The Joey and Phoebe storyline would have been amazing! They had such good chemistry.
Joey and Phoebe > Ross and Rachel any day, I heard a rumor that it was talked about but directors denied it due to not wanting “all the friends to pair in relationships” when tbh That happens a lot in big friend groups 😂
But it would have been weird at the end that everyone in the group marries someone else in the group. The Show was about friendship

For Joey, I only can see Monica as a partner... Joey did not have any chemistry with all 3 of them.. Rachel and Joey also seemed too forced.. So what happened was perfect.... Though, Rachel and Ross toxic relationship was too elongated... Both did not learn for all those years.. That was too complicated.. I think none stays in relationship like that.. So many break-up and patch ups..

Joey ends up becoming a pretty successful soap actor, Phoebes massage business gets pretty lucrative, and Monica's apartment was rent controlled plus Ross is the only one that doesn't have a roommate that lives in an expensive area....... Monicas rent controlled and rachel is her roommate, joey is an actor which pays enough that along with Chandler's statistical job they can swing it. Also apparently he has super savings. Rose worked at a museum and then as a professor. Not minimum wage either job at all. Pheobe is a certified masseur so im almost certain she was making more than enough a week to afford her place.

There was a Joey's series after Friends and I believe that's the reason why, none of the other characters are on the series and he was still the same character as in Friends (flirting and that with women) so I believe that they wanted to keep it that way and that's why they didn't end up together

I love Joey Phoebe as best friends, not as lovers, and I shipped Joey Rachel from the beginning of S1E1, and fortunately, we got to see Joey fall in love with Rachel. Thanks to the showrunners, they did not change Joey Phoebe's storyline. 😅

The only thing amazing about this show is that it was such a huge success. Don't get me wrong, lots of great ideas, very funny at times, but nowhere near giants like Frasier or That '70s Show or the original Roseanne from the 90s.
