Agree, i've allowed myself to buy the red version, already fitted for PvE Combat, and it was really fun to test, success or fail, but never loosing credit.
Now im confident and i engineered the Python Mk2, and its my main and only combat ship while i grind the engineering need for my PvE Corvette.

Grimy Type 8 to show Elite some love. I would also like to point out everyone should experience a Fuel Rat coming to the rescue to complete their Elite experience. They are crazy fast and it is COOL as heck. Props to them. I wish there was a better way to give them a shoutout.
Recently got a new PC with a rtx 4080 super, so looking forward to getting back into the pilots seat. Only issue is setting all those key binds! 🗝️😔
When you're all done, be sure to back up that bindings file.
get yourself a hotas warthog bindings all done for you. Played elite back in the 80's mouse keyboard only. Thrustmaster hotas for me now WOW enjoy the return to the game btw i also use a 3080 i iz loving it,@@CMDR_Shokwave git
@@CMDR_Shokwave yeah, saves a lot of time. There's so many annoying ones to work out and they're not obvious after a time away 😢
@barking_mad6649 I run dual sticks and have had to re-bind before. Each stick has 32 button inputs plus multiple axis and mini sticks. Pain in the ass. Haven't even bothered to bind anything to the normal throttle system controller. It does give you the opportunity tho to really evaluate your layouts and what makes most sense. I really need to print out a graphic and write in all the controls to have a nice hard copy and visual reference.
Great video as always. I will be picking up the Python Mk II and thank you to all my wealthier human pilots for keeping my favourite game alive by purchasing the Type-8. o7
So excited to have a "real" medium trading ship to play around with. I'm definitely going to have a t8 for every non-combat niche 👍
Plus, a new "most small hardpoints on one ship" award. Someday I'll have my huge combat ship with 30 little tickle guns on it!

Also looking forward to NPC Python 2s in the wild, I assume they will appear same as the K2, T10 and Phantom did when they were released.
If cmdr ‘Alice Turnip’ does not turn up in a swede style SRV, cmdr Alex will have missed a trick (if it’s easier wear suede- not quite the same but for the sake of punnets, it will do (or even just blasting out Suede would maybe suffice)). Now, on a far more important note can I personally request that the AXI teams slow down- cmdr mechan I am looking at you. I haven’t been able to get into the game much recently but I do have all of the the badges for the Titan destructions. Basically, I am going on holiday for 3 weeks and can’t get in game. I don’t want to miss out on the next badge!!!! Okay, I appreciate these are very selfish reasons! And Rheeney and Buur Thankyou for your videos- I might not be able to play atm but at least I can live vicariously through your videos!

In keeping with the trend of the rest of the comments, I must admit that I did initially interpret the title as "Oh dear lord, Frontier was working on a second ship launching next month in secret!! THE PANTHER CLIPPER MUST BE REAL!!" until I was met with something I already knew. I'm not saying that the title is clickbait, but it might be a bit suggestive as you might have seen from the feedback by now. Thanks again!

It's never our intention to produce click bait.... I find that practice altogether egregious tbh... However it would be remiss of us to not attempt to make the title attractive or "clickable" ... Very much not the same thing.
Videos like this take 2 of us upwards of 7 hours to produce so, as you can imagine, we want people to see them but we also strive to ensure that they're entertained and informed at the same time.

I think the new feature hS been quietly launched. If you go to the galaxy map and click on a system you've never visited, you can now buy the data instead of being forced to jump there and scanning.
That's actually been a feature since day one. I'm not sure myself what the criteria is as you can't do this in all systems but some you can, and you've always been able to do this :)

