I like that project. I have seen a lot of young people, guys and girls around 20 to 30 years, that can't even handle a drill. In 9 or 10th grade we worked on projects out of wood. The teacher cut himself 3 times with a circular table saw, the whole thing was just a chaos. We need more professionals in schools like shown in the video, and not only for girls.
Yea, I was in my father's engineering firm and there was a new employee who had graduated university with a degree in D+T. He didn't know how to use a lathe... I'm 16 and I could probably take one apart and piece it back together xD
