"Bite size" channels try to take the easy way to success, but this channel goes whole hog. You're the first and favorite channel for outdoors adventure. Looking forward to many more.
Just an idea, a new shirt or something for each different adventure you two tackle! You both rock !!!! Keep up the great work your putting out for us to watch
You have amassed some incredible footage over the years, it's a real credit to you, thanks for the trip down memory lane, looking forward to the next adventure
I'm from those parts of Canada and to see you highlight them is amazing I loved the Yukon like no other place I've lived I grew up on an airport in watson lake when the federal govt ran them and there were houses there and we all lived rite on watson lake it was a magical time for me. It seems all my memories of that time are good. I was born in Fort Simpson at a time when we had no radio or TV and entertainment in the long winter evening was the rather large family gathering together and playing board games or listening to LPS or listening to my two older brothers sing for us.but as soon as we got TV all that ended. Technology is not always a blessing. Best channel around. I remember when all out summer weekends were spent on the liard River in my dad's big covered Scow heading way up river and wed just float back over the weekend. Dad also had a little red speed boat f o r water skiing he would tow with us as well as canoes for those tributaries and if we just wanted to paddle. Life was fkn great and I miss those early years.
I can’t believe I missed this awesome comment. Thanks a lot for taking the time to explain this. I love the north so much and I’ve heard the same thing about other northern communities when they got TV. I hope that my kids get a life that’s similar to what you explain.
LOVE THE YUNKON !!!!! IT IS CALLING ME...... IN 1972 TO 1976, LIVED AT CANTUNG NWT ...... IN 2022 DROVE FROM VANCOUVER, BC TO FAIRBANK, ALASKA, THROUGH CANTUNG.
" In all the time also shows the highways system of the very very old days, between the drone footage, the underwater shots, fire in your hands, You've shown it all, and more to come!
The man, the myth, the legend that is Jim Baird. I appreciate you giving me the energy and passion to get outdoors and discover nature. It's truly rejuvenating!! ! If you ever find yourself in my part of the woods down here in the states, we would love to repay you and the family for all you do for us! The Woodys
Jim words cannot began to tell you how awesome you and your brother Ted and your families are .what a blessing to watch no other can come close to your skill and talents good bless take care always in our hearts and prayers
Incrdible journey down the Hess nasty white water and spectacular footage remember that video well , also remember Tori yourself a Westley's adventure that was a fun adventure loved this video.
Jim, your 11 day trip on the Bonnet and Hess might be my favorite. Of course, the arctic hike with Buck and the 2 week adventure of the height of land with Ted were epic, also. Love the channel. Thanks for what you do.
You’re welcome! Ya, those were all pretty epic trips for sure. Thanks a lot for the encouraging comment. I’ll keep filming my trips if you keep watching.
@@JimBairdAdventurer - if you stopped making the videos today, I’d start at your first and go through them all over again. And finally, I’d prove that all those bugs in your videos are just CGI add ins. There can’t possibly be that many bugs in real life. 🤣🤣🤣
Your canoeing skills are bar none the best. I've learned a lot from watching you skillfully negotiate these rivers you travel. All of your adventures are and always will be aweinspiring. Now your family is a huge enjoyment to your continued adventures. Everything that I have watched are so enjoyable. Even those dang blasted Alders. your endeavors
Your water skills are equivalent to your production skills. Thank you for taking us to parts of Canada that most of us would not otherwise see. My favorite was your winter trek across Baffin Island. Look forward to all your future adventures. Best wishes and please, be safe. Tom.
Will do and thanks very much. I gotta do another one of those Arctic winter treks again. Tougher with the kids now to get out on two hardcore multi-week trips each year so I focus mostly on the summer canoe trips now.
Well Jim, with everything you have going on these days, I really hope we all get to see another solo or with Ted northern trip soon. Great to revisit these trips!
Awesome!! I was hoping your adventure the Hess was going to be on this one, one of my favorites, such beautiful country you went through, of course all of your trips have amazing scenery
Nailing it Jim, thanks for the memory lane trip, but you know you gotta' show you and Ted arguing on your Beyond the Height of Land trip, true Bros! Cheers from London Ontario. C'mon, you know the one!!!
Thanks a lot, ya I think people like to see more details and watch something where the pace slows down more in places than tv. Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it! Have a good one.
What a great compilation of adventures Jim! Really enjoyed every moment. From rugged white water to snow covered trails. We can enjoy these magnificent adventures because of all the hard work you do to capture them for us. It was nice to see you, Tori and Wesley out for a winter camping trip. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to view all the rugged beauty of the north.
Thanks very much! It’s hard to please everyone with the music you choose but I try to use stuff that helps better relay the real emotions of the adventure.
Lookin good Jim, I remember some of those trips 👍👍👍 the axe mishap looks to have healed well, love from New Zealand to you and Torry and the boys ❤ be safe team 🕊
another excellent video jim lad love them me great work i dont think i could do it too my knees done and the insects would just drive me insane thats only downside to been in the forests justt maddening biting insects but that said just eat a clove of garlic before stepping off but the question i gotta ask though jim do you ever see anything weird when your right out there not been one for the mysterious and paranormal or a beleiver in bigfoot but ive heard about some of the strange stuff that happens in the deep forest just be interested to know if there ever has been anything unusual out there and i dont mean bears using the toilets either
Wow your flying down those rapid shoots, awesome video Jim. Hope your buddy Xander watches this video and see's the importance of why you should have a cover on your canoe when running rapids.😂
Loved this ONE a LOT !!! Makes me think of some of the things I did but TORI DID THEM BETTER !!! Love it when you come across A MOOSE I YELL MOOSE ALERT !!!
Thanks a lot, ya and I have a subscription to a music library. When I’ve used all the good stuff from one, I switch over to another for better and newer stuff. Glad you’re liking the content man. Just got back to Whitehorse, Yukon after another trip.
Really incredibly beautiful nature where you go. Regardless of the dangers you run. And all alone. Did Torry like the nugget? It was again a great video. And too bad you lost your equipment.
Not gonna lie, I was happy to hear my all time favourite jim baird quote "bam, bam, bak, bam, every shot to the dick" lmao gets me every time. Thank you
Jim I just hope you have North with you on this Yukon trip. You owe it to him and he is ready. Not to mention it’s your ears and nose when your sleeping
Totally Amazing Content. Thank You for risking your life so we can sip coffee & watch your Videos... Now go & punch a baby duckling in the face... Ha ha
It’s in Aug / July and then the winter Feb / March. The mountains typically aren’t that to hold snow all summer in the interior where it gets pretty warm in summer and very cold in winter unlike more coastal regions. That being said, Mount Logan in southeast Yukon is the tallest mountain in Canada at 19,551 feet [5,959 metres]. There was snow in the mountains that I saw on my float plane flight and around where I was dropped off for the Hess river including Keele ice cap. They never loose their snow.