I'd love to see the Type 8 get a Smuggler's Cargo Hold. A slightly smaller ton (for the class) hold that shields from scans.
Also; I am definitelygetting the new Python, what i will do with it remains to be seen however. Probably play around with it and then mothball it, unless it somehow makes a decent explorer.
Not really, but it's great at blowing things up
It’s pretty nice for exobiology / full scanning all planets in a system (if you’re into that), especially if paired with a fleet carrier. But even without one it can get more than enough jump range for non-distance based exploration, I.e. when you’re exploring a pocket of space fully and not trying to get from point A to point B in as few jumps as possible while still doing some exploration.
Basically, the stabilized SCO performance makes for a smoother experience. That being said, perhaps the type-8 will end up being suitable for exploration too from similar considerations, we don’t yet know what its jump range will be like.
Good video this week! Looking forward to getting my hands on the Python Mk2 (I didn't pre-buy it in early access so it's still very new to me). I might also splash out on the early access Type-8!
I'm glad I can play the game again when the Mk2 is available for everyone. If they pay wall ships, then I "Play Wall" the game.
I do hope to get a Type 8 this month.
I also hope it receives less martial attention (and that it can do more about it) than my Noctis back in Eve Online.
Is there a change a getting an Imperial Clipper MK2 landing on Medium Pads, like the Type8 is reducing himself on landing ?

No idea. If that's your sole reason for purchasing it it's not the game for you. I'd recommend X4 or No Mans Sky.
@@TheBuurPit I think they should add more terrain to moons it’s all rock but does run on my laptop so that’s good. I spent eight hours trying to figure out where to go I eventually figured it out. I have made 3 million credits in 2 hours by doing war missions
I’m honestly surprised they’re still adding ships.. Are people still playing? Last time I played, most players seemed to be in the late-game, and I thought they were focused on other content. I’m not really sure what they’ve been skin the last few years. I played hundreds of hours while in college, but that was years ago..
Hopefully the type 8 is everything the type 7 isnt. Whats next? T11? anaconda MkII? Copper head? Boomslang? Rattler?

@@Dr_Fish_feet personally I think it's extremely unlikely, a lot of work on Frontier's part that feels to me like it would be 90% a labour of love to undoubtedly flesh out the immersive aspects of the game while being of questionable explicit and prescriptive gameplay value (the latter being where FD seem most prepared to commit their limited resources at the moment). My view has always been that the justification and payoff from FD's perspective for ship interiors would be salvage gameplay (making interiors for derelict ships we could board and loot) and that providing immersive interiors for our own ships would come as a side effect of that.

This game could improve in so many aspects only adding new tools, weapons, ships, planet models, mountains models , new buildings in the cities, new stations, , plants etc many of these would not be so difficult but they dont want to put the effort or resources?
Is this game on ICU (intensive care unit) since some years? Is it kept alive with the minimum effort?

There is an A rated version you can buy but it has NO ENGINEERING on it.

Have you looked at playing using GeForceNow? Maybe that's an option for you. We play with a lot of console commanders that way.

You forgot x2 class 1 optional slots. Corvette mk2 would be nice. Grinded to get that ship, to find out that the Anaconda is just as good.

I'm kinda disappointed by the devs compared to what HG made over the years with No Man's Sky. I'd categorize Elite Dangerous as a nice space '' simulator/sandbox '' but there's not enough to do to call it a video game.
Anyone else finding the game slightly unplayable, with hunters appearing from underground in number's ( instant wipe out ) or when at a spire site, calling your ship in, spawns it from underground and you can't board it, as its half buried ?? 😮
i got the python mkII because it was the first time i noticed prebuilt ships and ive had all these arks ive never spent...i didnt read it all the way through🥱

How do you manage to get the graphics to look so gorgeous? I have everything maxxed out and it doesn't look like that... :(
Nothing different, everything turned to the max for me too but on 3440x1440. I've got a 3080GTX which helps as well.

@@oczhaal that's disappointing :( I dont do anything to the footage while editing either, that is how the game looks. Might it be worth you checking your graphic options to just be sure you dont have the AMD option turned on perhaps?? I have mine set to "normal" on the "upscaling". AA is set to "SMAA" and supersampling is set to x1.25 on mine. They are the only ones that could make a real difference as far as I know (and keep everything else set to Ultra).

I could be wrong (perhaps @rheeney could confirm) but I suspect a lot of it is down to choosing the right location with good lighting and then choosing to slow things down (figuratively) and spend time actually looking at the environments you're flying through rather than focusing your attention on what you're doing. I often think my game doesn’t look as good as the Buur's content but when I watch my own videos back and pay attention to what I'm actually seeing often find it looks better than I realised.
