      @@larryzigler6812 I mean don't get me wrong. It makes perfect sense to be more reactions of Floor because she is the present, Tarja is the past - yet for the significant amount of Tarja reactions there still is, proves that she is irresistible and something unique, especially considering Anette is barely mentioned.

      Yes...I checked that and it was so fun....they made also Carelian pies (pastry) special food from that region...and other fun stuff. Most older NW fans like me remember the fact that Tarja comes from Kitee - the same small town than Tuomas - in Carelia.

    • @Boa_Omega
      @Boa_Omega Год назад

      Actually from a smaller place yet just outside kitee popular. She grew up rural. Like any woman she loves dressing up in those amazing outfits and getting her hair done etc. But to be in comfortable clothes and just being herself. And yes Tarja really is that humble and generous.
      The concept of fabulous rock star is kidnapped by Finnish hill billies and forced to sing is funny to say. Glad to see them having fun here. Which I mean you get rich and famous enough by doing what you love to do. Learned that you love performing and now have the F you money to spend your life making YOUR music, your way on your schedule with absolute control and the fans love everything you do. Whilst having a family life seperate from the public. And everything is the dream you hoped for as a kid.
      If you can't play like a child and laugh like a child then? When the hell could you?? When you know you can produce the heck out of any project till it is polished more than a diamond but what the fans want is the stuff you produce from the heart?? What is not to love. To celebrate! Now is the time to explore passions.

    That string thingy is called Kantele ""A kantele (Finnish: [ˈkɑntele])[1] or kannel (Finnish: [ˈkɑnːel]) is a traditional Finnish and Karelian plucked string instrument (chordophone) belonging to the south east Baltic box zither family known as the Baltic psaltery along with Estonian kannel, Latvian kokles, Lithuanian kanklės and Russian gusli.[2]""

    • @frankmcfrank392
      @frankmcfrank392 3 года назад +4

      @@ingridwatsup9671 Karelia (Karjala) is a region split between Finland and Russia and most of the Finnish folklore (Kalevala) originates from that region. There appears to be a clear connection with the Russian/Slavic name Karel (that would be Charles) in the English name, but the Finnish name refers to cattle (karja). On the Russian side of the border there’s still a minority spoken Karelian language, but on the Finnish side the spoken language is really just a dialect of Finnish, which has some similarities to Karelian, which is part of the Finnic language family with Finnish and Estonian.

    I would like to suggest Tarja's cover of Rammstein's "Ohne Dich". It is very beautiful! Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/uUAzRN9Co7s/видео.html. This is a video with 6 songs, but in the description there is their name for you to click and be taken to the one you want. In this same link there is a very beautiful song by Tarja. It is called "The living end". Both performances were recorded in a church in Wacken. Tarja is only accompanied by a piano, a cello and a violin. Is really beautiful! Thank you!

  • @Idefixu
    @Idefixu 3 года назад

    Since you like Sleeping Sun, here is another version in Finnish: Maria Lund "Uinuva Aurinko"
    (Maria's mother Tamara Lund was a known soprano. She was in the national Opera of Finland, then she had a successful career in Germany, singing mainly operetta. She also sang popular music. "Sinun Omasi" ("Yours"), 1965, is one of her biggest hits. Composition by Rami Sarmasto, lyrics by Tamara herself. They were engaged, but Rami died in a car crash. The 1992 version of the song has operatic vibes. I'm not asking you to react to either one of these songs.)
    But I would like you to react to "Timo Rautiainen & Niskalaukaus Live at Pakkahuone 2002"
    It is a video of the whole concert.
    You could react to the first two songs, they are quite short. Starting at 3.57, ending at around 10.10, applauce till 10.20. Two songs, only 6 minutes.
    "Leijonan periaatteet" and "Ihmisen oikeus" ("Lion's Principles" and "The Right of a Human"
    The name of the band Niskalaukaus = A Shot to the Neck.
    One young Tuomas Holopainen on keys.
    Timo Rautiainen, the band leader, a teacher by profession, told in the description box ( in 2017) that he thinks the 2002 tour is the best the band ever did, not least because of Tuomas. Timo tried to convince Tuomas to forget about Nightwish and join Niskalaukaus, but Tuomas did not warm up to the suggestion. I would think Timo was not too serious with his suggestion, I believe he knew what the answer would be.
    Edit: Maria Lund did a very different but good cover of a Niskalaukaus' big hit
    "Surupuku" ("Grief Costume"). And a grief costume is black. I think it was Johnny Cash who was asked why he always wears black and he said the way the world is, is the reason. If one day he could see more justice he was ready to change in to something snow white. This is the idea behind the song "Surupuku".

    It confuses me a bit. Nothing wrong with Tarja’s performance and the arrangement, the accompaniment is definitely interesting, but the vibe it gives off seems to contradict the lyrics and intent of the song.
