Shout out to studio mappa's team because Jesus, the amount of work that had to be put into this season with very little time was crazy. The staff didn't even know that the show would start airing when it did!

The Titans appearances follow set rules. Regardless of the users age, being an infant or a elder (gender plays no role in it either), if they hold the colossal titan, it will be 60m and be like bertolts. Same applies to the other 8, the armored titan will have its armor, the attack will be sexy ;) and the jaw will have its claws and jaw. Their appearance is based on those rules, and what the users “pure” titan looked like. Erens had a messed up jaw and pointed ears, so when he got the attack titan, his titan inherited the same jaw and pointed ears his pure titan had, and it took the 15m height and muscular physique of the attack titan.
Ymir's didn't, but she didn't know how to use it properly since she didn't get any of Marcel's memories of how it worked, so instead it functioned exactly like her original titan form, which was already small and fast. Marcel, Porko, and ???? on the other hand did know how to use it and had training or inherited the knowledge how to activate the hardening on the claws and jaw.
You guys talk too much even when there's a hype scene. Actually, you missed a lot of good scenes because you turn your heads and keep talking to the person next to you.
I actually thought so too, excited for new reactors but their number just makes it easy to lose focus , talking about reiners facial hair when he's having a flashback to the paradis walls. Tbh i kinda liked it more before but good reaction nevertheless. I'm just worried that this season has a lot of low key moments that actually requires lots of focus.
The only draw back from having so many people on here which happens with every other channel and other people have pointed out in the comments is that so much meaning is lost from the episode with everyone always talking and joking about stuff that has nothing to do with the show. It's just an observation that I'm sure you'll all see pointed out more often.

Just for context about baby titan, even when Bertholdt was a kid his titan was still the same size. So a baby would probably be the same size as the titan power they have.

This is an interesting fan theory but this has never been mentioned in the story at all. The reason why zeke is older than the other shifters is *Spoiler Alert* he wasn't the best recruit for the titan program and was not part of the main battle group of titans to recieve powers. He inherited his power at an older age than most recruits from a shifter who at the time was not seen as a good titan to use in battle, the same as the cart titan, it was mainly used for other purposes until people revolutionised the way it could be used via mounting heavy artillery onto its back.
Wrong, looking at the anime so far, we know Eren Kruger was feeling sick/weak after transforming near the end of his lifespan. There is no mention of aging quicker

I think reacting as a big group kills the whole reaction in general, since it is more of a commentary than a reaction because everyone is talking and paying attention to whatever everyone says, you tend to miss details or important things the characters say or imply and not get the whole mood of the scene, since you don’t properly hear the music or the tone of the voices, just reading subs while everyone commentates.
I agree 100%. I will say, it's awesome to see some new faces to The React Pack. But it definitely kills the reactions. Now they are more focused talking to each other and joking around. It's cool to watch the groups dynamic but it definitely takes away from the genuine reactions.

The funny thing is... that the writer didn't plan everything. He just went about writing the story and exploring and creating pretty much on the go. He had some sign posts, but a lot of it was just journey for him as well. He just did an excellent job in connecting all the dots.

yeah like, i already not only got spoiled the ending and a few other important moments, i literally saw manga parts. mangatards are so good at spoiling (often not even intentional, which is even worse smh) they can make you read the manga, without you wanting or even trying to read the manga. you can just scroll through instagram and some mangatard is literally just posting certain scenes and there is nothing you can do against it. best part, whenever i complain about mangatards spoiling shit, some mangatard appears and tries to spoil me, but fails cuz i always already have been spoiled about that. its funny, but also sad.

But it's certainly was revealed that the 145th king build the wall around 100 years befor current event. Grisha's father mentioned about 2000 years ago, this girl made a deal with the devil. The first episode was "To you, 2000 years..." So supposedly, titans have been used to conquer other races for almost 2000 years. That's a long ass time 😂 Looking at the nature of human, I believe both side of story is right. Giant human? Well, we can move the earth faster with titan. Well, we can also win the wars a lot easier with this giant human thing. So definitely used for both good and bad.
it hasn’t been 9 years. It’s been 4 years since Zeke, Bertholdt and Reiner lost to the scouts in shiganshina (in season 3). That’s why Zeke said “our defeat brought about this war Reiner”. What he meant by that was that they lost and failed to get the Founding Titan which is what lead to rival countries starting a war with Marley and attempting to take power from them. Which is also why Marley were so desperate to get the Founding Titan power from Eren - they needed it to strengthen their military. Instead they lost both the Female Titan and the Colossal Titan to the people of Paradis

Ep 1 is a bit confusing when trying to explain the timeskip cuz they mention a war that's been going on for 4 years and the Paradis operation 9 years ago. Season 4 starts 9 years from the start of Season 1 when Reiner, Bert, and Annie broke through Wall Maria but it's only 4 years after the end of Season 3 when the Scouts reach the sea.

