- Part 5 of my riff series. Looking at some of the greatest, yet underrated and underappreciated riffs of the 70s, 80s and 90s. With commentary and a tutorial on how to play it.

One of my favorites. Never gets old and very satisfying.
Killer video Kelly. I liked your commentary on the band. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Super cool lesson 👍
That album is probably one of my favourite. Such a massive sounding recording. I was disappointed by pretty much everything they did after. Love and Live at the Lyceum. Killer albums in every way
One of my favorite albums is Love. It’s one of those albums that you really need to listen to start to finish.
Ah The Cult! One of my most fave 80's bands!
Likewise man.
Thanks so much for this man, me and my dad was jamming to this the other day and I was wondering how it was played
Thanks, and good luck with it!
Well done brother
Great lesson - I really appreciated the whole backstory for those uninitiated in Cult history.....A history lesson with a riff lesson!! keep 'em coming
Great cover!!! Yeah Billy Duffy is totally a tone monster.
Killer tune, killer playing, indeed killer channel!!
Thanks Robert as always! You're too kind. Always nice to hear from you. Love your new guitar btw.
cool riff!
Cool intro about the band and the albums, that was nice! Would have loved a bit more detail on the effects chain and settings, it sounded very spot on!
Saw them live as a opener for guns n roses in Nijmegen Holland, 1993❤️
Great stuff
One band that I've never seen. Would have loved to.
Ill never understand how the cult didn't take over the world.
Couldn’t keep a band together. Really just a duo.
I'm with you. Any band that can't be pigeonholed tended (and tends) to disappear. Were they goth? Rock? Record companies back then hated not being able to market to a specific segment, particularly if a band wasn't 100% radio-ready. Funny thing: I was in college in the early '90s, we listed to the Cult alongside our grunge/alternative all the time, but it was too late; the band was already gone.
