I'm a woman of a certain age with disability who overheats at night and throughout the day. It became unbearable especially in this summer heatwave and normal fans just weren't cutting it. The the noise of a normal fan on full force is also deafening at night. It got so bad I decided to sod the cost and googled 'Best fans ever' and came across this one. So bought it on an impulse thinking i'll send it back if its crap.. So it came today and rather than read the manual -as my eyes are bad,-i watched your vid on how to use it... That was about 40 minutes ago, and i've already ordered another one for the kitchen. It's all singing, all dancing, like something out of a sci fi film and for the first time this months i have very welcome goose bumps due to the cool breeze. Who knew a fan could be so refreshing. This will make such a difference to my life... it's the simple things.

Bought one a Month ago, Got to say it's Brilliant. with oscillating sideways and vertically it cools my room down quickly and as i live in a small flat I turn it on full in the early mornings, open all the windows and change the air in the flat, Super quiet and classy design.

Just ordered 2 of these to replace an old school oscillating fan - i got really exhausted running from side to side to stay in the airstream with the old one but i've seen (and not heard} the Meaco 1056 in action and i was blown away by it ! It really does cool the air in the room very efficiently and i was impressed with the degree of control you have with the timer etc so well done Meaco and thanks for the review.

@R The remote push buttons are a bit of an art to use - when i received it i tried the remote and unless there is a click of any pushbutton - nothing happens. I've just tried mine again because i don't use the remote and results are intermittent having just tried it. All the micro pushbuttons make a discernible click when operated on mine. These fans are absolutely fantastic and i have bought a second one for upstair rooms plus another for a family member. Any help ?

Can’t wait to use it. Need it in the bedroom, I’m a woman of a certain age and the night sweats keep me awake. The fan I have makes such a racket, I can’t have it on at night, I’m a light sleeper so I need complete silence. Hopefully, I will sleep better with this.

I already owned the hot/cold Dyson fan but really wasn't that impressed, especially the noise at higher speeds. Saw this one on QVC and took the plunge and it really does blow (pardon the pun) the Dyson away. At slower speeds it shifts a LOT more air and is much much quieter than the Dyson as well. Superb fan and probably the best one out there.

Can you only control the fan via the remote? I always have second thoughts about electronics (due to the risk of failure rendering it useless) where it's really not needed, and devices depending on batteries - which I suppose the remote control is. If the fan can be controlled directly/manually, then the battery depending remote is not an issue.

The 650s now come with USBC ports instead of Micro usb, they are really good but can not shift the air of the1056
they also can not oscillate up and down.
The 1056 needs a plug you could easily run a 650 off a 10000mh power bank for 3 or 4 hours aslong as the power bank supports 12watts (5vx2.4a)

Watt usage is 9.5 to 23.5 depending on speed (which is very very efficient). At max speed, it moves 1056 cubic meters an hour.
I own one myself (the household owns 3).. and i dont need more than speed 1 with the fan 5 or so meters away from me (oscillating so i dont get a constant draft on me, or i'd probably get sick).

I love the video very good job but I was mad and you were going to be mad too. I was angry because when I clicked on your link it just showed your store and it wasn't a link to the fan which it should have been and I continue to scroll down and search for the thing and could not so I clicked on the main link below yours and purchase the band through them. I would recommend if you're going to give a link that is going to make your money you should get the link to that item I'm not every item in your store so the customer has to search by scrolling as there is no search key where you can put in the model number and it comes right up. That fan was up there in price so you lost some money.

I bought one of these fans frm Argos after the reviews and I can honestly say it’s a massive disappointment…. It’s loud in comparison to my German made klairstein silent storm pedestal fan… I thought it must be faulty as it made a strange sound especially on speed number 3… so I took it back and got a replacement and it’s exactly the same so i took that back for a full refund, over priced waste of money in my opinion, yes it’s quiet compared to some fans but not by much… klairstein is far superior and it cost me £72.50 with free delivery and it’s a pedestal! I was tempted to buy the meaco humidifier but I think I’ll pass and go with klairstein , i really wanted to like the meaco , sadly it’s a let down… 😕
