It was an amazing experience to meet Jim, Tory, and the children at Hootalinqua and to see them paddling every few days. Thanks for the shout out and the fish photo!
Back in the day you and your family would be starring on National Geographic and we'd be watching you every Saturday night on TV... Fast forward 60 years and here we are. LOVE your content and family. Please continue.
So cute to see Jim teaching Huddy about cleaning and cooking fish! Also super sweet of North to lay next to Wesley and keep him company while Tori gets camp set up and settled..
I’m always fascinated with Wes’s cognitive growth. I wish every child could experience the life you and Tori are offering your boys. Huddie has the vocabulary of a 6 or 7 year old. He’s catching 🎣 and 🛶padding the canoe. What a life ‼️
Grayling al Hudson. What a great camping spot. What a great camping trip. Thanks for posting to RUclips. Watching a little further I guess I have to say camping spots. Thanks again.
You guys are a Beautiful Family. Wesley and Hudson are so cute. They are lucky to have you and Tori as their parents. Love your channel and your adventures you go on. Safe travels always. ❤
Huddy -"I'm a strong boy". Nice campsite at Hootalinqua with the wooden canopy. The old wooden boat was interesting. Wesley was sitting up really well at the campsite near the end. Kids love being outdoors. Good meals and great family time. Really enjoying this family adventure. Thanks for taking us along.
My children 12 and 14 and I did the Yukon river in 1995 in CTC blow up raft with a 3/4 HP outboard that was a weed wacker with a 2" propeller and blow up kayak. Very tame river. We saw two other groups during the entire trip. There were no camp sites like you are finding. There were areas that were cleared off in the bush and a few native fish camps. The paddle wheeler at Hootalinqua was still painted white and you could climb into it and not feel unsafe. Looks like a nice safe float now with all the camp grounds and traffic you can be saved by fellow boaters. We did see one 14 foot aluminium boat with an outboard going up river.
This is the one at Hootalinqua and it’s the first one we came to on the Yukon River, before this we were on the Teslin. The Yukon Government has put in the little shelter and some outhouses as well as some plaques at Hootalinqua. Aside from our first day where there were some people fishing in day trips in motor boats, we only saw one group of canoeists in the Teslin but at Hootalinqua we bumped into three groups as it’s a naturally good place to camp and a bit of a bottle neck naturally. I wonder if that’s why it was a traditional meeting place. I imagine that a lot can change in 20 years though
I love watching this family! Seems to me that Wesley has gained some core strength, but these kids are so fortunate to have parents who take them out to experience the great outdoors!
Hi Jim Tori, how beautiful are the forests and calm water, talk to the children and breathe the free and healthy air of the forest, I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina and it is a city and it does not have much pollution but there is
I just finished "cookin fish, fish" on my fire outside too! cant beat it.🐟 (and its raining here too!🙄🇬🇧) Another great vid as usual 👌 thanks for taking us along with the family on another trip in the wild😊
I get excited when I see a new episode of the Yukon adventure ❤ what a joy watching you guys as a parent myself exposing the boys to nature and learning and history you guys are amazing Tori your beautiful n tough
Yeah They are Parents of the YEAR here !!! Those 2 Kiddos are growing like weeds now !!! Man I remember when Wes was Born then HUDDY WOW long time ago !!!
Hootalinqua was the one stop on my Yukon trip that we camped near others and actually used it as a trading post, which was historically ironic and helpful!
Under and it seems to be a natural place where multiple groups converge automatically. This is likely why it was a spot where people have been meeting up for so long.
Thank you so very much for sharing your adventures…I wonder if you understand how much joy each of you bring to so many ! even North staying close to Wesley Can you share how to make Peanut Butter Ramen????
I would love to do a trip with you and your bro, but at 56 im not sure if i have what it takes anymore although i am geared up for anything that comes my way. Another great trip, beautiful family, great content, ty man.
What a great video Baird Family. I enjoyed watching Huddy laugh and being his usual silly little boy. It was cute! Wesley is really growing up fast. How old is he now??❤❤
setiap rumah tangga manusia hidup ada kerumitan perjalanan hidup tenang saja harungi bersama isteri bersama keluarga sendiri panjang akal sentiasa Amin
I absolutely love your vlogs. With your family and your brother. Would your trip be doable by kayak? Also nice to see the old buildings haven’t been trashed.
Haha, well quite a few and I’d been there a couple times for other trips well before I had a RUclips channel too. I believe 9 times I’ve been there but I don’t live there.
Thanks a lot. I can see your point, that if I can float better, I can rescue people better should the canoe tip over in some freak accident. Personally, I would be able to rescue people faster without a lifejacket on. This is why lifeguards (which I am one) don’t wear them.
I understand your reasoning but I guess I am thinking that as skilled and experienced as you are it would be tough to remain calm and logical because of your emotional connection. Thank you for your professional response.
Jim: I am curious about the name on your canoe..........Miramichi. We live in Miramichi, New Brunswick and was just wondering the significance of the name on the canoe.

Man kudos to you for both getting to meet Jim and the family but also for getting a chance to paddle that route!
Jim and Tori - the parents every kid should be lucky enough to have. Wes and Huddy won the lottery. ❤
I love how North lays next to Wesley all the time protecting him. Dogs are really amazing! They just have an amazing sense of who needs them.
100%

Thanks a lot and you know, we actually had a Nat Geo show called Home in the Wild. They did four episodes.
Hey Jim and Tori, PARENTS OF THE YEAR, and l’m so glad y’all are doing more videos. Thanks! ☺️☺️☺️👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️
So cute to see Jim teaching Huddy about cleaning and cooking fish! Also super sweet of North to lay next to Wesley and keep him company while Tori gets camp set up and settled..

Pump out 80 miles with Huddy helping paddling lol.
😀🥰👍
"Bye island!" xD
Sternwheeler ... Lake Laberge ... it's the Cremation of Sam McGee live action.
😊❤
I absolutely love your vlogs. With your family and your brother. Would your trip be doable by kayak? Also nice to see the old buildings haven’t been trashed.
Ya, I’d say they would be for sure durable by kayak. Both the Hood and the Teslin / Yukon.
Hey , Jim how many times have you've been to the Yukon now ? I don't know if I missed something and you decided to move there !
Haha, well quite a few and I’d been there a couple times for other trips well before I had a RUclips channel too. I believe 9 times I’ve been there but I don’t live there.
Great video. Jim please wear a life vest at all times, you have so many to rescue.
Thanks a lot. I can see your point, that if I can float better, I can rescue people better should the canoe tip over in some freak accident. Personally, I would be able to rescue people faster without a lifejacket on. This is why lifeguards (which I am one) don’t wear them.

I think YT left a decimal point out in your sub count, should be, 1.91m .
Thanks a lot
A flat wood with string float back to jim
Jim: I am curious about the name on your canoe..........Miramichi. We live in Miramichi, New Brunswick and was just wondering the significance of the name on the canoe.
The canoe is named after the river. Its the name of this model of canoe
Jim do you have relatives in the US? My friend is Krista Baird. Same red hair, etc.....
I do but not with the name Baird I don’t think. Of course Baird is a Scottish clan name so they aren’t all blood relatives.
@JimBairdAdventurer understood. Thank you Jim.
When is Ted going to post his trip to the Hood
Soon!
@JimBairdAdventurer ok thanks Jimmy...cheers
