      I don’t agree with this. The smaller forearm muscles like the extensors do more of what you described, but pretty much anyone can put a ton of size on their wrist flexors and brachioradialis to get big forearms.

    Thoughts on fat grips? I just don't have the time or energy to add all this volume to my routine. I do 4 hard sets of curls at the end of my pull day (in front of me one day and behind me the other) and my arms are toasted afterwards. I can't imagine adding *12* sets more lol. At least not with the intensity I like to train at.
    I just bought those 2.5 inch fat grips and do neutral grip pull ups and hope that's enough for my forearms not to lag behind. I also carry groceries + gym bag for 5 blocks 2-3 times a week.

    • @MaxEuceda7
      @MaxEuceda7  2 года назад +2

      I personally don't train forearms directly since I don't think they need the extra volume. Fat grips are a great addition to help shift emphasis onto your grip which can save some time in the gym. It sounds like your forearms are getting some extra work in addition to your pulling movements so you should be good.

    • @MaxEuceda7
      @MaxEuceda7  2 года назад +7

      You can beef up your forearms, but you can't really grow your wrists. There's not many muscles that lie beneath your wrist and it's primarily bone. So not much you can do. Don't worry tho, I have small wrists too and I can fit my fingers around them haha. I've always been self conscious about it, but trust me, it's not the end of the world.

      Armwrestling training will definitely thicken the wrist. I've noticed considerable growth in the thickness of my wrist from training with armwrestling exercises, specifically wrist flexion and pronation. There is a pronator muscle on the underside of the wrist, and a whole bunch of tendons that can grow over time too. I don't do much for ulnar and radial deviation (which aren't mentioned in this video) but those may help with the width somewhat too.

  • @diceball4ever
