Yeah that's my favourite too.
He means that all noises are familar to us. Very rarely will we hear a noise that we have never heard before
he meant to say sounds appear to be rather finite/limited ,its always the way he explains it that messes him up
We always know what Karl means. He is quite a bright man and we love him for that. We laugh at how he explains it.

Im Canadian and I missed work because of snow only once but I also have all weather tires and always had winter tires back when there wasnt all weather tires, I feel like if the UK got a month of snow everyone would starve and there would be anarchy.

Those "thoughts", what so many people call intuition, is literally recognising patterns. Humanity has been doing it since we were apes. It's why humanity is so afraid of the dark. You can't sense danger if you can't sense patterns that hint at danger and there's a fear in ONLY relying on the other, less exercised senses. There is nothing paranormal about it. Trauma victims are mainly fucked because normal things trigger fight/flight response where in most it would trigger nothing. It's all patterns.

I think what Karl is talking about, regarding sound. is every sound that we hear shares the limited range of frequency that our ears detect. So something always sounds similar to something else, because we pick up on the shared patterns in frequency
I think what Karl means by "so many noises" is that the universe only has a finite amount of possible noises and frequencies and that that can occur. Similarly to how there are only so many colours on the spectrum.
But tbf humans have a very limited capacity for detecting these things anyway. There are noises that have such a high pitch only dogs can hear them and there are animals like the Mantis Shrimp that can see far more colours than we can because of how their eyes are naturally.

I’m sure it’s how Karl writes and speaks about Suzanne that makes her come off that way rather than that is how she is as an actual person, we know he can’t articulate very well, plus, listen to some of the stuff he says on these shows, imagine that 24/7 for 20 years. After a hard days work or the moment you’ve just woken up, would you want to have an in depth talk about the immune system? 😂

I think Karl sort of means some sounds seem similar, like a sizzling frying pan can sound like radio hiss or rain or crumpling up a crisp (potato chip) bag. 😉

He means there are only so many noises, so like a bird will make one noise then a different bird will make the same noise just add a different one to it as well. Think of it like letters of the alphabet making up words. Not sure if its right or not though, it sounds ridiculous

If you ever get through moaning of life or even this, you should watch outakes of Derek Season 1. Ricky got him to act in his show. He also did a show on his own, but that one you have to judge yourself how good it is.
He probably means that all the audible frequency range part of the sound spectrum has been heard at least 5 times since there has been ear drums to hear the vibrations
