Thank you so much 🤗Mary this was a super yummy cake!
That looks really yummy! The combi does a great job with cakes! Thanks for sharing this great idea!!!
I have never had one go above the pan but that is a good cake yummm
Pineapple Upside Down Cake was my Moms favorite. ❤
It really is super good we like it here!
I made a pineapple upside down cake in my waterless cookware around 40 years ago. I put butter and brown sugar in first then pineapple rings and placed a cherry in the middle of each ring. Make the cake mix and pour over the pineapple. Then I put the lid on my pan and cooked it on top of my stove. I don't remember all the details but I remember it was really good. Put a plate on the pan, turned it over and out came the cake with the pineapple on top. Thanks for sharing your recipe, Nessa.
You want to know something funny Crystal? I have NEVER heard about waterless cookware an ad flashed across my fb last night and then you mention today. Your version sounds great I know I didnt flip over but that is ok last one I made almost ended up on the floor
Pineapple upside down cake is a summer favorite here! Looks great!
This was pretty darn tasty honestly thanks Alesia
Love pineapple upside down cake!
I do too Beth I am not sure why I dont make it more often but I guess I just did for a bit.
Love Pineapple upside down cake i like mine with custard ❤
Mark would LOVE with custard
Looks delicious! I agree, no exact measuring is needed. I like the idea of using the crushed pineapple instead of the rings with the cherries. Yum! ❤😊
Hope you enjoy! That is how I have always made mine. I dont like to measure things for the most part some things you have to some you dont and when I dont I dont :)
Looks delicious and easy to make!
So good! I have never had a cake get that tall either but it works for sure!
Nessa that looks amazing
Thank you Stacy
Oh my that looks delicious!! Have a blessed day❤
Thank you it was good and even better being cold I can see some more of it getting ate up for desert tonight
Mmmmmmm, That looked really delicious. I'm not one for cakes and pies but that did look really good. Take care and stay safe.
I am a cookie person followed by cakes/pies I prefer Ice cream 1st. But this was pretty tasty we enjoyed it there are a few more pieces in the fridge then I will make something different
Looks great Nessa
Thanks ever soo much that was yummy looking forward to seeing what we think of it cold today
Hello, well doesn't that just look so scrumptious! I may have to try making it like that next time i make a cake. I do not like maraschino cherries either. Hey, you know what else might go good with this is some nuts. Walnuts, or pecans. Have a wonderful day!
I have never had that with the nuts been trying to still stay away from some foods and nuts some say are a no no for Mark. But this was super good Angela let me know if yours works out and glad I am not the only one with the dislike of Maraschino cherries
Good morning!❤ Now you know I’m going to try this!! Probably in a few minutes 😁 My biggest challenge will be finding a pan to fit in steamer pan. I don’t have white cake mix BUT I have pineapple cake mix❤ A + from Mark! Woot ❤
I got that 3 pack from amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B0957MQPJT?linkCode=spc&tag=onamznessasno-20&creativeASIN=B0957MQPJT&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.DM05J4QO4J15&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_d_asin I use the middle one for that. Please let me know how yours turned out Tracie are you loving that Combi?
@@nessasnook added to my wish list. Have to watch pennies right now. Might have one I can use. Didn’t get chance to look yet. You know I’m loving my Combi ❤️😍💕
The pan you are using should work PERFECT I am waiting to see the pic when done
@@nessasnook on my way to try.❤️
Good morning!! Looks delicious. I was wondering how you were going to get it out of your pan. I actually thought you were going to flip it onto a platter or like the old Tupperware cake taker. Glad it came out great & that you both enjoyed it. Have a wonderful day. 😊
Ohh I could of done that its been sooooooooo long since I have made one I didnt even think of it. We all enjoyed it I am glad I made it maybe might make more soon!
Man that looks delicious. I love a good pineapple cake.
I was kind of shocked to say the least. And we all loved it. I did however loose the paper with your name spelled properly can you re give it to me. I know I should of flipped it the cake but how I was wanting to have it in the fridge it would not of worked
@@nessasnook Carissa! lol. I was wondering that but I’m sure just flipping the piece over would have been just as effective and you can store it in the pan longer . Good idea
it didnt last long enough to go bad Carissa I was soooo close to spelling your name right in my head but like my real name of Vanessia I HATE it they prounce it VEN e ss eeeee a now you know normal vanessa is ok for those to say right throw that I in there and people go crazy! And I dont know how they get VEN out of VAN...... Mom and Dad did to my sis with the IA also. One these days Mark says we are going to change our names I have my new name picked out and I love it. But you know Mc Donalds slottered that name on an order I am like I can win for lossing!
@@nessasnook 😂😂😂 I’ve gotten caressa, Clarissa , charisma….none of it makes sense
So its like Karissa or more of a C sound
Could you make some different cobblers? I have made peach, apricot, and blueberry. They are so good. But you might have other ones to try. Just an idea. Blessings ❤
I have never made a cobbler I would have to look it up to see what is involved of course you know I dont do a lot of baking so it might take a min if I feel I can do that Sally
That looks great. I have a lot of canned pineapple I needed to use so I will definitely be doing this. It was hard to tell in the video what setting you had the combi on. Was it steam bake? And did you let it build up steam before you put the cake in?
Sorry I thought I had said it but I did at 340 for 18 min on combi bake with water below of course. And yes I did wait and the wait seemed to take forever!!!! But once the lines turned to time I put the cake in and baked on the combi bake I would for sure do it like that again :)
looks great you didn't flip it lol
Yuppers
The one question I have. Having the water in the bottom, does the bottom of the cake brown?
The water is in the big pan that the cake went into. On previous cakes that I would notice the bottom being brown yes it did. Like coming out of an oven Beverly on this with the butter, brown sugar and pineapple its harder to see "browned" bottom I hope that helps?
