This tutorial is for version v0.4.8 of PalEdit.
note ‼️‼️ latest version of paledit accepts .sav files now. converting them to json is no longer necessary.

IMPORTANT READ: (WARNING)
I tried getting some pals u shouldn't be able to get like lucky legendaries and my save with over 29+ shiny pals and 4 star 195 work speed anubis, 4 star max speed jetdragon, and 4 star max work speed jurmentide ignis all bred and obtained legit (1000+ eggs hatched and 6 days of ingame playtime) got deleted and when i tried loading it it sent me back to the character creation screen. So as a warning i don't recommend changing many pals at a time it only took 4 pals edited to corrupt the save, also you have no way of undoing the files delete palworld will replace it with a different one so copy and pasting every file belonging to that server could save u some trouble just load the server check the time it was last edited then go to the files look for every file that was edited at that time and paste them into a backup file

I needed a xpg extractor to get my sav file , after editing my pals how would i replace my sav file ?? Im on game pass pls help

Only if you have access to the server files to access the save file
I rented a vps from g-portal. I followed the steps you showed but when I upload the file to the vps it doesn't accept it. For example: 25kb sav file, edited and saved to 23kb. When uploading the file to the vps, the file was overwritten but a few seconds later the file returned to its original state. Do you have any way to solve this problem?
You need to close the game server, replace the file, then turn on the game server again.
Can you be able to turn regular pals into Alphas/Luckies with this? Because these make them larger than normal and Alphas and Lucky Pals are actually the same size rescale. On your Pal list in this mod, I know the red skull symbol is an Alpha and the sparkle symbol is a Lucky. If not, then they should add that feature if possible.
Just catch the alpha one and mod him
Nevermind. You can with this mod. There is Lucky and Alpha settings there.
It's applied on a single server, but not on a public server. Do you know why? I bought a server using a site.

do you know how to delete pals in the editor ? when i click on "dump" they stay in my file, but i dont get them in my pal box in the game so i dont know how to delete them
Every time I try to open the Pal edit it says "unable to load python3.dII!". I got everything downloaded and even was able to convert my savefile to a .json file. I just get that error message whenever I try to open Pal edit 🤷♂. I even deleted and redownloaded everything, and still no luck. I'm playing solo too. Oh well guess I'm getting god pals the old fashioned way.
I play on my friends world and when i try and look for a save none shows up is it because he owns the world and not me?
Hi, After converting the JSON file is not appearing on the "load" options.
Are there any changes? Or is because the editor is now v0.16.0 and the editor is now 5.05?
I messed around. With the newest updated version of both files (Not Python though), you can skip the converting to JSON step and just use the normal level file
@@spicy6892 I am a little confused cause whenever I load the sav file the paledit.exe shows not responding. Also I it doesnt show the json file as well.
@rishilpalakurti1624 Like I said you no longer need the JSON file if you downloaded the recent versions. And like the guy in the video said, do not click the application or anything on your PC when you click load and save file, just wait up to 5 mins.

Can i use this tool on my end when playing on a dedicated server? Do i need any datas from the admin? is the Level.sav on my side?
theres no need for the second converter file... the paledit literally has a converter built into it, its at the top menu...

oh why i dont see the file "level.sav" in my file, it on dedicated server~( no work). So just only appear on offline sever only? ( working)
It works, if you're the host of the dedicated server. You have to go into the server files and get the level.sav file and then edit it. On a server everyone's save file is on the server, not client sided.

yeah, i tried this earlier by putting the number to 999 but it autocorrected to 100. So i guess the cap is 100

idk, I cant get it to work for a dedicated server with the newest version.
the creator of the tool said that it should work, there is no difference between Dedicated and Non-Dedicated saves. If you are not the host, you cannot edit anything.

@@rileygreen8563 Yea i figured. Got myself the steam version and noticed the pals I edit had the passive I put. Hopefully we get a skill edit as well.

Yeah, because it's totally not loser behavior to spend hours rolling the dice on RNG for traits in a game that will never have any real aspect of competitive play to it.
