The effect you wished for Beat 'Em Up (1 damage to every enemy) is... "Ground Stomp" and it's equally awful (unless vs Ultron). That's a She-Hulk card, and Beat 'Em Up has a She-Hulk art and quote. Mmmhh start to see a pattern here
United We Stand is not awful. My wife runs it on Carol, and there are many times where you draw one random card near the end of a turn and there is nothing you can do with it. This card is a great 0 cost card to get a little healing out before you end your turn.
I use United we stand in my Spider-Woman deck, it adds to here power and cost only 1 card, which is how I build her, a lot of 0 cards, low cost ally and she is really powerfull this way :)
I could see trying to make Beat ‘Em Up work on Ultron but it’s just too situational. I could kind of see it when you knock him into Stage III on expert, but then the drones have 2 hp instead of 1 so it’s not going to help that much.

I agree with you, but he plays standard/solo, where it won’t ever be very good. It’s much better in multiplayer where games are longer.
United We Stand is fine in Spider-Woman as a cheap aspect card for her ability and keeping the Captain Marvel ally around for another turn.
Beat 'Em Up can be used in a Vison Deck since it's a tactic you can still play it while intangible, but that's still a bit much

United we stand I feel could possibly do well in an X-23 deck healing honey badger.
