First, because the production value is commendable. It’s hard. Not easy. &!! The content value is more than hard to convey, and you all do it so subtly yet so loud. Great job.
Because it reminds me of my London life before I became an unpaid carer to my 99 year old grandmother. What happens when you pull a pod episode? How do you manage the guest (and their PR team) - as a PR myself I'm curious :) And Los Angeles is my guess.
I watch because of the insight you are giving into the reality of leading at a high level, which reinforces goals I am working toward. It is reinforcing. My guess for where you'll be is Paris. What I'd like to see is more about the tools your team uses to communicate and structure across functions. How much are they empowered?

What I find most amazing is how gracefully you flow through such busy weeks. Between all the public talks, podcasts, flights, team meetings, personal life etc. you always seem to be so present, to really listen and uplift fans or team members around you and to take the time to leave some golden nuggets for the audience for the behind the diary. Truly inspiring! I'll take a guess and say that you may be in Barcelona. Cheers!

When two people are driven, confident, but settled you can spend months apart. When you find someone who is your lover, your back up and above all your friend, that’s how many successful life long relationships are made. You can both move through the different chapters of each of your lives together supporting each other. Deep down, you just know what you have, is more than casual body counts. STEVEN - I’m going to tell you something all your employees and hangers-on won’t: if you carry on in the manic way you are, you’ll be dead by 40 - then you’ll be known as the richest man in the graveyard. This way of life seems SO important to you, but it isn’t, trust me. Every time I watch your frenetic schedule it just makes me worry for you and I feel very sad that simple things like going for a walk with your partner, laughing at your froth ‘moustache’ in a coffee shop, watching a sunset and eating toast at midnight don’t even factor into your mindset. I must be the only person who watches DOAC who does NOT envy you one iota because my life and lifestyle - humble though it may be - is priceless.
I think you are going to Paris!! 🇫🇷 I love these vlogs!! This week I have reached a huge milestone in my business. A goal I have had for 5 years and this week I have hit it. Listening / watching / learning from you I know is a huge part of why I have been able to do that. THANK YOU.
LOVE the fact you rate in-person contact over Zoom contact. Whilst I so appreciate the availability of Zoom, it's so important to be in the same air space as other people. Energy of any person must be felt and it tells you far more than just the visual on a screen. Our bodies consist of multiple energy systems. They have 'conversations' with the energy systems of those we meet before we ever utter a word.
You still didn't make time for your girlfriend... you just want a faithful dog waiting for you for when you have a spare minute. It's a waltz, one step forward she with take a step back... duh

Thank you for opening up a little bit more about the difficulties of having a relationship with the busy schedule you have! Been loving the podcast for a long time and just recently starting viewing this channel and absolutely loving it so far. I think you are going to be in Johannesburg cause why not
While I agree with the sentiment of hard path vs easy path I'm not sure I agree with the comparison of studio vs zoom podcasts. I think most budding podcasters myself included would LOVE to do regular in person shows and see the benefits you outlines vs zoom or riverside. But the issue isn't laziness or easy path its you have a cache to your name that people travel from all over the world to see you. You have financial resources to the make your own studio or hire one out. If a smaller podcasts wants to get guests its either local and live or bigger guests over the internet or it just wont happen. I've done a few live shows and hands down its better but I don't make money from the show and spending £300+ an episode before editing is something I could not do weekly. Its not hard path easy path for many its finding a path to action
this is quite crazy. in my mind I was thinking about a situation regarding a friend that people will take the path of least resistance ... and within literally seconds I hear the exact same thing at 3:23!
I think since these are not fully in chronological order that it has to be the ski town in France that he took the DOAC team to celebrate 4million I think it’s Avoriaz cuz of a LinkedIn post I saw any way this was super great episode you always get me amped and thinking 🔥🔥

I think you're going to Manchester! I personally watch these vlogs because they give me an insight into the life of a CEO. Cool, its edited an everything but it has something raw and real about it which i absolutely love. I've been watching Dragons Den since the age of 10 and listening to the podcast since around 13/14 years old - (15 now!). Hopefully get to work with one of the dragons when i'm older or even become one 🙏.

