He'll play another 4 years or so, but I hope he retires. I won't miss his energy, antics, or constant need for affirmation. As for his decline, raw numbers don't tell the whole story given changes in the game/ rules. He's a better shooter this year than in the past. His impact is elite but less than prior.

Playing until 43 years old is crazy. Lol. Not saying he won’t but it’s insane to think about

Why is defense not mentioned in any of these narratives? Playoffs vs Play in he has missed more if not for the play in tournaments lol

All time leader in turnovers. One more regular season game and he'll be the all time leader in missed shots. Truly an inspiration.

@@cloudfull949 So after 21 years you'd think he'd learn to turn the ball over less than 3.8 times a game in the playoffs. And those are just the turnovers the official scorers are actually willing to attribute to him, there's always a few bad passes of his here and there that they say was the fault of the recipient for not getting it and thus isn't counted as an official LeBron turnover. It's actually shocking that he's been able to so easily set a new turnover record with how lenient the official scorers are on him in that regard.

@@thareelhelloagain spot on. LBJ is low on fundamentals and skill and is just a 6'9" athletic freak, who peaked when he came in and never got better. His footwork has always sucked, and his whole game has been basically "Im bigger than you", but now he is in athletic decline he doesn't have the footwork and fundamentals to show up under pressure & gets by on refs cheating for him while he is playing in the defensively worst and lowest skilled era in history. Most of his points are coming in the first 2 quarters, and the guy basket hangs all game and barely ever transitioned on defense anymore after a shot his missed. His super fans are people who easily impressed by empty stats. If LBJ was a true winner he would have accepted a role coming off the bench for 5 minutes a quarter this season where he could still be effective on both ends of the floor, but wouldn't be holding up the ball all game and restraining the younger players who have more talent and energy in the tank. Scoring 25 a game is pointless if the guy you are guarding gets 27 or 30, todays ball fans just don't get that lol This is why LBJ should NEVER be in the GOAT conversation or even in the top 10.

@@cloudfull949 of course its "so" your a bronsexual who only sees his positive stats and any other stat that's negative its somehow overlooked or glazed over by the bronsexuals would you be overlooking michael jordan if he had 5000 turnovers? would you also be saying "so?"

I think that we are just used to Lebron's grateness and we get wow by the new people doing incredible things. Just the fact that he can play like he does and do incredible things day in and day out is just another proof of his greatness. We are desensitized to him because he has been great since we have a recollection. We expect him to do this and more, but when others do it we get impressed. Thank you for coming to my TED talk, good night.

The stance that Lebron isn't in decline is without context. Of course, he only missed the playoffs twice. The East was absolute trash most of the time he was in the East. He's in the stronger conference now despite it being nowhere near as good as it was when he was in CLE the second time. He is playing less and less on the other end of the court, so he can keep his offensive numbers up. Even doing that he fades out or plays inconsistently down the stretch. That's part of the season you can't really compare his numbers after 35 to the greats before him. He plays a completely different style of play. Most of them played just as hard on the other end of the court and played with more hustle. He is also playing in either the highest or second-highest era in NBA history for scoring and pace. You also have to take into account medical advances, load management, and the money he spends on his body every year. At this point, Lebron is just using his longevity to accumulate stats. He isn't helping a team get any significant wins

He should retire so the Lakers can use that money to get younger players. I couldn't believe how many Laker fans avoid games until he retires.. then they will go back.. or just sitting in the arena listening to fans talk about how they hate his flopping and acting.. His own fans. It's crazy.. Lebron isn't the player he once was, but i dont think he wants to retire anytime soon. Now that his son is with the Lakers .. oh man, i bet he's gonna play until 45😂😂😂😂
