They were on a break. What Ross did wasn't right but you can definitely see how it all happened. Especially with all his insecurities etc. Once he called Rachel and heard Mark was with her in the apartment, the anger just grew and the rest is history. They had so many chances to work it out but the writers decided to drag it out as much as possible. I think the writers definitely made a mistake in not having them reunite in season 9. It was time and we could have had a wedding in season 10. However, obviously super happy they were together in the end. She got off the plane!!
The editing here is just brilliant.. it actually feels like Ross and Rachel are narrating their own story to their kids after 20 years..
I kinda hope they don’t do that. Cause then the whole thing with Ross and the copy will come up and that whole argument would start again.

@Henrique Oliver Another reason why Friends writers, producers and director kept going forward with it. If Jennifer and David had *no* chemistry or potential ... they would have gone to Monica & Chandler immediately, as an example. So, Rachel and Ross were solid.

Sometimes I feel that these Ross-Rachel moments from Friends are the most romantic scenes ever.
Some of their scenes aren't even meant to be that all-out giggly but because of the chemistry between Jen & David, it became sooo romantic.
I remember seeing an interview with Jennifer where she even said that she loved doing scenes with David because they were so romantic, and now we all know why. They really had feelings for each other.

Ross was the kindest friend. He was really underappreciated.
He kissed Joey to help him, he drove to help the others when they were out of gas in the middle of nowhere( and by the way, I think they were really bad friends to leave Ross alone. You could see how hurt he was when he was at Carol's. One of them should have stayed with him).
He skipped Discovery Channel shoot to take care of Rachel when she had a fractured rib, bought Joey that infamous fake dog, took care of Marcel, talked her ex wife back into getting married and gave her away at the wedding when her own family had abandoned her.
He offered to loan Monica money when she was broke and back at their childhood house he offered up some of his own childhood memorabilia so she wouldn't get upset that hers was ruined, he got the Sting tickets for Phoebe and that bike of course( the most wholesome episode).
He was so kind to that cookie selling girl, he let Rachel win at poker even though he is so competitive, he ended segregation in the museum cafeteria and went to sit with Joey, He agreed to not date anyone while Rachel was pregnant in order to be there for her completely, when Emily asked him to not see Rachel anymore he was gonna leave the group so Rachel wouldn't have to even though he had known the others longer while Rachel was trying to get Phoebe to leave the group with her. And I'm sure he did more things that I can't remember right now. Sure, he could be annoying sometimes, but he will forever be the best friend in the group for me. He was always there for all of them and had their backs.
And I don't understand the people hating on Ross because of some mistakes. No one is perfect.
The only fault he had is his inability to lose an argument and take the blame

@@prashanth2310 Well, they were on a break, soooo.... but yeah, he really couldn't just let things be. Another example of that is when he discusses esoterics & evolution with Phoebe. And no, that's not his only flaw. As Hamid said, nobody's perfect. And that's okay. We all can be bad sometimes, and just because Ross had bad moments like we all do doesn't make him a bad person. He has a big heart, he's very caring, a great friend as Hamid pointed out, and much more.

Rly ?? I hated their whole storyline after Ross cheated on her . Rachel became so selfish and jealous and indecisive and Ross instead of sorting his feelings out was just moving on to a new girl and then ruining the relationship in the most epic way .
I am not saying the whole storyline was affected and Friendswas still great . Ross was still my favorite and so was Rachel . But their relationship toegther was just toxic and sad to watch . After watching it for the first time I mostly skip it everytime .
I love Ross and Rachel. I also married my Ross. We were a group of friends on our 20s. We broke out but loved each other throughout the years. 4 1/2 years later we went back together. 30 years married and counting.

Ross and Rachel will always be the greatest TV couple ever to me. They were never originally meant to be the central romance of the show, but once the creators noticed David and Jennifer's magical chemistry (which we now know was REAL!), they just had to go with it, which is the best decision they ever made. Yes, Ross and Rachel have their ups and downs, but you can't write interesting and exciting stories without conflict and back in the '90s when you could only watch one episode a week, Ross and Rachel would leave us on the edge of our seats! It was a rollercoaster of emotions! They made mistakes, but like people in real life, they were flawed, nuanced and complex and because it's a sitcom, it was also exaggerated. To call them toxic is such a surface level and narrow-minded analysis to me.
From "Back in high school, I had a major crush on you" to "I got off the plane", this couple's incredible story spans the whole 10 seasons of the show and coupled with David and Jennifer's electrifying, off-the-charts, magical chemistry, there's a reason why they're so iconic. It took them a while to get there, but they eventually matured and learnt to go after what they truly wanted, which was each other. Nothing on the show was ever going to top Ross and Rachel getting back together, so they saved the best moment for last.
Try to answer: why from the very 1st pilot episode they considered Rachel as a bride for Ross and his confession about his crush since high school? Contradicts to that creators/writers noticed their magical chemistry while shooting episodes.
@@peace-to-the-world I think Ross and Rachel were only meant to be a minor B-plot romance. When they saw just how powerful the chemistry was, it completely changed the show. Monica and Joey were originally meant to be the central romance.

