Id get black classic trousers and a blazer first they would work for like a job interview and formal occasions and invest in scarfs to complement your spring outfit. And maybe a black ( formal style )( cocktail) dress. Do not go for pleated skirts if u are short!
An a line is best for most body types.

I also have a question about pumps/heels without straps - how do you make them stay on!? I thought I found a really good pair and they fit for like the first 10 minutes of walking but after that they get stretched out or something and my heel keeps slipping out :( It always happens with heels that don't have straps for me and it sucks because they're so cute! I don't know how to heel.
maybe your feet are very slim? I have that problem so I use a shoe cushion and that helps to make them tighter.

Before you go out and buy these I highly recommended checking out thrift stores. I was able to find a great leather jacket at goodwill for $7, yes, SEVEN DOLLARS! That saved me $50-100
Joy awesome !!! I just found a lambskin leather jacket at value Village for 19.99 and I was happy to fork over the money. It’s some no-name brand but it’s beautiful black & simple with butter-like leather.

For me persoally I know leather boots are essential for me, they last so long and fit with my style perfectly and it goes with everything.
I'm sad to see that every pant is a couple of inches above ankle-length these days. It's a horrible length for me at barely 5'2" and curvy. I do like an above-the-knee A-line skirt and wear them more than shorts. I can't seem to find the dress you show at 22:14 - your links show similar dresses with a much wider waistbelt and no tab-sleeves.

Diane Schenkelberg I think 90 percent of the time, wearing high heels with the cropped pant looks really off. It looked better with the high waist version because it makes you look up, rather than down at the exposed skin. As a Petite, you need to focus all the attention UP not down. Cropped pants are best with flat shoes, like a ballet flat
Diane Schenkelberg I wear a convertible Maxi dress. It does the trick. But yeah a long slip dress is slightly naughty because it was originally meant to be a foundation garment underneath clothes. I would love one in a shiny, drapey Material, maybe with lace

I have white puma sneakers that I clean with a toothbrush to keep it as fresh as I can
