    I've been waiting for this video. You did a good job. I prefer this battery over the conventional lead acid battery. This one acts like a supercapacitor / battery hybrid.

    *I made one like yours. it worked good but it is dead by next morning. Needs way more PbO2 in order to hold charge for longer.*

      No brother probably your separator wasn’t good enough and probably it short circuited Please check it out. (Note: you get better charge holding result buy using more PbO2)

    Hi Friend! Best video i ever met. I think black /gray color negative lead plate is coated with carbon graphite and adhesive. As far as I understand positive plate would be coated oxide naturally while charging process.
    However in the relistic big current battery repair videos we see the positive lead coated with the red material like a mud or soil or cement. Please advise the details on which chemicals we may use to coat the positive plate or just melting the lead in the water is enough.

    why you coated / applied the carbon over the lead plate for only one surface instead of both sides? Thanks

      Thanks my friend for this nice comment. Actually l explained in the video on the white paper on figure. Because of the working principle of ultra batteries we coated only negative plate👍

      The carbon will simply convert to CO2 on the positive plate when recharging.

      @@joyofelectronics9782 In your Hybrid Supercapacitor video(Lead Hydroxide/Activated Carbon) it is stated that it's only 100 Farad. That seems very weak compared to the pure lead acid battery you made(with spent negative battery plates). I would have thought that the capacity of the hybrid Super Capacitor would have been much greater.

      @@joyofelectronics9782 Understood, but the chemestry(Sulfuric Acid electrolyte) and the Positive plate(Lead Dioxide) are basically the same as the Lead Acid Battery, could it be the Activated Carbon? Does The Ultra Battery you built behaves like a Hybrid Super Capacitor or more like the pure lead acid battery?

      @@nicamarvin hybrid Supercapacitors more likely behave like Supercapacitors. That’s why they can’t store same amount of energy as batteries. The difference between hybrid Supercapacitor and Supercapacitor is their operating voltage and partly capacitance. As you see the surface area of hybrid Supercapacitor’s plates are less than Supercapacitor.

    Would baking the plates after painting the active material on them, help?

      You don’t need to bake the materials. Just let it to dry.

      Charging voltage should stable at 2.40 volts after increasing at that point. The voltage of the battery will increase of course

      @@amrradwan4279in this type of batteries the charging voltage increases as the battery is fully empty at the beginning. But it lasts very short time. This is the basic characteristics of these batteries.

      Yeah you are hell right😂 but sometimes it’s difficult to work with gloves. However l washed my hands with plenty of water and soap right after the video 😂

      Nice demo and useful information for us, thank you for your efforts. From Jawaharlal Bharat INDIA 🙏. I saw you have connected the negative terminal with the centre positive, will it not discharge itself?. The two negative should have been soldered as one Neg and centre as positive.

      Actually l didn’t connect the negative to positive. I connected the negatives together but when l applied the active material to the negative electrodes l made a mistake. So when l solder the negative electrodes due to their positioning it seems as if l connect negative electrode to the positive one☺️
