    I think the mood swings and the crazy mind set during menopause is the worst symptom. It nearly divorced me . Menopause is one of the worst things I've ever been through in my life . IM 55 AND STILL GOING THROUGH IT . AT LEAST IM NOT HAVEING THOSE HEAVY PERIODS ,BUT STILL HAVE THE PMS SYMPTOMS AROUND THE FIRST OF THE MONTH.

      Have you tried the herb Maca; this can often work well for anxiety. I usually recommend a liquid one from a company called Health Aid. Nausea can often be eased with Milk Thistle Complex or a ginger supplement.

    I cant take menopause support cos i take the pill. I take extra magnesium now but still getting the nausea most days of the week. No wonder some women end it all ( i know of at least 3 who have gone in fact. ) i want to know when the peri menopause will end ,, some say its the worse bit . Next feb i will be 3 years into it. I have been on hrt a year now , but have been getting worse since july . It seems everyone know you feel like this but expects us all to suck it up for the next 10 years !!!! ????? The doctors just want you all to succumb to anti depressants.

      If you are not feeling the benefits of the HRT it is important to let your doctor know; not all HRTs suit everyone and you may need the dose adjusting or maybe swap to a better one for you.

      you could try the Valerian and Hops tincture as this usually works quickly at establishing a good sleeping pattern. However, if you do feel that depression is creeping in then it is very important to let your doctor know - over the counter remedies are unlikely to be of benefit

      Hi
      If you are getting treatment for your breast cancer then we are unable to recommend any herbs or supplements, sorry but acupuncture can often be of benefit. You could check with your doctor to see if there are any practitioners attached to your local NHS and if so request a referral. If not, you can find a local practitioner through www.acupuncture.org.uk

    I have zero energy - I just want to curl up in bed and hide. I ache all over and feel overwhelmed and irritated by the smallest thing. I pretty much have every menopause symptoms apart from the flushes (I take Citalopram and this seems to mask them). I am on HRT but it doesn’t help with all my symptoms. My house is a tip and my motivation has gone out of the window - I am so embarrassed as I used to be so house proud. I manage to work but this takes all my energy and when I finish I just want to sit and think of nothing. Sorry to moan but I am so frustrated and feel like I am existing, not truly living.

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Caz
      Sorry to hear that you are struggling with this; it is such a common scenario, so you are definitely not alone! Firstly, I would go back to your doctor and let them know the HRT isn't helping. They may be able to adjust the dose or offer you a more effective alternative, please don't just put up with this!
      Also, other health issues can creep in at this time such as anaemia, vitamin D or B12 deficiency and underactive thyroid function and all of these can cause symptoms that are identical to the ones you are experiencing. Your doctor can also test for these just to rule them out.
      In the meantime, you may find the herb Maca helpful (approx 500mg daily) and make sure that you're drinking at least 1.5 litres of plain water daily as dehydration caused by falling oestrogen can also trigger these symptoms!
      Best Wishes
      Eileen

    I would like to know if shatavari and evening primrose oil is good in menopause. I had heart pain all of a sudden is this palpations. What can I increase estrogen

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  5 лет назад

      Hi Jay
      Shatavari can be of benefit for the menopause as it is known to help with oestrogen levels so worth trying for a few months if this is what you need. Palpitations often feel like your heart is racing or even missing a beat but it is important to get this checked out by your doctor just to make sure there is no other reason. If it is palpitations then you may find a magnesium supplement, 200mg twice a day with food, can be of benefit. Dehydration can cause this too so remember to drink lots of plain water every day.
