38 year old mum here, got myself a scooter for my birthday 😅 Your videos give me confidence to learn the skills. Spent the day doing tiny bunny hops today. I can go down ramps at the skatepark that don't have that pipe at the top, and I have natural pump and flow. It's so much fun. Would I look too dorky if I wore knee pads etc at the skatepark? 😂 I would probably be less intimidated if I was padded up. Don't want to be injured with a 2 year old to look after. Thanks for the videos!
That’s so awesome! Sounds like you’re crushing it already, knowing how to pump and flow and go down ramps. That’s so awesome. You should definitely toss on some kneepads and elbow pads and even butt pads and most definitely a helmet. Every time I ride, I basically wear a full padded body suit to keep my body functioning and moving when I fall. It’s the times that I don’t pad up that I get seriously injured from goofing round. Here’s a video I actually made talking about pads specifically and how important they are ruclips.net/video/qskbML7Wjz8/видео.htmlfeature=shared

Awesome video. Quick question... recently got a RideVolo T02 scooter from Amazon so I could ride with my two young boys. The bar is only 24” and I’m about 6’3” tall. Is it stupid for me to ride this scooter? It doesn’t feel bad riding it. Feels like I would need to get a scooter from parts to get a taller bar.
that definitely sounds like it might be a bit on the small side for your hight. for example i am only 5'5 and my bars are 24" tall. but i always say right what is most comfortable to you. but if you did want to go for a bit of a taller bar i would recommend about 26-27" tall for your hight.
@@ChaseRost thanks for your help. I don’t mind the height. Slightly take bars would be better but I don’t want the expense of building a scooter from parts. I just got one to ride with my two young sons. Cheers
try your best to practice just lifting it up and doing a manual. after getting comfy doing that. then you wanna focus on bringing that back wheel up. I talk a bit about this at 2:38 give that part of the vid a watch back and try to really brake that part down slowly till you can get rid of that fear
Hopefully we'll get there one day. but seriously every like comment and subscribe means the absolute world to me. so if you have any scooter friends that you think would like my channel definitely tell them to check out some of my vids. i'd so greatly appreciate it!
as you start your j hop, make sure you are leaning forward. a lot of the times when rider slip off the back, its because they are leaning to far back. also make sure you are pulling up with your hands, this will help keep the deck glued to your feet as you get higher and higher.
My feet are in the same direction as your in the video (45°) so while im on scooter should i push of the ground with my right foot?(the foot that is in front) or the left foot cause right now im pushing with right foot
Any tips on keeping the scooter straight on the bunny? I'm new to riding and when I bunny, the back of the scooter always strikes out at an angle. I don't know what causes it so its hard to know how to correct it and keep it straight. Cheers :)
I would try to focus on having your front wheel leave first, and then pulling your back wheel up. Kind of like a manual to Bunnyhop. (J hop) this will help keep you straight while you’re in the air especially while you’re moving when trying bunny hops. And technically there’s nothing wrong with having the back and kick out a bit. This actually happens to me especially when I am jumping over high obstacles. Hope this helps! If you’re still having trouble with your bunny hops at all, definitely let me know and I’ll try my best to help further.
I’m gonna try doing this when I get on my scooter because usually when I do bunny hops I just kinda do a tiny hop off the ground and cant get over anything lol
you got this man! this trick mainly comes down to the fundamental Technique so just keep sending them to build up that jumping strength and you'll have then high in no time.
yoo thanks so much for watching! i love hearing when you guys like watching the tutorials. Planing to add a few more to my "How To" playlist soon. if you have any tricks you'd like mw to add to this list: ruclips.net/p/PLO4_z7G-gYba9iSdvR_NyxybSlJ7LKwjd Definitely let me know!
My feet are in the same direction as yours while on scooter so should i get speed with the right foot or left ? Cause right now im pushing of the ground with ny right foot while they are pointing left 45°
BMT_ KXMBI definitely recommend checking out my how to tailwhip tutorial. I pair the tips in this vid with the tail whip. Practicing the “step kick catch” motion that I have in that vid and then combined them with the high hop. And then that will help you get tailwhips in no time
Here is some advice, even tho im not a pro You shouldnt fear not landing it. If you trip, dont worry! The pain wont last long. If the deck hits your leg, the pain wont last long. Most importantly, never give up!
Hey I don't know why but I'm really scared to lift my knees up with the scooter, I guess my body just thinks I'm going to fall, do you have any tips to help with this or should I just keep practicing? Ps what scooter would you recommend for a beginner around 5'6" tall?
