so this is one of those episodes that really bothers me, because it's an example of Ricky and Steve's ignorance and they still insist on framing it like Karl is in the wrong. not everyone thinks conceptually. Some people DO think in language. And expanding your vocabulary expands your mind. It helps you think things through in a more concise way. I get what Karl means about the brain. People who are good at certain things, they sometimes want to go and do something else because they have a dream, but often they'd be better off just doing what they're good at. But of course he oversimplifies it.
Yeah you left a big part out about Karl genuinely believing that the brain is something seperate that can somehow work against you. I'm with Ricky 100% on his analysis about Karl. I mean, I love Karl, but it's all nonsense that comes out of him. There is no underlying genius or ill articulated brilliance.
