Hmm, I use paper at the end of the clean up but never thought to fold a channel and do the gold tap. Love it. Thanks for the tip Gary. I never did like using a blue bowl. 🇺🇸👍😎⛏
Sir gray i am watching your videos since one year and also learning from your videos, now i started gold prospecting. Sir your videos are very informative helpful for me gray thanks
Yep, nice keeping the vids coming Gary. Perfect time now to head out before rains start. I'm waiting for more rain all creeks and rivers running pretty dry in az.
Do you have a video with your "End of the Year Bowl" clean up? The small stuff seems to be the real time consuming and delicate process. Love the videos Gary.
morning gary , thanks for the tips on the black sand nightmare problem , sure seems easy doing it dry. and it was nice to finally meet ya this past weekend. heavy pans we dont need to say to you. your pans are always heavy. lol. so i will say see ya next time.
Sawyer, try using a cloth or paper towel with a rubber band around the magnet. once magnetized, shake it into a holding rubber tube. it will get most of the magnet particles. i rather air dry the sand since i have time or let the sun dries it. put it in a black pan since black absorbs heat and dries faster.
Hey Gary thanks for putting in the time with your videos, watching your paper trick made me smile and think of another time and place, my cousin had a 50 ton/hr. dryblower in West Australia. It's finally stopped raining in Tasmania, rivers are down, so our first sniping trip on friday, I can feel the gold fever easing already. That's some bowsprit and mizzen boom on the schooner.
We are planning a trip from Alaska to New Zealand next year and I’m hoping since we will have already traveled that far to prospect we may as well hit Australia/Tasmania. Would love to snipe some gold down that way.
I've always wondered where did you come up with the channel name"two toes"?? Anyhow love your videos, keep em coming please I can't get out prospecting as much as I'd like, your videos hold me over in between trips to the mountains!!!
The whole RUclips idea was started by my son Joe. After he got out of the Marines he built a rock crawler, every now and then I put a picture of it in the intro. The original plan was to make a channel that had 4 wheeling and prospecting. The Two Toes idea came from the fact that a mountain goat can go anywhere, hence the goat and the name Two Toes.
good job Gary once again, now get out there & get some more gold, so much fun and informative watching your vids, makes me want to get out there, but work comes first. Thank you, Serg
was out didnt expect to find anything old claim sign in that area (santa ana mountains) worth swinging the gold monster see what happens like the keene black sand magnet. have a good day.
Thanks for all your effort making informative videos. I've seen some of them multiple times although I don't always click on the like button. You deserve lots of likes so I'm going to correct that. Keep up the good work
I'm lazy. I just dump my concentrates through a 30 mesh, pan what sticks and then let my blue bowl do the rest. P.S. That nifty treasure map is looking patty slick on the wall in your gold room.
One of my first mentors taught me never to heat concentrates indoors to dry it in case there's mercury in it, so I never have. I have brought back cons from Coulterville that had so much mercury you'd see it bubbling out of the black sands while you panned. Other than that great video as always.
Low heat on a stove top is fine. You don't want to roast your material inside but a low heat dry over a stove is fine. The issue I have always been told was the possibility of arsenic poisoning not mercury. I would think all the gold would be bound up in the mercury if there was that much.
@@PHUCKyoutube689 "At room temperature, exposed elemental mercury can evaporate to become an invisible, odorless toxic vapor. If heated, it is a colorless, odorless gas" from www.epa.gov/mercury/basic-information-about-mercury.
I am new to prospecting, and am finding lots of gold smaller than a grain of river sand using my jewellers loop, what size mesh would you use to recover it....Thanks Gary.
Have you ever done a video on running your end of the year black sand pan with all the fine gold in it? If not what is your best cleanup or how much do you usually get from your end of season pan?
I will be doing my end of the year video - Jan 3 rd. I clean up all the concentrated and do a year total on the gold I found. Anything cool I found during the year will be included.
Gary sells them from his on-line store. Click the store address just below the video on your screen. He only sells thru USA tho. He doesn't ship international.😌
Easy as pie looks like about 2.3 grams I’m ready to watch the video…..POST IT ALREADY lol just kidding thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏻👊🏻 p.s. nice fish and jeep

Blue bowl work great, but I don't have the patience to run one. lol
Selling my blue bowl now 😂😂😂
My favorite gold videos. From intro music to the weigh- in.
Me too, Gary was my first RUclips channel I followed years ago.
Morning Gary, I like that process.

Love all the videos, this one had more for me. Your opening pictures I was born and raised in Lone Pine. I miss Mt. Whitney.
I used to go down there every year and hang-glide for a week.

Thanks Gary. I'll get on my black sands right now. Learning more from you than anyone else on U Tube.

We just got a 100 year flood here in BC, Canada, things are messed right up! That said it's gonna be a good year for gold once the water goes down!

That will be my first video in 2022
That set of coho's looked real nice Gary. Thanks for sharing, Best wishes from Roy Kasper, Sharon's Hubby.
I always classify dry before I do a cleanup I like it better than wet. 👍
Really nice salmon in the intro high five
U never need a hook for me to watch your show Gary one of the top prospector channels on RUclips
Wow! Thanks for sharing Gary. Now I've got to try that paper channel trick - heck of a lot easier and faster than the blue bowl. 👍⛏💰

I was eyeballing that Schooner as well, hope you have a great season in Tassie! Best Regards from Oregon!

Interesting. Think I am going to try your method. Looks like it's better at getting the fines than my 'wet' methid... quicker and cleaner too.

I love the simplicity and the dedication. I’m afraid we occasionally are less prudent with our fines.

Love that process Gary! Thanks for that!!
Great video. I guess I will have to go out and run some buckets!
i would like to catch gold in a ten mesh!
I love how you retain better than 99.9% of your gold. Just wish I could acquire some mercury.
Thanks. Great, understandable process. Clear and concise…LG
