I don't know where to start, except to say:
    Bloody brilliant video!
Using the little leftover bits on the bottom of the wings? Inspired!
I just pinned this with the label, "Absolutely the best poly clay video on RUclips EVER!"
Thank you SO much! I can't wait to get a chance to try this.
Wonder if they'd notice if I didn't show up for work today?

      +Polymer Clay Artist
Went to work, kind of had to - boss is out of town on holiday. She is totally amazing & she really needed/deserved a week away, so I was happy to fill in for her.
OK, that and I need the extra $$'s for more clay to practice butterflies.
      ;D
      You are totally welcome.
Thank you again for the inspiration.
Just 1 request -- more videos!

I work with Polymer Clay and have an Etsy shop myself and often need these tutorials to learn new thins. But I must say out of all the tutorial videos out there, ya know the fancy dancy ones, I absolutely love yours. I love the fact that you leave in the small bits of knowledge and explain everything that you're doing. I had no idea what a "Skinner blend" was and I've worked with Polymer Clay for several months now >.> I know there is so much more to learn with this medium as well as many others. Thank you sir! :D

Along with this being an awesome video (pause button and the "slow down" feature on all youtube videos aid in getting a better understanding of the process he went through), what I LOVED is how HONEST you were about how when you get to a certain point in cane making, one panics....no matter how experienced you are. The reducing part in particular....I love that you verbalized that. Cane making is never the exact same process twice, it requires flexibility, patience, the ability to keep in mind the end result and the willingness to risk doing things that MAY not work in the end. But when it does......ohhhhh YES! Thank you for this video!

Fabulous...most realistic butterfly I've ever seen. What a painstakingly beautiful process to get the blend over the whole wing instead of each piece. Brilliant! Thanks a bunch; I know the amount of time it took to edit this was immense.

Micah Hirsch Thanks I appreciate the feedback!! It's crazy reading that cause actually in the future I plan on having extended versions of certain projects that could be purchased as a ad free download for maybe $1.99 or something lol Of course there would always be a shorter free versions here on youtube... it's just an idea I been thinking about for some time now.

I really enjoy working with polymer clay and recently I was baking cookies in tubes and wondered if the cane application would work for cookie dough so I used this video to make butterfly wing cookies I made a whole tube I can freeze and bake whenever I want. They actually turned out really pretty just butter cookie dough slightly modified and food dye. Thanks for this tutorial!!!

I can keep dreaming lol! At any rate I couldn't be any happier with the response I got from both my fanbase and the general YT community. It's truly a pleasure! :D Now I should do it again but this time in 4K :D

This makes so much sense now. I have watched many video's but either they stop with the beads, or get the different shades blended in and stop. For a newbie I want to see what happens step by step all the way to making a butterfly in this case. Very interesting and of course I love butterflies. Your video was excellent.