It’s only symbolic of World War II era, i.e., the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei military goose step, quasi-Hindenburg airship, and atom bomb nuclear-like explosions. and of course, fans can take it as they want but it leaves nothing for the imagination unless you have context behind them. Probably only the pure titan bombardment (which you’ve already seen from season 4’s pilot episode) As a side note, most Japanese are Germanphiles like the talented Mr. Isayama; hence, why so many anime have German related context and references to Germany, such as the characters hailing from a pseudo Germany during WW II era. Yeah in the reaction they mention that eldians are only monsters because the marleyans use them as such. However we know the eldian empire has been using titans as weapons for close to 20x as long. So while it’s hard to say modern eldians are to blame it’s also hard to blame the world for hating eldians

From what I've experienced: 1 reactor - too boring 2 reactors - great 3 reactors - great 4 reactors - good if they manage to keep the conversation to the review part 4 + reactors - total chaos. People talking over each other and talking over the episode. Normally important details fly by their heads or it's the topic of 10 minutes of conversation during the reaction.
From the very beginning of this series I’ve felt like you guys are great reactors and I loved to watch through with you guys. But I feel as though there were times where you guys were so focused on theory crafting you sometimes missed lots of small moments that add a lot to the world and also explain many of the things your theorizing about. However I though it was fine because at least you were thinking deeply about the show. But now with the new crew I feel like there’s to much cross chat. It’d be one thing if you guys were theorizing but it was often about very inconsequential things. Still, I’m excited to see you guys witness the masterpiece that is this season and I hope this was just the hype for the new season spilling over!

it hasn’t been 9 years. It’s been 4 years since Zeke, Bertholdt and Reiner lost to the scouts in shiganshina (in season 3). That’s why Zeke said “our defeat brought about this war Reiner”. What he meant by that was that they lost and failed to get the Founding Titan which is what lead to rival countries starting a war with Marley and attempting to take power from them. Which is also why Marley were so desperate to get the Founding Titan power from Eren - they needed it to strengthen their military. Instead they lost both the Female Titan and the Colossal Titan to the people of Paradis
I see the guy is tech savy. Calling MEC's cannons howitzers is technically correct because they are Soviet M-30 Howitzers posing as anti-titan cannons because of their high 122mm caliber.

Ep 1 is a bit confusing when trying to explain the timeskip cuz they mention a war that's been going on for 4 years and the Paradis operation 9 years ago. Season 4 starts 9 years from the start of Season 1 when Reiner, Bert, and Annie broke through Wall Maria but it's only 4 years after the end of Season 3 when the Scouts reach the sea.

Rest assured, the intro is safe. It’s only symbolic of World War II era, i.e., the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei military goose step, quasi-Hindenburg airship, and atom bomb nuclear-like explosions. and of course, fans can take it as they want but it leaves nothing for the imagination unless you have context behind them. Probably only the pure titan bombardment (which you’ve already seen from season 4’s pilot episode)
As a side note, most Japanese are Germanphiles like the talented Mr. Isayama; hence, why so many anime have German related context and references to Germany, such as the characters hailing from a pseudo Germany during WW II era. (Valkyria Chronicles, Yoûjo Senki, to name two relatively recent ones)

Probably the same one who told them not to watch season 2's. The only one which shows a little of what happens is season 3 p2, but I think the hype and little foreshadow of the events to come makes it worth for a much better experience overall

The Eldians had an Empire for like two thousand years in which they basically oppressed everybody else.
Yeah in the reaction they mention that eldians are only monsters because the marleyans use them as such. However we know the eldian empire has been using titans as weapons for close to 20x as long. So while it’s hard to say modern eldians are to blame it’s also hard to blame the world for hating eldians
I liked it more when it was just 2 people. Just my opinion tho.

From the very beginning of this series I’ve felt like you guys are great reactors and I loved to watch through with you guys. But I feel as though there were times where you guys were so focused on theory crafting you sometimes missed lots of small moments that add a lot to the world and also explain many of the things your theorizing about. However I though it was fine because at least you were thinking deeply about the show. But now with the new crew I feel like there’s to much cross chat. It’d be one thing if you guys were theorizing but it was often about very inconsequential things. Still, I’m excited to see you guys witness the masterpiece that is this season and I hope this was just the hype for the new season spilling over!
