In my 29 gallon, I have 7 neon tetras, 3 dwarf rainbow fish, 2 dwarf gouramis and about 40 shrimp. The shrimp do a great job on the algae and the gouramis eat the shrimplets when they can find them to keep the shrimp populstion in check. The neons hang out at the bottom of the tank, the rainbows at the top. The gouramis go wherever they want. It's a very peaceful and beautiful tank that I would definitely recommend.

I just moved my pair of Angels into a 29g tank on Wednesday!
They grew up in a 20g tank, and I was looking everywhere for a vertical tank to move them to and my mom just so happen to shut down her 29g vertical tank !
I took the remaining 4 fish, put them in the 40g community tank and deep cleaned it. The tank was littered with algae.. I had to use a lot of elbow grease to get her sparking. The angels are SO happy now!

I love that someone as esteemed as yourself in the fish hobby doesn't knock on Glofish. I have 5 Glo Red Tiger Barbs and one Green Tiger Barb in a 20 Gallon tall (with 2 nerite snails) that I've kept for 3 years now. They are my favorite out of my 5 tanks. I call it my "Spiderverse Tank" now. Five Spidermen with a giant Green Goblin. The Glo guys don't grow as big or fast for sure. Green Goblin quickly took over as head honcho even though I added him last as a baby.

I'm currently 2/4 weeks into dark start with my first ever Iwagumi Aquascape in a 29 tall (plants to come thereafter). I had the idea of hatchet fish looking like birds flying between "mountain peaks" of the rocks, but it sounds like they don't do much swimming around... so perhaps I will have to acquire some neon tetras to get that affect? I also plan on stocking with 3 or so Otocinclus (I'd like to get more, but I don't think the tank's big enough to provide that much algea/food for more). They do enjoy schooling on all levels of the tank :-) Thanks for the tips!

Any recommendations a good freshwater for a puffer that's 1)good for a 29 gallon tank, 2) relatively inexpensive, and 3) available in the USA during this pandemic mess? i wanted to get Carinotetradon irrubesco but they're not available right now.

Can you keep one fancy goldfish by themselves or do they like to be in groups? Most goldfish enthusiasts I see always have a large tank or pond with a bunch of goldfish in there, I rarely ever see them owning just one. Just something I've been curious about!

@@amym.4823 Haha nice! I've got smaller 10 gallons for breeding guppies and other live bearers, corys and neons and for angel fish and discus grow outs but my 80 gallon south American setup is my pride and joy. In my new 30 gallon I think I'm going to try breeding apistogroamas or another dwarf cichlid! Happy fish keeping

I upgraded from a 10 gal to a 29 gal. Now I have a school of guppies and a betta sorority along with some neon tetras and some rasboras. I sorta wish I saw this video before that

I just got 3 baby angel fish and two seem to really like each other and one just stays by itself. Could it be possible that the two at their young age have already paired off as a mating pair?

Hi, I have 18 mollies fry can you please give a suggestion for tank setup and taking care. 2 already died. I love them a lot don’t want to loose them. I have 10 gallon tank

It's really cool that you care enough to count your fry. I was an accidental molly mom the last two years and raised up fry in my main (and only) tank. First I would say they wont all raise up no matter what you do. Here's what helped me: feathery, fine floating plants. I had cabomba but I think anything too dense for adults to enter will work. I fed powdered flake food from a dry paint brush several times a day, close to their floating fortress. For my first batch, I also put a mesh around my filter intake and a foam baffle on the outflow. I didn't bother the second year and still got about a dozen to raise up.
