rockets, didn’t stop them and I died, now it belongs to the parasites, now I live in a skybase.
Man, it would be cool that scape and run parasite was in the ver, anyways, it would be cooo seeing, thr beast vs sculk enderman vs sieger