Sounds like you need to just get a bit more comfortable on your scooter. i would Recommended trying to first just get your knees/legs moving on your scooter by swerving back and forth through cones. then id Recommended just trying to lift your front wheel over cracks until you can get comfy using your legs to help you pop up your scooter. And i Actually have a amazon list with a few great entry level scooters: www.amazon.com/shop/chaserost?listId=2P2JRDIH8VDNO&ref=idea_share_inf if your looking to jump into the game with a a great scooter out the door, i would highly recommend my companies scooters: raptureproscooters.com/
Hi! I got a question me and my brother are trying to learn how to jump onto the curb of a street?, well my brother can do it very well but me on the other hand is every time I jump I get on the curb but my feet hope off? do you have any advice?
sounds like you need to work on pulling your scooter up to help keep it glued to your feet. sometimes your feet can come off if the deck is not closely held (pulling your handle bars up) up to your feet. its also possible that your grip-tape is a little slippery. if thats the case, that could definitely be a problem as to why your feet keep coming off. if you need any help installing new griptape on your scooter, i have the perfect tutorial for you: ruclips.net/video/wMeFx581bno/видео.html and if you need new grip-tape, a sheet that i always recommend is available here: raptureproscooters.com/collections/grip-tape/products/og-rapture-griptape But besides that, just try to make sure that you are staying balanced and comfortable in the air. no matter how slippery your grip tape is, you still still be able to stay on if you're properly level and balanced when you land on the curb.
sounds like you might be adsorbing more with your arms than your legs. i know exactly that feeling you're talking about when your palms hurt from the impact vibrating from the ground up your bars to your hands. the way to keep this from happening is to focus on your legs and really try to absorb and decompress the jump with your legs on the way back down. you can also try to lean back just a pinch more to make sure the weight is off your arms/hands. hope this helps, definitely let me know if you're still having any troubles with this.
i have a problem i keep accidentally putting my feet down in the air because i’m scared of falling, i recently hurt my knee and can’t do much with it and i fell off my scooter yesterday and it’s worse, i’m scared to break it.
I would definitely recommend giving your knee a little bit of time to rest. Never a good thing to try to ride while your injured. When you are healed up and ready to start riding again I would highly recommend trying to practice bunny hops as low as you can at first to get comfortable with them so you don’t feel like your going to fall. Once you have your balance down and are feeling ready to go higher then start to work on the fundamentals I talk about in this video to better your bunny hop. Hope you heal up fast mate
@@ChaseRost thanks mate, i’ve been practicing bunny hops higher rather than lower so i should start doing it low so i get comfortable first. before i do anything i’m going to let my knee heal considering they want me to have an X-Ray, thank you for your advice mate! :) 💪🏼🖤
I can bunnyhop, but not with any distance, like I can't jump over or off anything because there's just no distance. idk if I don't have enough speed or something, but I guess it's because I'm brand new to this stuff
I would recommend laying down a piece of tape on your driveway and try to just start with getting your front wheel to cross over that line. Then slowly get more speed and height each time untill your able to hope fully (both wheels) over that line. Then you can start trying to hope off and over things
Na you’re totally right. i actually do this no purpose tho. It helps with tricks like nose manny’s and foot jams. Also it helps minimize speed wobbles when pumping super fast. I actually made a video talking about the pro’s and con’s of riding of riding forks backwards ruclips.net/video/8MPmGUFBLvI/видео.htmlfeature=shared
When you pop up and bring your front wheel up, try to pull your knees up with you. this should force you to get your back wheel up. You can also try to practice doing a very small nose manual. sometimes just being able to get you back wheel off the ground while your front wheel is still on the ground will help.
Do you know what that dinging sound is from your scooter? It started happening to mine i just wanna know its not anything to worry about Edit: nvm i figured it out Edit 2: well I thought I did
try to keep your arms a bit looser. a lot of the time riders hands will hurt if they keep their arms locked and hands gripping super hard. the vibrations from landing then shoot through your hand, but if you keep everything loose as you land it helps distribute the shock.
i have the perfect videos for you, How to feeble: ruclips.net/video/dmHQkTN_xPg/видео.html how to Smith: ruclips.net/video/tw1DrGZA6Tg/видео.html How to 50-50: ruclips.net/video/EmRjR2ylfC8/видео.html These three videos should help you get better at the basics of grinding.

