I think this settles it for me: A Perfect Grade Barbatos would be sexy as hell. You wouldn’t have to cover up all those pistons, they could work in even more detail than the already impressive Master Grade, and Mace-chan in 1/60 scale would be a sight to behold.
I bought this guy a couple weeks ago at my local Hobby store. Just finished it today, and I have to say. For a 1999 design of PG, it's rather impressive for its age. However I did custom paint mine to give it that much needed show/screen accuracy. And it turned out great. I used the Tamiya spray paint. Light gun metal for the inner frame and weapons. Bright mica red for the inner red parts, Metallic Black for the chest, knee and foot sections, and Pearl Light Red for the arms, legs, and head.
I never get tired by all the details and scenarios you go into with your reviews. Sure the PG Zaku isn't "perfect" but you really did a good job showcasing it's strengths, weaknesses, and quirks in a fair manner. It may not be perfect, but this old boy seem still seems like one hell of a unique and worthwhile kit.

Just ordered the standard green PG. First pg hoping the build goes well. I may or may not install leds into it. I think they're too bright. Only if I can dull the pink a bit. And I'm definitely going to weather it like an old army tank. Ive done this with the gashapon zaku heads and I have a pretty good green.
@@SixArmedSweater couldn't get the led mono eye to work. But the build was actually simple. Weathering and painting went well, and I've bought a 2nd one. I haven't gotten around to building it yet.

Hey Kakarot I've got questions how are certain mobile suits not able to use beam weaponry? Does beam rifles take power directly from the generator through a special port from the manipulators? Or does weapons install data from weapons like what the Gundam Unicorn did before he can use the beam gatling gun. Hope you include for the"Question of the week"
I think that it takes energy from a mobile suit to fire a beam rifle even if the beam rifle has its own power but that is used for its beam. Mobile suits with a small generator can't power a beam rifle while powering all the other systems and technology wasn't that advance so early zeon suits like it the zaku and Dom couldn't use beam weapons. And for the unicorn, those weapons were for best girl Marida's kyshatria and not for the unicorn, so the unicorn had to take a while to know how those weapons work and be able to fire them.
The answer is yes. The ability to use bean weaponry is dependent on the MS's generator output. A good example would be the Hi-Zack which could only use 1 beam weapon at a time and even then, the power output is lower compared to other MS.
How difficult were the LEDs in the kit? Other question: Is there an action base that is compatible with this kit? It doesn’t include one, so I’m curious if I can buy one separately.
to think about the original 70's 80's look, this thing can't have more detail , liner. i belive the philosophy of molding this kit is keep it the closet to original gundam series back then. they of course can provide more but omit it.
I'm working on the mg 2.0 right now and this is disappointing. It's a big hg appearance wise not what I'd expect from a pg. Also why doesnt it come with the bazooka. It's stock weapon on both the 1 and 2
In universe yes the bazooka is standard issue for the zaku in kit verse not every model is issued the full weaponry compliment sadly ( I'm building a mg RX78 "3.0" which is missing his hammer but I'll use a spare from the musha set )
