      WHY:
I watch these videos because it does what it says. Shows you a peak behind the scenes, answers the curious question that a lot of people have “how does he do all of this?”.
      WHAT I LOVE:
Really appreciate the direct vlog approach in the edits with the blend of production, gives it a closer feeling.
WHAT I WANT TO SEE MORE OF:
More insights into the types of things you’re unable to get done. How do you know when to say no, why do you cancel meetings & what do you do to ensure you’re prioritising your calendar in advance? (If it even happens

Steven, first and foremost, love what you are doing. I have been following you for such a long time! I'm talking from the audio podcasts EP1 till present! You're literally my mentor. I'm fully locked in, and what inspires me most is your story and where you came from only to achieve what you have till present. I live in Zambia, Africa and it literally had me gassed knowing you were in South Africa which is so close to where I'm from. I always sit with my aunt and I tell her that I will meet you one day, that is for sure! Cant wait! Thank you for all your hard work, your content, the energy and time you put into creating what you do for viewers/listeners like us. You truly connect us all! Forever striving Steven!

I absolutely love your podcasts. As a new mum in 2021 and covid being very much top conversion, my mental health suffered so badly and since then I've been learning about how the human body operates, how to learn in and listen to yourself and general overall health. Your podcasts have made learning so much easier. Keep doing what you are doing, I'm just one tiny voice out of millions you have helped ❤❤❤❤

You are so relatable, that's why I watch all of the content you and your fabulous team produce! Your transparency inspires me so much. You feel and struggle with so many of the same things and yet you're living the life you want and creating so much opportunity for others. It encourages me to believe that I can do that too. I watch BTD to remind myself that I can be the person that I want to be. Thank you so for letting us in and for giving so much. It's truly and deeply appreciated!! Great insights on achieving work-life balance, especially the 'Planned Pleasure' tip. For entrepreneurs, remember that integrating short, focused periods of work with frequent breaks (the Pomodoro Technique) can skyrocket productivity without burning out. And never underestimate the power of saying 'no' to low-impact tasks to protect your time and energy.

I watch the vlogs because i like to see the ins and outs of your life as a successful entrepreneur and CEO. It’s inspiring to see how you prioritize and manage your day whilst being real about your feelings and emotions throughout the process. Your authenticity shines through and busta said it best. You make people feel comfortable just by being you. You and your team live up to that high expectations that the podcast keeps aspiring to reach again and again. Well done to you all. Also, your cameraman is wearing a GREY colored shirt.

The ripcord is an excellent device. My previous life as a trauma counsellor (not having the luxury of a PA) I would staple several pages of my diary together. This stopped me booking any new clients in and to schedule existing clients after my mental health days. Apart from sleep I found this the single most effective behaviour to keep me enjoying my work. I would do this every six to eight weeks. saved me having to cancel appointments 🎉

Hi Steven, this channel has been so inspiring for me, I love the way you intersect advice into sections of the video and it's not all loaded on us at once. I have adhd and since seeing your video about getting diagnosed it gave me a reminder that I can achieve hard things and that my goals aren't impossible because there's people out there that have had this condition and not let it stop them! This episode in particular was really helpful for me. And I think Will was wearing a GREEN top :)

  • @adventureswithsuzanna5667

I watch the Diary Because you have validated me. Because of you I have found freedom in myself, confidence, freedom to Purdue my goals, everything before now was highy oppressive. I've discovered many of the things You Speak about on the podcasts all on my own, eating habits, fasting, food exercise, sleeping habits, it was like my body speaks to me, so I formulated all those things for myself, no one around me understood, but I just lived in my shell of what made sense to me, worked for me & produced superior results. I watched you & discovered there was nothing wrong with me. And now Behind the DOAC is my favorite as each week you drop videos relating to what I am working on that weeek. Just very inspirational. I don't comment each week but often I have, I haven't skipped a single Behind DOAC video. But this is the main reason I watch week by week. Value, mind that understands, relates, provides options to navigate, etc + more, in addition i understand me more as I relate to issues you deal with.

