    I have been doing this for my whole life for crappie fishing

  • @FishingWithChris_Tv
    @FishingWithChris_Tv 2 месяца назад +17

    This technique is insanely good for crappie with downsized baits. I’ve used it so much over the last few years throughout the entire year that it’s second nature. I usually start as low as 1/80 or 1/64oz to find the depth the crappie are at and stick with that weight, it keeps the bait in the strike zone longer and stays out of snags better.

    hey Matt! So glad you took the time to go over your confidence baits/heads on this technique. It’s definitely taking over and most ppl think it’s only for ffs. Like you said, wintertime lighter weight and slower movement are key. It’s also nice the 90degree line tie allows you to cast and drop on them. 👍🙏

    When a minnow is injured or dying they often turn on their side when attempting to swim, this is why the bait works so well in my opinion, also there is a tiny jerk bait called the pin minnow by Yo-Zuri it's the smallest one of all this bait also turns on it's side when using it as a jerk bait. And will catch every fish in the lake including big bass at the right times.

      I have a special place in my heart for pins minnows and road runner jigs because of that lake.

    Those gammy heads come in 1/80th of an ounce difference or the owner 1/32 of an ounce differences that alone tells a lot about this technique

    This is a euphamism for "Forward Facing Sonar has Taken Over Bass Fishing."

    Why is this the hottest so called technique and since 1990's we put flukes on jig heads along with ball head no#2 hook and Zoom finesse worm green pumpkin. Been around forever, along with hair jigs

      Yep. Zoom fluke twitched on a jig head has been fished for decades. Apparently if you shake it…it becomes something new!

    lol before I watched the middle part where you mentioned viewers from Japan I was thinking exactly what you were saying. lol. Like this is way too heavy weights for actual mid strolling. lol

    The “teaching” made at 20:52 is why patterns like this get so over fished. If it’s THAT good, use it when you need it. Not saying keep it a secret but don’t abuse it either.

    Why is this called strolling? I have been doing this for 5 years and its always been called Twitching. This is how u fish a trout magnet in Ultralight fishing.

    I fished this style bait as a kid from the banks of everwhere and just burned it out..3/16 jighead and white curly tail..there really isnt anything new out there its just applied differently

    Am I the only one who had a bad experience with the range roller? Mine was dull after two 2 lbers.

      Thats definitely an odd experience. Owner isn't known for low quality hooks, you either got a dud or something else happened.

      I know. I've had nothing but good experience with Owner hooks until the range roller. It sucks though as the range roller jig heads are expensive @@tacticalbassin
