I got one of these for $60 - my first streaming box and it works great. I am able to run Netflix and Prime Video (sideload). I only use it in 1080p as my internet is not strong enough for 4K. The included remote works well and I did not feel the pressing need for a dedicated keyboard (as I can use Chrome cast for RUclips playback - no need to type in the searches) I am using VLC player for playing files off the USB - it can play 10 bit HEVC encodes well - yet to test 4K files. Using it with my MiTV 4 - this box really unlocks the smart TV potential with Android TV - Patchwall is useless.
I use an Amazon firetv 4k stick, and also have the normal Fire TV. TV wise I use the TCL l55p2us which has an awful smart interface, hence got the firetv stick.
To everyone asking about JioTV on this - yes I managed to install it via sideloading and it works - but the JioTV app was designed for touchscreen phones - so you will need keyboard+mouse connected to your mibox to interact with the app properly Also JioTV stream quality does not look great on big-screen TV.
BlueMarvel42 not a good decision, It has all the functions of google chromecast.. So for the price it’s a steal.. P.S I hope it’s mi box 4,The 4K one, not the previous old version
I actually use my ps4. Its smooth and i already had it. It has a good amount of options like netflix and amazon prime plus i have used the web browser to watch anime on different sites. Thats not the best but its free and does work

It runs on Tizen os i guess which has slow response rate but, it runs most apps from the samsung app store such as Plex, RUclips, etc. Has Samsung's All Share Cast and also supports MiraCast which can mirror your smartphone screen and also casts RUclips videos, VLC from your android.

can do using an hdmi to av converter.....but the converters in the market right now suck and will heat your product to a point that they will reboot frequently thus ruining your experience. Would not recommend doing it.

Hey, can u check whether mi box s support 3 TB external hard drive 2.5 " . Because most of the led TVs won't support external hard drive which are more than 2 TB. My Samsung 40" full hd led tv won't support 3 TB external hard drive but 2 TB works just fine. Please do check by connecting a 3 TB hdd to mi box s.