Hey DOAC Team! I’m watching these series because when I’m learning from YT videos about entrepreneurship, they often provide the great value, but don’t set the right emotional expectations. If they tell you it’ll be hard, it’s hard to imagine what hard feels like.
I watch these series because by not cropping this “boring”, low information content of behind the scenes you are helping me to set the right emotional expectations. You are helping me see that I’m not the one who is experiencing this.
And let’s go with color Pink

You go so far into experimenting and trying new things all the time in your work. Love watching your videos and try to work out your next moves.
Also I love watching someone live their fully deserved best life. Makes me motivated to keep working hard towards my dreams and keep trying new things without the fear of failure. Your don’t try you don’t succeed.
On the other note, personally I would not cut out all the “not so perfect” moments from your video. You can’t have only highs, as their will always be something better and something worse.
Seeing your imperfections that’s what makes the viewers to connect with you. Watching you getting your words out wrong or mucking around that’s what makes it relevant. Push it too far and the videos will end up looking unrealistic for the viewers.
    Just keep being you.

I watch Behind the diary because the whole brand has developed me as a person.
Whether it’s learning a new way to think or a way to listen, it’s made me a better communicator, better at conversations which in turn has a positive effect on my business.
As a video creator myself I love the vlog format and it’s nice to see how you apply yourself in life and live the ideas and values you share in your books.
Will must be wearing grey. That seems to be his go to.

I remembered watching the interview with Busta Rhymes (one of my fav rappers of all times) and I left you game home the space to open up about the pain. You also did the same with Jada. I like watching these behind the scenes because you have so many things going on with all of your businesses I’m like how does he find the time. If you can make the time for the things that fuels you, I can. I’ve been burnout from jobs and some I ended up quitting. My Heath is more important to me. The takeaway for me this week are find the thing that you enjoy so work doesn’t feel like a chore and get a whoop.
I’m very diligent about my sleep and taking to my friends about what’s stressing me out. I think the whoop might help me in other areas in my life.
    Thank you for sharing.

First I've gotta say I watch the videos because they are entertaining. Beyond that, I love to get a sneak peak into Steven's life, management style from teams to personal life. I also get to learn what things should be prioritize and see the subtle implementation of those priorites in life and business. I'm extremely grateful for the content and incredibly excited to see the continued growth of the channels and the team! As far as the color, I've gotta say Will/William is probably wearing A brown/beige color. Somewhat of a muted tone.

Great episode! Happy to see you address burn out, Steven. I've experienced burn out on multiple occasions; I think it is very common, particularly among highly driven individuals in their 20s. You often feel like you must have all of the answers and a clear and positive trajectory. I'm thankfully becoming much better at taking breaks and accepting uncertainty. Can't wait to tune in next week!!
    Was Will's shirt a deep navy/grey?

These are truly ground breaking vlogs, seeing the REAL real. Thank-you! From my Corporate desk I find your life FACINATING! Old school conditioning left me feeling like I am not the person who can live an "entrepreneurial" life, so much that I don't have a clue what my "thing" is. If only I could have experienced this kind of insight in my teens. Not too late though, just digging to find my "thing" ❤.
My heart is so happy for your South African experience, from a South African. Despite our social and political problems, this place is magic!! I truly hope you felt it! 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

Steven, when you started talking about getting the “retention/dwell time” data in advance, you and your team reminded me of my toddler, who I can best describe with three words - curiosity, fascination and obsession! If I had to guess, these are probably written all over the DOAC office as they seem to be the fountain of all success you guys have been reaping! I think it is a priceless lesson for all of us - instead of trying to be more like the C-suite suits running the world, let’s be more like the fearless toddlers recreating it👏🏼♥️

Thank you for acknowledging that parents have no control of their sleep time. It gives me such anxiety constantly seeing how bad sleep deprivation is for us humans, yet for us parents it’s a huge part of life especially with 2 under 3… I’ve felt very out of control of my life because of the severe sleep deprivation compared to my life before: I was a professional vocalist and thought I would handle baby sleep deprivation fine as I was used to being up all night, however I didn’t realise that yes I’d be up all night but I’d get zero sleep in the day either and be up from 6am everyday despite a sleepless night lol. For any other parents watching, you will make it through and you will be ok ❤

It really resonates that you don’t feel burnout when you do what you love as that’s where I want to get to ❤ would love to see more about the rest of the team behind DOAC because they’re also such a big part of it and inspiring for the young guns who want to be part of something big, but may not be so drawn to being an entrepreneur.