You shouldnt fear not landing it.
And i Actually have a amazon list with a few great entry level scooters: www.amazon.com/shop/chaserost?listId=2P2JRDIH8VDNO&ref=idea_share_inf
if your looking to jump into the game with a a great scooter out the door, i would highly recommend my companies scooters: raptureproscooters.com/

I make normal bunny hope can i do tricks?
Hi! I got a question me and my brother are trying to learn how to jump onto the curb of a street?, well my brother can do it very well but me on the other hand is every time I jump I get on the curb but my feet hope off? do you have any advice?
sounds like you need to work on pulling your scooter up to help keep it glued to your feet. sometimes your feet can come off if the deck is not closely held (pulling your handle bars up) up to your feet. its also possible that your grip-tape is a little slippery. if thats the case, that could definitely be a problem as to why your feet keep coming off. if you need any help installing new griptape on your scooter, i have the perfect tutorial for you: ruclips.net/video/wMeFx581bno/видео.html
and if you need new grip-tape, a sheet that i always recommend is available here: raptureproscooters.com/collections/grip-tape/products/og-rapture-griptape
But besides that, just try to make sure that you are staying balanced and comfortable in the air. no matter how slippery your grip tape is, you still still be able to stay on if you're properly level and balanced when you land on the curb.
@@ChaseRost Alright! thanks
Ty
Absolutely!
Who brand is the scooter?
Rapture Pro Scooters
I landed bunny hop tailwhip it feels so much diffrent than normal tailwhip
Definitely helps give you some extra time in the air when you get that bunny hop in there
when i land the bunny hop my palms hurt really badly. Do you know why that happens?
sounds like you might be adsorbing more with your arms than your legs. i know exactly that feeling you're talking about when your palms hurt from the impact vibrating from the ground up your bars to your hands. the way to keep this from happening is to focus on your legs and really try to absorb and decompress the jump with your legs on the way back down. you can also try to lean back just a pinch more to make sure the weight is off your arms/hands. hope this helps, definitely let me know if you're still having any troubles with this.
@@ChaseRost Alright thank you!
I love how this has no dislikes
ahh heck yeah!!!! thats so dope!
@@ChaseRost its becouse it works
i have a problem i keep accidentally putting my feet down in the air because i’m scared of falling, i recently hurt my knee and can’t do much with it and i fell off my scooter yesterday and it’s worse, i’m scared to break it.

Ramp in the background
hahaha i saw that only after i started editing the video.
I learnt how to do it in one day
Right on thats sick!!!!
You are so underrated :(
thanks man!!! we'll get there one day, but until then, every like, comment and share means soooo much to me.
@@ChaseRost :)
Dude I’m so confused because I don’t ride goofy but I do so my feet on the deck are my left on the top and my right at the bottom help me
I still can’t 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Please help ❤❤
hey man, what part of the bunny hop do you seem to be getting stuck on, ill try my best to help
Try jumping on your scoot and pulling it up while in the air!
good conden
♥️
Just saying, could be wrong, your front whell is round backwards
Na you’re totally right. i actually do this no purpose tho. It helps with tricks like nose manny’s and foot jams. Also it helps minimize speed wobbles when pumping super fast. I actually made a video talking about the pro’s and con’s of riding of riding forks backwards

How do I bunny hop on a scooter with front suspension?
It’s going to be a pretty similar technique. The suspension might just give you a little bit extra pop in the beginning.
@@ChaseRost I’ll give it a try. Thanks!
What do i need to do after learning an bunny hop?
If you learn it, do other tricks, check his “how to scooter better” playlist
Thx guardian
Dude, for some reason i can only lift the front wheel, idk how to lift the second
It started happening to mine i just wanna know its not anything to worry about
Edit: nvm i figured it out
Edit 2: well I thought I did
what was it?
@@Bajuenah thought I sorted it out but turns out I didnt
I know how to hop I just went to watch to see if I can learn a tip to jump higher
Nice dude! hope my tutorial was able to give some helpful insights on how to pop you bunny hops higher.
How i do this without hurting my hand
try to keep your arms a bit looser. a lot of the time riders hands will hurt if they keep their arms locked and hands gripping super hard. the vibrations from landing then shoot through your hand, but if you keep everything loose as you land it helps distribute the shock.
@@ChaseRost thanks ill make sure to try that
Bevercredk park i know where that is
You called it!!! thats such a fun halfpipe at that park
fun fact my friend knew how to do tailwhips before he knew how to just do a regular bunny hop it was the funniest shit
Wow that is pretty wild. Definitely not the norm there
He’s liked every single one
You know it!!!
Thanks I’m 9 and almost can bunny hop
Right on dude that’s awesome! Only 9 years old and already getting the core tricks down!
3:08 someone getting snaked big time.
hahaha every time i watch this back i cant help but see that too.
