I feel like he should go an octave higher toward the end. It would give the song a bit more of a flare. But I love this.
Not really a good idea- because that would push part of it outside the usable range before things get ear-piercing and shrill. As a rule you want to keep the trumpets inside the middle octaves.

i play trumpet, clarinet, flute and piano but trumpet is defiantly the hardest when it comes to getting the hight notes
+Shula Scotford Good job playing so many different instruments. I've played all those instruments before for college classes, but yea, high notes on a trumpet is the hardest. Sometimes I almost passed out though trying to play flute haha. You have to use a ton of air.

I’ve been wanting to pick up a trumpet again and practice for church it’s been in my mind. I was in the band and then marching band when I got to high school I wasn’t really that great I quit my junior year! But hear lately I’ve been missing it! Been asking for a trumpet for Christmas haven’t gotten one yet!!! One of these I will have one and practice some church songs! What kind of trumpet do you got?
I currently use a Yamaha Custom. And I hope you find a way to get a trumpet soon!

I’m a trumpet player, I’ve played for 3 years, and I can finally hit a high A. But this summer I have to get braces or Invisalign.. and next year I’m auditioning for 2 things that need me to play a high G. I doubt anyone here is an orthodontist.. but any suggestions?
This article might help a bit: www.trumpethub.com/trumpet-playing-with-braces/ I just googled "getting braces trumpet". This is just one article, but I saw a ton just on the first page. Because tons of trumpet players have gone through this before you, and tons of trumpet players will get braces after you. Good thing about the internet, is that people share their experiences :D You may get responses on this post, but even if you don't, I would suggest using google and read some of these articles so you know what to expect when you get braces, and how to deal with them as a trumpet player :)

How come you can see through the Trumpet by the Bell
+T_Hitman313 !!! I'm using a green screen, and let's just say I'm not the best at using it lol. The lights I have in the room make the green reflect onto the bell of my trumpet, so to put a picture behind me all the green color needs to disappear. Since there is some green reflecting off the bell, the bell disappears lol

what could possibly be wrong with your trumpet for it to blend with a green screen?
LOL! My green screen isn't super big. I mean, it's big, but I have to be relatively close to it when filming so only the green screen is in the background. And part of the green screen is in the reflection of my bell. So when I get rid of the green in editing, rip bell 😂

great sounding, just need to work on getting your camera in focus, I would also use a brass colour trumpet so that your green doesn't reflect on your silver. This will prevent your background bleeding.
MsFurball1992 Thanks! I normally don't get too many comments about the camera and reflective trumpet, which is surprising. Yea, part of the bell is missing in almost all of my videos lol. I don't think I have quite the right equipment. My green screen isn't very wide. Because of that, I either have to zoom in on my camera (which takes me out of focus) or just have the camera closer, which means I have to be close to the green screen and walah! Part of the bell is gone.
Regardless of your equipment i think you should be able to pull off a high quality video. What I would suggest is using one light as a main light just on the background, sit about 2 feet away from your green and have a second light for you and the trumpet to your right facing down at about 120 degrees. If you have the light on the bell of your trumpet giving a more powerful then your background light that may just get refection off of the light instead of the green.... Going back to focus.... it's alright if you record more then just the screen as you should be able to crop the rest out just like you would a picture but with video. Alternatively if you can't find a program that will crop for you at a cheap or even free, you could just take a bunch of news papers or buy a few bristol board sheets and tape them together, go to a paint store and have them match your green and paint your huge board giving you a larger screen.

You're amazing man. You got to teach me to play trumpet. I've always to learn it. In fact, my goal is to learn every instrument in the symphony orchestra I've taken care of the string category. I'm ready to receive brass instruments. But, I've tried blowing into one and it seems like a challenge. Maybe, it's just because I have respiratory issues. It takes up a lot of breath in me case, unless I'm exaggerating. But, wait a minute, I have a question. How do you change notes with only 3 valves, and I realized in a different video, someone was pulling with their reed finger in that circle thing, so is that supposed to do?
Thanks! It's amazing that you can play so many instruments! I don't currently teach trumpet, though. You can change notes on trumpet by using what's called an aperture (space between your lips) and your tongue with the air. Like, when you're playing higher notes the tongue arches upward in your mouth. It's kinda hard to explain. The 3 valves just give you different combinations to get more notes. You can play many different notes with any combination of valves.
@@thetrumpetman So, it sounds like you're supposed to tune the trumpet yourself. It all depends on movement of lips and tongue. Is that right?
@@raquelvasquez5152 Yea, pretty much. Off the top of my head I can play 7 different notes without pushing any valves down. I can play another 7 different notes with just the first valve down, etc. If you look around on RUclips there are probably videos of trumpet players explaining how to get started on trumpet better than I can explain :)
@@thetrumpetman Omg that's crazy/amazing. I also love how brass players make such a smooth tone, which is what you've demonstrated while some just blast the sound. How many octaves does a trumpet have? Also, i realized how some professional players probably use resources to make their tone smoother specifically for videos. You know those microphones that they attach to their instruments? I wonder if that could make my sound better for a recording, but I wouldn't want too much material. I would only want the microphone itself that'll fit onto every instrument. Do you know about this whether or not it makes tone sound like heaven, basically like the sound you made? If so, please tell me about a microphone that would come itself.
@@raquelvasquez5152 In regards to how many octaves a trumpet has, it depends on the player. I have about 2 1/2 octaves, but others have 3 or even 4 octaves. For the sound, you can make it sound smoother with resources by editing the audio in special audio programs. For the microphone, I don't use one that fits onto the trumpet, so I can't help there. I play right into the microphone I use. The microphone you use does help what quality sound you get, but the sound also depends on a lot on the audio effects you use when you're editing the audio in your computer afterwards :)

As for tone, I personally think it's alright, although I struggle sometimes with overall stability and pitch centers. As for articulation, I think I put too much effort into making youtube videos instead of practicing what needs to be practiced, like articulation. I guess that's a good and a bad thing.
+stage&screen_tpt It's good entertainment overall. There can always be another video. Part of the tone could be your mouthpiece. I can't tell exactly what you're playing on, but it looks from my perspective to be quite shallow.
