Did you this is a true story? I look up Dorothy Quick and she was a friend of mark twain's friend.

    Huckleberry brought me
here. And...I want to stay here until the comet comes!

I have a picture taken from our back yard in Texas in 1986…..the comet only comes every 75 years. I certainly do hope you get to see it next time. When we saw it, I could hardly believe that I was looking at the same Comet that brought and took our amazing Samuel L. Clements aka Mark Twain. And now I am 76 and have a grandson named Samuel aka Sammy aka Sam with a head full of hair that reminds me of the pictures of our Mark Twain except it is copper penny red! Such an amazing man….there will never be another like him.

(in case you don't know that other film I thinking about is Will Vinton's Adventures of Mark Twain"

I adore this .. I have for many years been where Clemens and oddly Robards both had hung out. I adore both and it is ever so lovely to see this. Thank you for making this posting .. I have laughed and cried with this remarkable piece on Clemens in his last years. As one grows older as i am, I can see the wisdom of much of his words..

I can only think of Hal Holbrook. And just realized, Holbrook and Twain both married very sweet women, and they both lost them.

Samuel Clemens, lol, he truly had a persnipity edge, a bit of a certainty that flattered his intelligent mind, yet bordered on a bit of know-it-all-all, yet he was so witty, so charming, and so good at weaving words that spun the stories that the whole world would be mesmerized by.
I love the stories about his life in Nevada, he really was crafty when describing his experiences in that era.
There's a Biography-Documentary on Mark Twain that is one of the best ever Produced, I believe there's a copy here on RUclips, recommend a watch, for sure.

SJW’s are trying and in some cases have, to remove Mark Twains writings from our schools and libraries. They say they’re “racist”.

Richard Dawkins quoted this remarkable man to Piers last night. Both had a good laugh. Twain endures and is loved by so many in all walks of life.
