I am so glad that you make long-form RUclips videos as well. Hope we get a Push-Pull-Legs split video (or series) one day! Thank you for all the work, Max! I've recommended these to some of my friends.
I find that forearm exercises help with chiseling and slightly increasing forearm size, but forearm girth and overall size comes down to genetics and your natural frame size.
Train for armwrestling and you'll get serious forearm gains, regardless of overall size. I've seen 60kg armwrestlers with bigger forearms than some 80kg+ gym lifters.
I don’t agree with this. The smaller forearm muscles like the extensors do more of what you described, but pretty much anyone can put a ton of size on their wrist flexors and brachioradialis to get big forearms.
For the people who don't have a lot of space in their apartment and don't like the gym scene, this is perfect. I can do most of these workouts with a pair of dumbells or that little grip thing.
I have a question: Are ulner/radial deviations necessary/effective? And what about wrist rotations? and great video as always! Please do this for all muscle groups!
Thanks for these videos man they make my day and they really help me understand the muscles and what they do more so I can encorporate it in my workouts.
You have inspired me, thank you so fucking much man. Been watching your vids for a while now and I just instantly became interested. You're body goals dude. Good work, you're amazing.
Can you do one for chest as well Max? Jumped with excitement when i saw this video, love the biceps one and i employed some of the exercises in my workout as well like the Bayesian curl
So I was wondering, what is the difference between the hammer curl and the reverse curl? Both of these work the brachioradiialis, but is one more beneficial than the other? Trying to figure out which one I want to use for biceps and forearms.
Max I am beginner And I am confuse about one thing That is what should I do Should I follow pull push leg sequence Or should I train every mussle every day ??????? By the way i never go to gym yet Please reply
Thoughts on fat grips? I just don't have the time or energy to add all this volume to my routine. I do 4 hard sets of curls at the end of my pull day (in front of me one day and behind me the other) and my arms are toasted afterwards. I can't imagine adding *12* sets more lol. At least not with the intensity I like to train at. I just bought those 2.5 inch fat grips and do neutral grip pull ups and hope that's enough for my forearms not to lag behind. I also carry groceries + gym bag for 5 blocks 2-3 times a week.
I personally don't train forearms directly since I don't think they need the extra volume. Fat grips are a great addition to help shift emphasis onto your grip which can save some time in the gym. It sounds like your forearms are getting some extra work in addition to your pulling movements so you should be good.
@@RDS_Armwrestling To be clear it’s the curls I do with the grips. Everything else I do normal. The fat grips are really straining on the hand so it’s good with limited use.
I got a very very thin & bad forearm from genetics but I train them with these exercises I do find a slight improvement but I got a question the wrist part is still very thin is there a way to fix it??
You can beef up your forearms, but you can't really grow your wrists. There's not many muscles that lie beneath your wrist and it's primarily bone. So not much you can do. Don't worry tho, I have small wrists too and I can fit my fingers around them haha. I've always been self conscious about it, but trust me, it's not the end of the world.
Armwrestling training will definitely thicken the wrist. I've noticed considerable growth in the thickness of my wrist from training with armwrestling exercises, specifically wrist flexion and pronation. There is a pronator muscle on the underside of the wrist, and a whole bunch of tendons that can grow over time too. I don't do much for ulnar and radial deviation (which aren't mentioned in this video) but those may help with the width somewhat too.
I don't get it. When you say 2-3 sessions, you mean 3-4 sets of 3 exercises in each of those sessions? So up to 36 sets per week for the tricep alone??
Folks, those are not rubber weights as advertised like they have granulated metal in them look at the bad(ness) tension in his muscles it's unreal. Personally, I grew up on Weider weight system made with granulated sand in plastic weighted bells.
@@seven7-7-c2c depends on body composition. At your height, you could probably be absolutely jacked at 80kg. I'm 5 11, 83kg, maybe 12-15% bodyfat, if that's anything to help refer to.

One of the best forearm exercise is the close grip pullup, both anterior and posterior chains are working and it's a functual strength
I find that forearm exercises help with chiseling and slightly increasing forearm size, but forearm girth and overall size comes down to genetics and your natural frame size.
A lot of it is genetics, for sure. But it's never a reason to stop trying 😁
