Dear Mr.Dharmendra Kumar and the keen listeners of this coveted show. I was very much thrilled and excited to watch the story of Unique temple at Chamarajapet, Bangalore. We lived in the neighborhood and I also went to Rameshwara gudi middle school for three years from 6th class to Lower Secondary (8th class) from 1953 to 1956. Our residence was at Fourth main road and past 6th cross. Brings back a lot ofLmight be one of the very handful survivors of that era and the most senior one!!!! When I joined the middle school our head master was Mr.Rangaswamy, a stocky very kind gentleman with a black cap adorned. Later on came Mr.M.Dayanidhi a wonderful English teacher as head master. Some of the teachers I still adored and remembered were to Govinda Sharma, an unbelievable Kannada teacher, Mr.H.L.Nagaraj, a math. teacher who always needled me and after I went to college and Medical he became one of my very close friends. The other teacher that I cannot forget is my other Kannada teacher of Tamil decent Mr.A.R. Sundaresan whose rendition of Nala's praise of Damayanthi in Aranyaparva is still ringing in my ears and to impress my friends at parties I usu ally recite the poem and make a good impression and thanks to ARS. At one time probably in 1954 Puttaparthy Sri.Saibaba who was a very guy adult visited Rameswara gudi school and gave a bhajan and what I remember very vividly was his lighting a bhang joint without a matchbox and that was very impressive for a 12 year kid in me. The lights in the auditorium was completely switched off so that we could see the joint being lit without the help of a light. I still remember the entire school had one fresh water tap and it was always dry. There was a jackfruit tree in the school and temple vicinity. Lots of place to play around had wonderful time going to Rameswara gudi and school and the school was called Model school. Thank you Mr.Dharmendra and you rekindled a lot of very good and pleasant memories of my childhood days. If there is a way, I would like to keep in touch with the alumni of my old school. I live in New York and been here since 1974 and though I live here, my heart is in Bangalore and that too in Chamarajapet. With lots of regards and Best wishes to all residents of Bangalore and specially Chamarjapet and that too to my alumni of Rameswara gudi school. My mother who is 90 year old studied in this school in early 40es. My husbsnd's grand mother who would have been 125 year old if alive was also studied in the same school. I did my SSLC in the same school in 1964 which had had been named as MODELSCHOOL later. Thanks to Dharmendra kumar. I don't know how many celebrates came out of this school but recently in Prajavani paper brought Shri A V Anand mridangist who has bagged so many awards and rewards for his knowledge in mridanga to light is also alumini of this school who happens to be the classmate of my mother in 40es.

Nice to know that you are an alumni of Model Middle School and your's truly also moved across the street from Rameswara gudi school for the last four months of the academic year in 1956. I remember so vividly the frenzy of moving school furniture across the street and remember the bottleneck on 4th main road side that there was no wide gate to move etc. I was really 10 yrs. old (DOB 1946) and did sustain a few bruises and last nigh I was showing that to my lovely wife a gash that was sustained during moving the school furniture to Model Middle School. Late that year I moved to National High School. Now we live in New York since 1974 and planning on moving to Bangalore in my (our) sunset days. I had a a very good 50 years stint in US and been practicing, teaching and doing hard core research in Bone development. Have one child, a son who is 48years old and a Cardiologist and head of the dept. at the university hospital. My wonderful wife is from Chamarajapet also went to St.Teresas school and he is a house wife and does a lot of progressive deeds with the local and government level (just time pass!). I always enjoy talking to people and specially from my old schools and really derive a lot of pleasure which I do not get mixing with my old collegues from several universities that I attended here. Thank you for the information as a resident of Chamarajpet and an allumini of this school I would like to state two film stars of Kannada have also studied in this Model primary Middle and High Schools are Late Dr Vishnuvardhan his brother late Ravi kumar My schooling carrier started in this premises which was used by great musicians who used to practice music for their concerts for Ramanavami function I do remember there was a haberdasher i in the Temple premises in whose room Ghatam was kept by renowned Late Ghatam Manjunath for his practice in the premises Thank you very very much for the information and please keep up the good work
This temple is constructed by my grand father Late Sri H Ramaiah ,who used to live on 5th main road Chamarajpet, was the undersecretary to the state of Mysore, he was also the maternal uncle of Sir M.V , unfortunately they had a picture of him it was removed by minister during 1974, Mr.Ramaiah also was the first trustee of mariyappa hostel which is opposite to this temple, sadly no records of who intiated the construction of this temple is not available, if Mr.Dharmendra Kumar provides his phone number of his office at Jayanagar we can visit him.

