For my sanity, I'm going to pretend IVs don't exist. I actually thought it was an improvement over Pokemon because it wasn't as needlessly tedious
The palchecker should either be a default setting or an ancient tech unlockable at low levels. Its a game changer
its convenient if you want to breed the best of the best but its so ugly to see a lot of hidden infomation showing up at your face all the time.
In the game, yes. But it should be unlocked at 30+.
Simething like that gives access to a pretty advanced feature, so the level it is unlocked at should reflect that.
since the game is on early access, and Palworld being a game based on ideas brought by Pokemon fans (every pokemon fan always wanted the games to be like this) i’m sure they’ll bring a lot of extra things when the game is finished
Would be cool to be unlockable after you Beat the 2. Tower-boss, you could also include this in a little Story
As long is some thing you need to unlock. Personally I like things like this to be hidden and you notice it when you level pals. But it's personal preferences and therefore would be okay as an otion
Thank you for mentioning editing the settings file!! I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why my game was constantly crashing as none of the other tutorials I was watching mentioned it for some odd reason. Big ups 🙏🏻

They'll probably add an iv checker to the game at some point. Pokemon GO was a big success, they too had iv's and no in-game checker. It was a feature added some time after release.
This has made me bite the bullet and install some mods. The IV checking will help me as someone who doesn't really like spreadsheeting and hopefully the pal unstucker I grabbed will alleviate some frustration when I go afk during egg sessions.

The pal analyzer mod should also have the option to craft a item a wearable item that also shows you these values that would be a cool feature to have in the game something that you get out of the ancient technology tree

In the future, Palworld is going to have a lot of updates. When these updates happen, is it going to be an easy process to update the UE4SS dependent/other mods? Might be a good topic for another video.

YES please! Especially cuz breeding for ivs is ~70% random mutations and only ~30% consistent, which makes all stats perfect 100 ivs basically impossible rn.

The main thing holding me back from using mods in this game is my skyrim modding knowledge. Since they're going to be actively updating this game for awhile will the updates break modded saves? For some games removing mods midplaythrough can break a save game.
please enlighten an ignorant person to such knowledge, does this mean if :
1 - If i use the mod now i cannot UnUse it then?
2- If i use them and before an update disable them, my save will be "saved" from any corrupting error chance?
Always having the same worry, but there a few things to differ: mainly what they change.
For example pure aestetics, skins, model changes etc never break the game or even save as they only change already fixed staples and nothing gameplay wise. These slightly more complex mods in this vid seem verry similar. They dont directly change any core mechanics, but basically just add to the gui/overlay (stuff that is displayed on the screen).
However, there is still a concern holding me back: removability. Since the game is not finished, there is always chance for spaghett. Another mod example is one that adds markers on the map for all lifmunk statues and removes them as theyre collected; hovever if the mods get removed, for some reason all these markers will permanently stay on the map. Especially as the game still gets updates and mods may or may not, its always a risk to take. Worst case when ivs (or photomode) get implemented, the mods just overwrite it.
So for now the safe way is cosmetics only, but in most case reinstalling the game (and removing mods) solves the issues.
@@InsaneBasti tbh the only 2 mods that have really interested me have been the mod that expands the drops in ranches and the mod that makes breeding faster and/or replaces the cake requirement with using berries instead.

Followed all the exact steps but it doesn't work for me. Now I'm even occasionally encountering crashes on launching the game
I feel like the IV tech should be the helmet considering it looks like a weird vr device anyways

I can see the IVs for my pals in my base and in the wild but I can't see them if they are in my party or in my palbox. Is there a setting in the config file that enables the IVs in the palbox/party? Someone please let me know

I understand why people feel that way about not being able to see the ivs but in all fairness it's probably just due to the game not being complete I'm sure they will add it

I took the files out and reopened the game and the game started so then I did what you did in the video just take the content and put it in that win64 folder. And now it keeps saying crash report palworld_win64_shipping over and over and over again idk why it won’t just let me do it. Idk what it different I’m trying to start the game right after putting the UE4SS zip file in the other folder and then it crashes and says the shipping thing over and over I’m trying to get it to start so it will make the logic mods folder so I can use the packs anyone have any ideas what thanks!

when i downloaded the UEF4SS file i accidentally pressed open with opera now everytime i try to open the file it sends me to opera to open the file so i coudnt edit the file like the video says and i dont know how to change it
Pretty sure if you right click the file there's an option that says "Open with.." and that brings up the same menu you selected opera with by mistake.

I'll never understand why IVs aren't displayed by default in pokemon/palworld...
Tried using the IV checker mod with the instructions in video but crashed within minutes. Never crashed Palworld before. In fact, now it won't launch at all and my entire PC is crawling. Mods suck. This absolutely needs to be a provided feature.
I would have liked instructions on how to remove these in case any one of them releases a bad update or something and breaks my game.

literally downloaded the analyze app tonight after the update.... the mod is broken. pal world will not load up with the mod paks installed

pal analyzer file is out of date i believe i did everything right and the ivs still don’t show up

I downloaded the new version on the UE4SS and replaced it with my other one and now my game won’t open and it keeps crashing. Can I delete all the file and then redownload the game and then reinstall the mods?

you wont get band for using any mods on steam but the games themselves can ban you if you instal mods that thay dont want you to have (i got band on btd6 for instaling a mod that maxes everything) but on steam i can say for shure that you wont get band and those mods probably wont get you band on palworld just dont instal cheats if you play on multyplayer.

I wonder why games make IVs hidden... like what is the cause of it
In collectors genres or mechanics, it increases rarity. Which increases their value for individuals and tradability in a market environment.
In a game mechanics context, it adds another level of progression and challenge.
All of these intended to increase the value and fun for certain players. Of course, some people don’t like the challenge, so it’s not for everyone.
Also, it prevents the game from being deterministic. If every Pal had the exact same stats, you would very easily be able to know based on it's level whether or not it could defeat each particular enemy. Hidden IVs randomize stats to add variety. You might go up against an enemy that you normally defeat fairly easily, but if it has great IVs, the fight could be considerably harder than you expected. This variety adds to the replay value also, otherwise you'd catch the best Pals one or two times & stop playing. Hidden IVs push players to keep trying to get to pure perfection.
"too complex for a kids game, scares em off" is usualy the answer (and sadlyy some comments further down prove that). However Palworld isnt a kids game and i hope theyll realize

Uh, I've been putting mods that need that thing just into the mod folder it created. It's not labeled, just mods.
Meanwhile, mods that don't mention it I've just thrown in the PAK folder.

These are the mods I am using at the same time from nexusmods. 100% human catch rate (humans can water/garden and carry lvl4, better vendors, betty vixy farming (can drop legendary balls at lvl5 vixy, custom condensor (1 pal only) faster breeding, max durability, 0 item weight, ore crusher (makes stone to ore) better night light, extra base area (double build area) increase world settings (can have 100 pals in base etc)

I don't know why more developers don't reach out to modders and purchase their work to implement into the game. I don't like how Bethesda turns them into micro transactions thought.