I agree that taking the harder path yields more rewards. However, the harder path looks different from one person to the next depending on circumstances and resources. For someone else, a zoom podcast might be the harder path. I’m glad you chose the path you chose as I get a lot from your podcast, but I do get a lot from others as well that are on zoom

This episode jarred with me a bit this week. Maybe, it was on part the discussion of your relationship? - I think it appeared to me as a bit of a soundbite: not the content, but the way it was put out there. I'm wondering if maybe a spliced clip of your g/f 's response would have 'softened' my response slightly? However, my reaction always says more about me, and where I'm at - so, thanks for the opprtunity for self reflection. Interesting hearing you discuss the notion of the 'path of least resistance', From my experience, it referred to the observation of taking the most direct path to a goal - walking through a park, some folk follow the designated, long form path, others just cut straight across, ie overcoming obstacles and the 'we've always done it this way' mindset. I think it was popular as a fin-de-siecle 20th century phrase - the landscape was different back then... So, kind of, same same but different 😉 Thanks, always, for your time, energy and sharing your insight 🙏

This title was soooo misleading. I thought you'd share some insights about managing your relationship despite the crazy schedule. You let us have a glimpse of vulnerability with your talk of how you solidified things after a 20 hour flight across the world...but most of the podcast was more business as usual. However, I did appreciate the beautiful sentiments shared from the snippet of the interview with the guest host. Always love the insights shared. Maybe pick somewhere different to go to like Japan :-) just cause.

Why do l find this channel stress-causing? I won’t subscribe because l need less of this kind of material which isn’t really relevant to my life and spiritual development . Also l try not to charge my mobile space too much and save battery. Also If l subscribe it means l will keep receiving notifications which are distracting when l already have trouble focussing.I congratulate Steven on his success but find the ego-fueled activity un-enriching. Sorry!

I think most budding podcasters myself included would LOVE to do regular in person shows and see the benefits you outlines vs zoom or riverside.
But the issue isn't laziness or easy path its you have a cache to your name that people travel from all over the world to see you.
You have financial resources to the make your own studio or hire one out.
If a smaller podcasts wants to get guests its either local and live or bigger guests over the internet or it just wont happen.
I've done a few live shows and hands down its better but I don't make money from the show and spending £300+ an episode before editing is something I could not do weekly.
Its not hard path easy path for many its finding a path to action

this is quite crazy. in my mind I was thinking about a situation regarding a friend that people will take the path of least resistance ... and within literally seconds I hear the exact same thing at 3:23!

I personally watch these vlogs because they give me an insight into the life of a CEO. Cool, its edited an everything but it has something raw and real about it which i absolutely love. I've been watching Dragons Den since the age of 10 and listening to the podcast since around 13/14 years old - (15 now!). Hopefully get to work with one of the dragons when i'm older or even become one 🙏.

I agree that taking the harder path yields more rewards. However, the harder path looks different from one person to the next depending on circumstances and resources. For someone else, a zoom podcast might be the harder path. I’m glad you chose the path you chose as I get a lot from your podcast, but I do get a lot from others as well that are on zoom

Maybe, it was on part the discussion of your relationship? - I think it appeared to me as a bit of a soundbite: not the content, but the way it was put out there. I'm wondering if maybe a spliced clip of your g/f 's response would have 'softened' my response slightly?
However, my reaction always says more about me, and where I'm at - so, thanks for the opprtunity for self reflection.
Interesting hearing you discuss the notion of the 'path of least resistance', From my experience, it referred to the observation of taking the most direct path to a goal - walking through a park, some folk follow the designated, long form path, others just cut straight across, ie overcoming obstacles and the 'we've always done it this way' mindset. I think it was popular as a fin-de-siecle 20th century phrase - the landscape was different back then...
So, kind of, same same but different 😉

This title was soooo misleading. I thought you'd share some insights about managing your relationship despite the crazy schedule. You let us have a glimpse of vulnerability with your talk of how you solidified things after a 20 hour flight across the world...but most of the podcast was more business as usual. However, I did appreciate the beautiful sentiments shared from the snippet of the interview with the guest host. Always love the insights shared. Maybe pick somewhere different to go to like Japan :-) just cause.

Why do l find this channel stress-causing? I won’t subscribe because l need less of this kind of material which isn’t really relevant to my life and spiritual development . Also l try not to charge my mobile space too much and save battery. Also If l subscribe it means l will keep receiving notifications which are distracting when l already have trouble focussing.I congratulate Steven on his success but find the ego-fueled activity un-enriching.