Wow.. Nostalgic.. I spent 18 years of my formative years in Chamarajpet. I used to play cricket in Sri. Rameshwaram temple..thank you for the video.. I recalled my memories with all my friends.. Dinesh, Bhanu, Vasu, Gopal, Gururaj, Sunil, Srikanth, etc....
This temple is constructed by my grand father Late Sri H Ramaiah ,who used to live on 5th main road chamarajpet,was the undersecretary to the state of Mysore,he was also the maternal uncle of Sir M.V , unfortunately they had a picture of him it was removed by minister during 1974, Mr Ramaiah also was the first trustee of mariyappa hostel which is opposite to this temple,sadly no records of who intiated the construction of this temple is not available

The Elders and many Leading Commercial establishments ,Associations of Chamarajpet requested to take part in this projects to take this Place to another few centuries.
Sir this video as all other videos on Mysoorina kathegalu is truly great. Your hard work applaudable. I usually visit all those ancient places in and around Bengaluru using various information and one best information is from your videos. I already visited Begur Nagaeshwara/Panchalingeshwara temple, Kittyyana inscription, Hebbal. I do not know whether you have visited Ananda Lingeshwara temple - Hebbal/Anandanagar which is about 10 minutes walk from Kittayyana veeragallu.. THere is Kunti bande there near the temple. Its beautiful Sir. The temple is on hillock and beautiful bandekallu surrounding the temple. There are old ancient pillar remains of the temple at Ananda Lingeswara temple too and Mathaji Susheela is very hospitable here. Please do visit sir. There is a cave temple of Kailaseshwara too which will be open only till 9.00 am. If you have already vlogged it, please share the link sir.
Very nice as always. Thank you especially for remembering my great grandfather Sri. Karpur Srinivasa Rao. He was one of the founders of Kannada Sahithya Parishat, designer/architect of Chamarajpet Layout, was the chief engineer of Mysore Samsthana immediately after Sir MV and took over construction of KRS from Sir. MV. Both the names of Sir. MV and my great grandfather are on a stone plaque at the entrance of KRS even today along with other names. Please do a video on Kannada Sahithya Parishat.

My uncle Nadoja Dr. S.R.Ramaswamy and I have done Veda Parayana in the temple during Dhanurmasa for several years. I studied in Madari shaale from 1946-51 passing LS . I recall teachers CK Harirao, Sundareshan, Kalyanamma Seenappa amongst others. I recall Harikatha pravachana by Hebbani Krishna shastry. we used to sing Kayou srigowri till independence in 1947. went on fro a few more years. All classes were held in corners of Krishnaraja mandira. we used to be lined up for dreaded small pox pricks with a free tea place needs to be kept alive S Balakrishna PhD. presently with NASA Langley. My grandfather, who also a renowned Harikatha exponent, used to come to your house. Quite often I used to hear the name Karpur Srinivasa Rao, Devudu Narasimha Shastry from him.
Who in their right mind gives a thumbs down for a such a wonderful video with such hysterical explanation and perspective and I see nine thumbs down. May be these guys need their head checked or opposing for the sake of opposing!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please do not commercialize or let this go out in private hands who will take control and will make rules according to their personal intrest. This should be a Government and Heritage site and let government take the responsibility to develop and make it a public place of worship

The kuladevatha was some amman with simha vahanam near a river with vishnu deity nearby.we searched thru locals since d name of d god is not known.we couldn't trace.could u help us.regards sridhar

Sir this video as all other videos on Mysoorina kathegalu is truly great. Your hard work applaudable. I usually visit all those ancient places in and around Bengaluru using various information and one best information is from your videos. I already visited Begur Nagaeshwara/Panchalingeshwara temple, Kittyyana inscription, Hebbal. I do not know whether you have visited Ananda Lingeshwara temple - Hebbal/Anandanagar which is about 10 minutes walk from Kittayyana veeragallu.. THere is Kunti bande there near the temple. Its beautiful Sir. The temple is on hillock and beautiful bandekallu surrounding the temple. There are old ancient pillar remains of the temple at Ananda Lingeswara temple too and Mathaji Susheela is very hospitable here. Please do visit sir. There is a cave temple of Kailaseshwara too which will be open only till 9.00 am. If you have already vlogged it, please share the link sir.

Very nice as always. Thank you especially for remembering my great grandfather Sri. Karpur Srinivasa Rao. He was one of the founders of Kannada Sahithya Parishat, designer/architect of Chamarajpet Layout, was the chief engineer of Mysore Samsthana immediately after Sir MV and took over construction of KRS from Sir. MV. Both the names of Sir. MV and my great grandfather are on a stone plaque at the entrance of KRS even today along with other names.

Dear mr. Kumar,I live in tamilnadu,erode dist.our ancestors lived in chamrajnagar some 4 generations back and migrated to tamilnadu. They were tamil speaking brahmin. The kuladevatha was some amman with simha vahanam near a river with vishnu deity nearby.we searched thru locals since d name of d god is not known.we couldn't trace.could u help us.regards sridhar
