Hi Robyn, sure would love to! I'll probably have to wait until after the pregnancy to fit into all my old clothes again, but I do have a couple of capsule wardrobe type videos planned where I'll be sharing smart casual outfits that can be worn whether you're pregnant or not so hopefully that'll give you some ideas in the mean time :)
Fantastic guide. I especially love that you showed the variety possible in each category of item instead of a very specific style (e.g. crispy white buttonup only for a top).

Wonderful suggestions, Jamie. Thank you! I also love a sleeveless turtleneck for the office, so I don't have to overheat in my blazers. Didn't get one last year, and boy did I miss it :) And in the dead of winter, I love for my button up shirts to have a soft finish, like flannel, but still 100% cotton. Makes it more warm and cozy. A smart-casual workwear collection would be AMAZING. I am a teacher in South Africa and I need to looked groomed and pulled-together but still be comfortable to run around after teenagers!

I probably won't be able to film it now until after the baby arrives (half my wardrobe no longer fits me LOL), but I am planning a few smart casual style capsule wardrobe videos which will have some options I think would be suitable (whether you're pregnant or not). I’ve been struggling with building a strong cohesive wardrobe for so long. It’s mostly my decision paralysis and a steep price point of things that I actually like that end up throwing me off. Your videos are truly inspiring! With time I’ve come to really look forward to them. Oh and congratulations on your pregnancy!
Haha welcome to my world - I find it so hard to pull the trigger on items that are more staple/investment pieces. Usually I'll wait about 6 months if not more! At least by then if you're still thinking about it you know it'll be a worthwhile purchase :) And thank you so much, that's a huge compliment

Yes! I absolutely adore a silk shirt but between working full time (shifts) and having a serious dancing hobby I do not have the time for dry cleaning!
Hope you enjoyed this one then Holly! You can handwash some silks - smooth silks with a sheen rather than washed silks work best for this 👌🏻
I love the tippi sweater from j.crew. Have them in multiple colors. Quality seems to have gone down in recently years but good that they have sales very often.
It's such a good basic isn't it? I agree the quality isn't what it used to be, but they're nice as a lightweight option and J Crew tend to have a new sale every week so I can't imagine you'd ever need to pay full price! :)
Great video as always! I work in a very mixed environment where some people are very smart and others like my department are more smart/casual. I dress according to my mood and the weather! Sometimes I'll wear jeans and trainers and others I'll wear a smart dress and boots. Please do a video for a more casual office please, I could do with some ideas!
You're so lucky to have the flexibility! We had a similar set up at Discovery - the executive team mostly wore suits as they would head out for external meetings, whereas most of the other staff would wear more casual outfits.
And definitely - I'll have to wait until after baby arrives but I'm planning to share more outfits and mini capsule edits that'll have some smart casual options that would work both when you are, and aren't pregnant which I hope will give you a few ideas :)
We do casual Fridays in my office but it’s not as causal as I would wear on the weekend so I find it hard to dress right. We are corporate so Monday - Thursday I wear all the kinds of things you have in this video but struggle on Fridays!
I'm hoping to do a more casual video in the future (when I'm not pregnant anymore lol), but I do have a number of other workwear videos where you might get some ideas. My older What I Wear in a Week videos were what I wore daily in a casual office environment too if that helps at all xx

Oh you're making me blush!! Honestly I think a lot of it came from my mum - many of the tips or tricks I use I observed from her. She was always very elegant in how she dressed. In saying that, I definitely made my share of style mistakes, especially in my teens and early twenties! xx

Thank you! I'll probably have to wait until after baby arrives to be able to fit everything again, but I'm adding this to my list. I'll be doing some more capsule style outfit videos with more casual (but covered up) outfits in the next couple months so hopefully that will give you a few ideas in the meantime :) And so cool to hear that you're studying engineering! :D
My girlfriend is an engineer, and she always wears button downs, dark jeans and dress shoes with a selection of polished pullover sweaters.

I love your work wear videos! My only struggle is I want to buy everything but it's so expensive.. What to prioritize? Also, how do you find all these brands?
I know what you mean, when starting out it can be really hard to know what to prioritise. I would begin by taking a look at seeing what you have in your wardrobe already that you can wear for work, and making a list of what you need from there. Think about outfit combinations and prioritise accordingly. It might be you need another shirt or blouse, some trousers/skirt. With any wardrobe it usually takes time to build it up. Also, don't feel you need to spend loads. You can shop second hand/pre-loved or opt to buy from places like Uniqlo that have very basic designs that are easy to wear over and over.
As for finding brands... too much time spent browsing the internet I think! Hahaha! XD
Secondhand, look for good fabrics and take care of your items! Basically none of my shirts/pants go into the dryer.
I never feel like I have any clothes to wear, but after watching your video and making a list, turns out I have 95% of what you showed. Perhaps my issue is how to create outfits out of these items. I would love to see a video of outfits created from these pieces. Thank you!

At the moment half my wardrobe doesn't fit due to my bump, but I've done quite a lot of workwear style videos in the past which could serve as a good reference? Would you wear a trench for fall 55 degrees in US or would you do the trench only for spring?
I would definitely wear a trench in the autumn time - I think you could do it at that temperature, though I'd probably be wearing a nice knit underneath (I personally find 17 deg C - 62F - cold as I've acclimatised to Sydney weather).
I just wore my trench to a professional business function at night and it was 34 degrees US in Minnesota! Hardly anyone has broken out their winter wool coats yet; we're not ready for winter yet lol. I see others with trench coats/ blazers too in the Fall for business wear.

You are SO STYLISH and beautiful but your hair is killing your look. It’s just too dark.. and straggly. How about some highlights?
It's my natural hair! I tried lightening it once and it was a nightmare - the undertone is red and it's not the most flattering. Now being pregnant, I'd rather not colour my hair if I can avoid it (despite the greys), until after the baby comes in March. I do definitely need to give my roots a little bit of a trim though, that's for sure :)
mademoiselle I have black hair myself. i think all you need is just a haircut. Mid length hair looks more fresh and it's easier to handle which is a bonus as you're pregnant. 😉

@@mademoisellejaime I disagree with the highlights. I think your hair looks beautiful naturally dark and prefer the one-color look for dark hair too. Everyone has their opinions.
