Good to see game developers realized south america is more than just Brazil.
I only hope they look and behave like proper Colombians, Chilean and Peruvians, because let me tell you, Brazil has plenty of characters that are almost alien-like to our culture lol

I just love that the moment Azucena dodged Paul's attack the whole audience was just in a gasp and this continued on. She's such a cool newcomer to Tekken. Plus love that Peru is getting some love.

That's cool they kept the continuity in this game with Raven. Back in 7, Master Raven did say he needed more training. It paid off.

Being from Perú, I love this type of representation. Is not really that accurate (obviously), but the stereotypes are really well used (the alpacas, the music, the people just hanging around with typical clothing from de Andes, the Inca treasure below the surface xd), and the best part is that she really looks cool (the accent is neutral enough for a Peruvian) and seems fun to play.
And obviously it's always good to have more South American characters in fighting games (I love you Brazil, but cmon)

I think Bryan is a more mainly rival since Yoshi fights him for the sake of Dr.bosconovitch.
Nonetheless I like how Harada just make all these ninjutsu characters interact with each other, imagine the potential with their round start intro!
@@RifferFrog I thought lore wise they're rivals cuz iirc Yoshimitsu stole the sword called "Yoshimitsu" from Kunimitsu's family.
That's why in T7 Kunimitsu story is her taking the sword back.
Glad to see that Raven is back. It's nice seeing a new character being added to Tekken 8. Azucena reminds of La Mariposa from DOA.

Makes sense Azucena is a character that represents Peru, Japan has a huge influence in Peru, from politics to business, so it makes sense, I love the 'Machu Picchu' references in her stage from the llamas to the native people, but as a Latino I wonder how Colombians are feeling about this character representation of how Peru is being represented as a Coffee providing country when in Latin America Colombia is usually the country with the bragging rights 😂

Peruvian here, I loved how they handled the character however I indeed found it kinda rare that her thing was Coffee since that's something that's more related to Colombia, it would have been a bit better if it was Food instead of Coffee, since that's something we are more known for. None the less, the character still looks actually sick and fun to play as, so I'm looking forward to it.

UFO in the top left corner at 5:25. I've been to Peru, so I really love how detailed that stage is. The real Machu Picchu has a different layout and obviously doesn't have a coffee brewery on site (that'd be down in Aguas Calientes), but the architecture of the ruins is basically the same. The misty clouds drifting through the ruins and individual stones are a nice touch, though the roaming alpacas don't have ear decorations. And I absolutely _love_ the music. It makes me want to dust off and play the quena I brought back from there.
Azucena actually looks super fun with that crazy UI Goku like counter stance. She’s already the character I’m most interested in so far I think.

Azucena is definitely the standout for me 🙌🏽 love the design so looking forward to playing her! Her obsession with coffee comes from pride in Peruvian coffee as a whole as I believe it's highly regarded in Latin American culture. She reminds me of lily from sf6 in regard to how she puts the love of her country on her back. Feels hella grounded and I'm for it! I'm also glad fan's of raven get to see his long anticipated return! 🙌🏽

For Raven's trailer, the first stage is a reference from T5's stage, then when they dropped, it's a reference to T6's Gargoyle Perch

Remaking the usual Tekken 8 trailer theme as pan flute music at the end of Azucena's trailer was a cool touch. She looks like she'll be super fun to play too.
As someone who's background is Peruvian, I'm so happy to see my country represented more in fighting games. I love the music and stage a lot! Really feels great to be represented this way!

Raven Snipes ninjutsu power has grown a lot and I absolutely love it
I reckon Azucena's bloodstream is 90% coffee and 10% blood tbh cause all those extraneous movement she's doing is cool af but also looks like something that someone who drinks 10 cups of coffee every day would make to shake off their anxiety : ^)
Ok, Azucena is going to be my main and I love the fact that you can perform stance or moves that automatically evades attack for counters. Now that's something that I'm definitely going to work towards learning and her foot moves as she evades is awesome.
They should make a Tekken Coffee irl based on this character LMAO. I'd buy some.

I was surprised by Azucena, her evasive counters look really cool. I especially thought it was funny that she straight disrespects her opponent by showing them her back when she dodges.

Cannot remember the last time I was this excited by a new character. Also like the coffee theme as an extensive coffee drinker.
Man us Afro-Latinos won today. Azucena being on her Godot coffee addict shit is culturally accurate. Her evasive UI style is really cool a nice spin on the dancey capoeira style that jeeps her fresh an distinct. Always nice to have a parry character.
Raven is obviously mad cool with the noin saibot shadow clones and ninja magic and his general Blade like demeanor.
Both characters seem verh tricky and stylish. Which is my favourite kind of character.

I love this about fighting games. You've got the characters who show up to the latest tournament before the people running it are crimelords or demons or cultists or whatever and they're here to stop/join/usurp them or something, and then you have those guys who are just there because they really, *really* like coffee or sumo or turkish wrestling or luchador cooking or whatever and would just really like the world to know about it.

Everyone's gushing over Azucena (and rightfully so) but holy shit I cannot get over the Inca stage! You get the impression you found Pachacuti's tomb. Viva el Peru!
So let me get this straight: Raven returns and he has become even more of a Naruto character (more so than Lars when he was a special character in one of the Ultimate Ninja Storm games) and then we have a coffe addicted girl who achieved Ultra Instinct in a level beyond Steve Fox. And the stages are marvelous, especially the one in Peru.
Raven just watched all the entire series of Naruto and went full weeb , And Azucena, the desing is cool, but she doesn't look like she's from Peru, Peru women are more brown and with dark hair, she looks like a girl from Europe that is cosplaying a South American women
Tekken 8 going more anime than ever , kazuya and jin use more satan stuff, claudio uses magic , jun has forest powers , lars is covered in lightning.

As a massive fan of coffee, I dig it bro. She gives me SF6 Kimberly vibes. With all the crazy dancing and spot doging. And the stage transitions are beautiful! Raven looks cool too, had a weird feeling he would come back a couple of days ago when I was playing T6.

Man, this is a unexpected surprise, but a welcome one. After watching the Tekken anime that had Cusco, Peru as the stage of the tournament, I was wondering if Harada-san would include a peruvian character in the game. And here we are now. So hyped for this!!!

Totally digging her fighting style. I do have to say though that parts of the translation were not accurate.
5:15 translation says coffee is the tastiest, she actually said -coffee is number 1 in the world.
5:50 translation says i could do this all day, she actually says -lets have some fun-
5:58 translation says how she takes her coffee, she actually says -do you have coffee?-
6:06 translation says that she needs her morning coffee, she actually says -you need more coffee-

I''m not exactly a Tekken guy, but this girl Azucena might get me into buying the game just to play her. That dodging technique in her moveset is one of the sickest things I've seen in FGs.