@Not Telling You would be playing with fire though. A relationship/romance is meant to be private and intimate. I don't think Jennifer and David would want to share it with the rest of the world. We were just lucky to get a taste of it in 1994-2004 after all, when they had to do it as Rachel and Ross on TV.
Whatever makes them happy as well you know. I'm not stopping anybody from doing the right thing. Like Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis did ... having their own reunion post-That 70s Show. So, it's not impossible or unlikely. It's up to what Jennifer and David want in the end ... and whether deciding to spend the rest of their lives together would be a good thing.

I know that's one thing that pissed me off the most about the show. I think they should have got back together as soon as Rachel found out she was pregnant with Emma or heck even before that. There should have been a Ross and Rachel wedding way before Monica and Chandler or Phoebe's wedding.

Forever THE Friends couple. David and Jennifer’s chemistry was out of this world. And the fact that they channeled their real feelings for each other into Ross and Rachel just made it all so real and so natural. Their break up scene in season 3 felt painfully real and David and Jennifer both admitted they were devastated filming it.
As for Joey and Rachel: I’ve recently come across a comment where someone said Joey is better for Rachel because he “thinks she’s perfect”. Except… she’s not? Ross knows that and loves her exactly for who she is. Flaws and all. And vice versa.
The Joey and Rachel thing was a big wtf for me. I still can’t believe that was a thing. It annoyed me back then and it still annoys me now lol. Season 9 was such a waste in terms of Ross and Rachel. They really should have reunited them that season and set up a wedding in season 10. It would have made so much more sense!

This show was just SO Satisfying because of the depth of these characters, the complexity of their relationships - (all attesting to excellent writing) - & the top-notch delivery of these skilled actors! Every scene & every show STILL brings big laughs & a huge smile to my face! Great compilation & so fun to watch it again! If I could make a TV channel that played Friends 24 hours a day, I would AND I'd watch it! What a treasure this show was!

When this show aired I didn't watch it because it was popular. I was too cool. Now I watch it every night before bed. It brings me to a time where the world was a much simpler place. It relaxes me. Best show of all time in my opinion. RIP James Michael Tyler (7th Friend).

there were lots of funny events,
but there was this Rachel+Ross dramatic thread in the background all along throughout the seasons & episodes.
We were continuously rooting for these two to be a couple and stay together,
and our heart was torn every time when we saw them struggle to get together, stay together, or get together again.
Does anybody else watch the Joey and Rachel scenes and cringe, because I know I do. I'm so glad the writers and producers came to their senses and stopped that because I swear if they would have ended up together I probably would've stopped watching Friends. When Rachel walks into Ross's apartment and says I got off the plane, one of the best moments in TV history 👍👍

Maybe Chandler and Monica in some ways were a couple more mature and responsible but they have never reached the level of chemistry of these two, because David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston had a feeling that crossed the limit of a tv show,
the romantic tension in various scenes of the series was very emotional, for that Ross and Rachel are the most imperfect realistic couple in tv history, no doubt about it.

David did a phenomenal job.. The character was made for David and he nailed it.. The chemistry between Ross and rachel is magical.. Such a beautiful chemistry ,no one could reach to that level. Laugh and pain and again laugh whole season that is something huge.. Just like that 18 pages letter front and back!!
I don't know why everyone were saying some bad things for David before, I didn't saw any flaws with him.. He did that role perfectly.. Just perfectly nothing less nothing more.. When I was watching friends I was so into it.. I wanted more.. I just want more of friends.. I never wanted them to end this series.. This was not just a eentertainment show it was a bigger than that.. It was a emotion.. And everybody did their job brilliantly.. Words are short to praise the F. R. I. E. N. D. S.

After all they been through I was amazed that they brought them back together at the end on this show. Rachel and Ross are my two favorite characters. Chandler and Monica were my most as well favorite characters on this show.

I feel they would be perfect for each other in real life. David would treat Jennifer really well as you can see on and off screen how much they adore and respect each other. The fact that they once had a big crush on each other shows they still have feelings for each other as when they were talking on the reunion the chemistry is still so much there. You never know they may realize one day they are right for each other and finally get together
After watching friends reunion them telling that they had a crush with each other but didn't do anything about it cause didn't have a time to give it a shot because at some point either of them is in a relationship . Is like them as Rachel and Ross where Everytime its complicated the only difference is in the show they really end up together even have little cuddles after every scene 🥺♥️

I can't help but too felt heartfelt and teary eyed due to Rachel and Ross love story as it's so raw, pure, genuine, deep, believable, relatable, and emotional as they been through up's and down's but despite that they never stop loving each other truly and dearly as they are meant to be together forever. 😭🥺😞 Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer both did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Rachel Green and Ross Geller as they both put tons of emotion and depth into their roles.😍👍😎💯🥺😭😞
I figured this was just some random guy on RUclips but makes sense it’s HBO. Brilliantly put together. Bravo. Also, when Joey and Phoebe got so excited when Ross said I want to be with her and I’m going after her, was the best part of this video. Real friends want friends to be Happy!

I know they have great chemistry as Ross and Rachel, but the writers made them have a toxic relationship so the show could keep going.
But the confession that they have crush on each other but hold their feelings, makes me obsessed with Jen and David.
Friends & Ross and Rachel will forever be my favorite show and couple. Nothing can top these two.
I love them together and as friends. They are entertaining to watch. Cried so any times when they broke up and the last episode.
The reunion got me emotional too. I just enjoy their story :)
