Any plans to make a new players guide to 1.0? I’ve been watching this game for a while now, and feel like I’m gonna be confused playing it.
You put the biggest one in the thumbnail though ;)
@klutz8019 Actually, the learning curve is really good. I think trying to pre-learn might confuse you even more. I would just start as you are, and spend some hours playing (don't Skip the tutorial).
And maybe after some time just watch videos of something you don't understand, or videos like "satisfactory tips"
There's a lot of tips that make your life easier and aren't that easy to figure out by yourself.

I love how water is still used as a beauty measurement in games. I remember first being blown away with how the water looked in Morrowind.
Yes! The water in Morrowind was a whole new experience that somehow felt downright magical when I first came up out of that dank boat.
What a legendary game. True freedom and immersion. I liked how only certain areas had certain fast travel options, sometimes you had to really prepare for a long distance journey. Good times
For me, it was Sea of Thieves that really amazed me.
World of Warcraft for me, since it was my childhood. Was more of a personal problem, though as it wasn't blizzard that upgraded it back in vanilla, it was getting a better graphics card lol.
I remember hearing a long time ago that waves, ripples, water in general is like the hardest thing to get right in digital media. How many games have actual waves crashing on a beach? How many of those actually look good?
Water is always an interesting thing to look at in a game graphically. That said, the best water I have seen (ridiculously overengineered modern games and engines notwithstanding) was in, get this, Kung Fu Panda the video game. Seriously, check it out it has no right to look as good as it does.
Automatic biofuel generators are such a nice QOL change

Don't forget to look up and wait when you send that first space elevator shipment!
Each shipment changes the space elevator, the milestone deliveries actually show you a holographic preview of what it would change the station up there.
Just set up biomass system, generators, wire, cable, sheets, rods, screws, and concrete and put all of it into storage containers. now i can get back to my real job and have a mess of things to build with when i get off this evening.
Same, except for screws. I refuse to ever automate those.
A cool bit, for everyone who missed it: changing your character's color ALSO changes the color of Portable Miners you place.

when will we get working beds ?
you really can climb into the beds (crouch for the lower ine, jump+crouch for the upper one), but you can't do much else besides "hiding" there in multiplayer. still nice that you can go in.

1. was there always cameras in the HUB?
2. Did they follow you around before if they where always there?

I loved the launch trailer's little detail where the pioneer deleted the "Early Access" line to really hammer home that it is now fully released.

There's a list on the wall of stuff you shouldn't flush but ignoring that doesn't seem to trigger anything.
I was really looking forward to this and ready for this release, but my computer just freeze when I try and play. It’s about 12 years old, so I wasn’t surprised, but I had no problem with the game until update 8. Then the graphics of the machines was also messed up
Even with the improved biomass burners I just try to speedrun past phase 1 as fast as I can to unlock coal. To me the game doesn't really start until you can start fully automating things
am I the only one who's annoyed at how much has been changed to the resource nodes? So many people were using the spider swamp as a nuclear plant, they've gone and nerfed the amount of uranium there by half, taken away crucial silica and sulphur nodes. All my time has been spent getting a complicated zero waste nuclear energy back up and running.
These types of things really ruin things for people like me who don't have time or ambition to do a full playthrough again.
HUB don't have upgrade animation anymore during tier 0

One small thing: The fuel generator does in fact generate more power but it also uses up more fuel - so the additional energy technically is no buff. This popped up in reddit - can anyone confirm?
I'd still argue that's a buff because you need to build less of them now for a decent power plant
you must have had access to the 1.0 build before release today.. The game was released exactly 6 hours ago and this was uploaded 6 hours ago, give or take 25 mins -- so quick :) appreciated though.

Its been maybe a few years since I last played the game.. I didn't expect so much was added since.. wow... I am wondering though how the game performs midgame+..... I remember when I played it before it was not the smoothest experience.
But looks like a whole new game now with everything that is added.
My default graphics settings went to some weird 600x550 and would not change.
Had to force the game into DX12 in the steam properties loading options

What do you mean automated biofuel ? thats what i do even before 1.0. container to constructors. feed it with bio items.
It has a conveyor belt that allows you to automatically take the constructed biofuel to the generator.
@@Howlie09 OHHH !!! i see... thats great. as long as we keep feeding it with raw materials. but i really wish it could take any raw materials to make SOLID BIO FUEL and that we wont have to keep resetting the constructors to whatever raw materials we have for the SOLID BIO FUEL.

Have they fixed factory input output timing? That has been my biggest beef with this incredible game. Set up a massive complex factory and it is always unbalanced because nothing adds up, meaning you need to over fill everything and its still never balanced.
It's certainly much better than it was
@TotalXclipse great news. I may try another nuclear power plant again. My last one was very large and I could never get the nuclear waste balanced enough to run my factory that covered the entire rocky desert. I admit I got a little carried away in my scope and output of that factory. I do love this game though.

Kind of disappointed that they didn't do something about the random fking alternate recipes.
They did address that sort of with the HDD rework
I am a little disapointed. This game needs more QOL than this. Too many recipes force us to use externals tools to understand how the logistic network is working. Gives us best way to visualize it in game.

Just chill. On his own, Total made a huge contribution to the community in the past few years. A win for all of us, and as a business Coffee Stain is right to extend both their gratitude and trust.
Besides, giving Total and Bitz advance copies allowed them to make these videos beforehand, instead of trying to produce them on release day. There are no losers in this - no sense in making yourself a sore one.

i think i'll still be using batteries for my drones, fuel is more suited for power and personal transport imo. and it gives batteries a use, if it doesn't have a use late game
